Are the mounting plates on those your standard diameter for things like the Brick and other turret cupolas?
Do you have a missile launcher for that? Nobody seems to do missiles on turrets that aren't humongous. Something that would shoot the same missiles as a heavy weapon squad not manticore or deathstrike or anything..

Two things today. First, new release:
Star Alliance Pads (set of 10)
http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=454
Fully compatible with previously released shoulder pads, of course
Then... something still being worked upon...
Here you can see a little preview of upcoming new weapon system and some of examples of use. As you can see it is pretty flexible. We are trying now to use these kind of guns as a hand weapons for Strikers
So, do You like it? Any additional ideas?

Replace Ripper's head with a gun. Or, more seriously, you could also place the gun barrels under the arms with the arms holding support handles, sort of like with a minigun. Three guns so he can shoot everyone in the universe.

Post by: MLaw
I'll repeat my earlier question PW.. any chance of getting a missile launcher box to go on that bad boy?
42470
Post by: SickSix
I would love to be able to mount heavy weapons to the backs od my Rippers just like you have shown in that picture. But it would also be nice to have different arms where the weapons are carried under the arm.
49999
Post by: Frozen Ocean
Loving the weapon mounts, though they could really use an ammo feed system (at least for the ones that aren't energy weapons) and a camera on the mount somewhere, so that they can be remotely controlled from anywhere inside a vehicle (rather than by an operator forced to look through the viewports of the cupola). Remote weapon mounts are something sorely missing for Space Marine-scale vehicles, so this is a good thing to see.

Received my prize stuff today, once more many thanks to PW!
I'll post a full, pic-filled review later, but to cut a long story short I'm impressed. There's a couple of very, very small bubbles on some pieces, but no worse than any resin I've seen from anyone else, and they're small enough that five seconds and a dab of liquid GS, superglue or even just primer would clear it up. A little flash, but again no more than one would expect from the material, and the details on the parts themselves are very sharp.
Can't wait to get painting these up, and some more Puppetswar products are certainly going into my to-buy list at some point!

Hello
Sorry for not posting for more then a week but I was on a short holiday (really, really short)
I will post things which were released or previewd later, but today something fresh.
First assemble of Valhalla Champions!
Inspired by Vikings in the Future concept, our designers were hard working lately, making such miniatures as visible on the photo. Do you like it? Would You like to see some more units made in similar style? If yes, what kind of units should we made?
99
Post by: insaniak
That's badass.
Must have.
82903
Post by: MLaw
Those are indeed nice! For other units in this style..specifically the viking thing.. some older veterans with damaged armor. Some more lightly armoured scouts. A priest with all sorts of Nordic runes and ceremonial implements. Also, a similar concept but maybe a little different would be some berserkers (not Khorne berserkers but maybe they could work for that too..). I do mean something like the original meaning https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berserker Obviously a chieftan would be cool. Also wolves and crows with cybernetics. Both animals are heavily associated with Norse mythology and would work really well. Maybe even some being ridden. How clever would that be Actually, if you do decide to make wolves, having some without cybernetics would be nice for people who want them for fantasy... maybe have optional heads or legs in the kit or something..

Regarding the WIP at the bottom of the last page - I'll echo several other posters in saying that you hit it out of the park, EXCEPT the shoulder pads. I think they stick out too far and are a bit awkward looking - seeing them with less "thickness", if that makes sense, would really help a Lot.
If you could make that tweak (and you can also offer different types of pads) man, that would be a really good seller, I think.

They do actually have Native American heads. Or at least heads labeled as such.

H series environmental regulators keep the TERMOS much better insulated from outside conditions than the more common RIPPER suits.

Agreed, please get rid of the tabard or make it an optional, separate piece that can be left off! You will have much broader appeal that way.

Bodies and arms have 3x1mm holes for mounting magnets, which allows for simple assembly and disassembly of hands and weapons.

99
Post by: insaniak
Treadheadz wrote:

Looks like they're going with 'Termos' as the name for the base armour, with different names for the different configs. So the Ripper is Termos armour with the close combat claws, Paladins are Termos armour with sword and shield, etc...
9674
Post by: Olgerth Istaarn
Why are the high crusaders posed so damn awkwardly?
94981
Post by: PuppetsWar
@Paradigm - all I can say is 'soon'. He will be available as a part of bigger set probably.
@Treadheadz - sorry, just saw your question. Termos is name of the armour, Rippers (or Ripper) is a name for a unit of soldiers in Termos armour.
I would like to mention, that High Crusaders may be armed not only with widowmakers (as the ones shown yesterday). You can freely use all our weapons and arms, for example these Power Halberds.

Post by: Frozen Ocean
Absolutely "classic". The only reason we use Roman numerals so much in the modern day is because they're cool.
Meanwhile, you're one of my favourite sculptors. Any chance of you doing some "Space Elves" in the future? The problem with "Space Elves" by "other companies" is that they're really, really badly proportioned. Giant balloon heads and big meathook hands and feet make "Space Elves" look a lot less cool. Nobody makes any alternatives, though, which is really sad.
94981

Regarding Space Elves... We will try to fully flesh out our existing factions first I think. It was discussed some time ago and the conclussion was that we will develop existing lines first.

Really? Jes Goodwin makes almost all the Eldar sculpts, and he's one of the best sculptors and concept designers in the industry (ever IMO). Wouldn't mind some more competition though, mantics efforts (the only alternative I'm aware of) don't really inspire...

Awesome! I look forward to it!
I was very much speaking of grunt soldiers, but that said, there are a lot of people out there (myself included) who are desperate for some kind of power-armoured battle nun... Perhaps with a heavy Gothic/Knightly/Catholic Church theme, even. Just a thought.
Mymearan wrote:Really? Jes Goodwin makes almost all the Eldar sculpts, and he's one of the best sculptors and concept designers in the industry (ever IMO). Wouldn't mind some more competition though, mantics efforts (the only alternative I'm aware of) don't really inspire...
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love them conceptually and artistically, and I'm not saying the sculpts are actually bad. It's just that I really, really, really despise "heroic scale". I love the Eldar for their lore and their aesthetic, and it kills me that the only option for infantry are GW's official, ludicrously-proportioned products. Unlike the Imperial Guard, Forge World make no better-scaled alternatives (Death Korps, Elysians, etc) and there are no alternatives (whereas the IG can use any sci-fi or even historical humans converted properly). Unlike Space Marines, the models can't be simply chopped up and put back together (I'm "tallscaling" all of my Marines) to fix their issues. They're just so damn chunky!
Of course, there's also those awful and ancient models they have for Aspect Warriors. The sad thing is that all I'd need would be a Guardian alternative; anything else could reasonably be converted up from those as a base. It's extra sad because GW's models are going slowly away from "heroic scale" as time goes on (see the Skitarii and the latest Eldar Autarch), but they didn't make new Guardians or Aspect Warriors this past release.

I see! Yeah a new Guardian sculpt is sorely needed, and some Forgeworld Eldar infantry would be amazing. Anyway, that's neither here nor there, sorry for the OT Puppet Wars guys

It's on topic! It was why I bemoaned the sorely lacking state of the Space Elf market!
EDIT: I love the majority of things PuppetsWar does, but the human infantry are really great. If the far future yielded some "Space Elves" of that quality and scale, I'd be a very happy person. I'll be content with cool mechs and such for now, though.

Hey PW (or anyone else) -- hints on a decent method to fill in the empty spaces where the glass/whatever would be on the various windshields/canopies on these models? Looking at the big thing and realizing I have a trio of fliers or so awaiting closed canopies before I start painting them.

Post by: insaniak
I used pieces cut from a blister pack on this one - just cut to shape, and stick into the frame with superglue.
Any similarly thin, clear plastic would do.

Oooh, the Big Thing is looking more and more excellent! Are you making a helmet/head in a similar style to your Enforcer? It'd make them fit together aesthetically, as well as just looking really cool.

Ahhh, that's perfect. I've been trying to cut plasticard to size, because I apparently hate myself. Thanks!

Post by: MLaw
Anyone wanting to put clear plastic on a canopy, you can use craft glue to stick it on there without it fogging or, if you really want to go that extra mile, head to an auto parts store and buy some silicon adhesive. It's the stuff they use to attach rearview mirrors and after it cures (it does take a long time to cure) it is clear. I bought a tube for $5 or $6 at Pep Boys a couple weeks back.

I like PW's. Scibor just previewed something too but it's extremely ornamental, so if your friend isn't using super-decorative stuff PW is probably going to be where it's at for you.

Wow PW. That's freaking amazing.
lol, and now I'm thinking of using those big skull shoulderpads to make that thing a giant skull codpiece. For real though, is that out yet? I didn't see a link (will check the store in a second).
I have a few questions if you could please answer:
On the last picture over the top of the battlecannon type thing, what is that piece of resin? It's hard to tell at that angle for me.
Does that guardsman have a new helmet that we haven't seen before?
Do you know if this is closer in scale to the GW Knight Titan or the Dreamforge Leviathan?
Really fantastic work guys. Hopefully it also means more of this kind of thing in the future?
My favorite combinations are the flame weapon and the cannon with the cockpit. It reminds me of a Mechwarrior Dragon mech with that loadout
My name suggestion: The Purger

Post by: insaniak
Sweet baby jesus, that thing is awesome...
Prefer the first head and the cockpit version over the second head, but I would be really hard pressed to choose between those two.
A couple of nit-picks - The elbows look a little weedy. I think I would prefer to see some more hydraulics or something there to bulk them up a little.
And I'm not a fan of the hands holding the weapons. With the weapons mounted into the bottoms of the forearms anyway, the hand seems redundant and looks a little awkward. I would probably convert it to remove the hands and mount the weapons directly into the forearms.
Looks like a lot of fun to build, though, and would look awesome on the table. I'll take 5!

Post by: SickSix
Holy moly! Wow.
The first weapon loadaout is super sexy! But I really like the second head option the best. The cockpit would be my 3rd choice. But honestly I want one of each!

Agreed, the hands need to be optional - for some armies, they'll be perfect, but will just look wrong for others. Hmm, can't think what else to put there instead though, other than (a) a targeting sensor thingy, or (b) an auxiliary ammo box or power pack (which might not suit all weapons), or (c) another gun

a) squid pads > hydra pads for the XXth.
b) First head is my favorite, although having the cockpit opens it up to a lot more settings and armies.
c) Agree on: weedy elbows, hands need to be optional or just not be there (prefer the latter myself)
d) Name: The Constancy (official reason: a constant bulwark and reminder of the people's power. Soldier's reason: constantly breaks down)

As far as heads go, I like the second the most closely followed by the third. The first doesn't really appeal to me, but I'm also not much of a fan with regards to the Tau aesthetics. Also I'm an oddity in that I love the hands.

No, it's a bug. Facebook tech support tried to fix it and for a few months it was working again then it just stopped. I miss out on a lot of contests like that. Sometimes I get errors just trying to "like" something. They suggested at one point to just create a new FB page but a lot of my professional art is tied through there and some of my business contacts.

Guys, sorry to hear that some of You can't use Facebook but this time we must run it only there - part of the contest is popularity of jokes (likes).
And new releases for today - lots of them to be honest. Twelve sets of shoulder pads with Roman numbers. There are sets with I-V numbers available now, each number in two variants - regular and 'Termos' size. Regular size sets contain 10 pads, 'Termos' size sets contain 5 pads. Please note that 'Hierarchy' sets contain pads with numbers from I to V and there are two sets with pads of regular and 'Termos' size.
Photos show 'Hierarchy' sets and example of use on Termos and Striker models.

I wish they'd at least let Thor wear his helmet once in a while in the movies!
They've covered several of his "costumes"...and the helmet was worn once ( and was the awful one from when he became a dictator)....

They'd be great for a Space Wolf 'honour guard' type unit, I'm thinking something like a SW version of Sanguinary Guard with lots of gold, Thunder Hammers and Jump Packs, with those heads.
Expensive as hell, probably totally ineffective, but would look fething awesome!

Is there any painter to displays many of Puppets' models painted? It's hard to tell what the finished product looks like when just looking at the resin with no paintjob.

I took a couple pictures for size comparison purposes, at least of those couple models that I have painted.
Cyber Arthropods with the space marine who was the first model I ever painted.
The giant beetle with a necron warrior. I should have taken the image at a better angle...
Cyber Reaper with necron warrior and space marine. The reaper's about the same height as a deathmark. Also, the necron warrior is on one of the round "age of hate" bases that Puppetswar sells. I really love their 25mm round bases.
One of their termos pads. Not the best fit in the universe, but they're not designed for other companies' models anyway.

Thanks man, although I'm really curious about how Puppet's power armor looks, I'll definitely be wanting some of those units if I ever start a Necron army.

I've not purchased any of their power armors as of yet. I know that in searching, I've seen a couple images of the various sizes painted well.

I thought Findlay Craig got more likes with his Scotsman joke? That's the one that I voted for and it has 34 likes verus 29 on the Age of Sigmar comment. The winner was supposed to be the comment with the most "Likes", so did that swing in the last day or did you guys just miss that or something?
I am not sold on that particular head for the mech, so I hope there are options! Especially a more tech-looking one.

Ok, ok, more modesty from now.
New release - Mercenary Heads. Which face is your favourite? Personally, I like two (that's not cheating, right? ) - the shouting one and this one with a slightly mechanical, insectoid look.

So good! I like them all but for different reasons. Upper left and Upper right are just begging to be goons for Batman to beat up. Upper mid is either Riddick waiting to happen or a cyborg hacker for a GiTS type story. Bottom right has my Killzone army written all over it or any of the previous things I mentioned honestly. Bottom left, spitting image of the SNES Shadowrun game's main character. EDIT: Aegis - You're right. The weapon systems being in place definitely makes a difference! The lines of the cockpit style head piece are less drastic too I think, making it seem like a smoother transition.

http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=518 Is that for the walker too? I would guess yes but I don't recall seeing it mentioned. Nevermind.. the "Prime" thing gives it away.. figured it out And yeah.. the price is perfect.. It fits right inside my budget, unlike another company's large walker Now I just have to clear up that budget so I can get me one (or three) of these.. EDIT: Also.. these are 5.9" which.. yanno.. if you're looking for something grim and dark, this would stand in nicely. Just sayin..

Well dang, the walker with canopy looks great!
Weapons are pricey though, could you offer a pack of them? Right now you have to buy each individually:
http://puppetswar.com/category.php?id_category=269
It seems like the shoulder weapons are from their existing range. Could anyone point me to where they offer the smaller weapon types shown on the shoulders here?
There's also a better pic at the top of the current page of this thread. It seems like one set off weapons is being used to point up and one forward, and that there are options for each, but I don't know how I'd figure out what goes where.

RiTides wrote:It seems like the shoulder weapons are from their existing range. Could anyone point me to where they offer the smaller weapon types shown on the shoulders here?
The shoulder mounted weapons are setup for 3x1mm magnet holes. There are 3 mounting points on each shoulder (1 back, 1 side and 1 top). They should be able to utilize any of the Vehicle Weapons that have 3x1mm magnet holes for as well like the Nuclear Heater or Flame Cannon or Missile Launcher or AT Cannons.
Although you could probably use those weapons for the hand mounted weapons as well, the hand mounted weapons was setup with a 5x2mm magnet type hole. It would utilize any of the Epic weapons like Epic Prime Claw Left/Right, Epic Prime Blade, Epic Laser Cannon, Epic Flame Cannon, etc. All the weapons are found in the Mankind Vehicle Weapon section. A fully decked out Battlewalker with 4 shoulder mounted weapons, 2 hand mounted weapons runs about 75€ ($82.74)

That's just what I was looking for, thank you very much!
The only issue is they each come with 6 guns in a pack for 12 euros. If I'm looking to outfit one Prime walker with weapons, I'll have a bunch leftover.
What would be awesome would be a variety pack with 2 of each of these weapons for the top mounts... is there any chance of that Puppets War?? I'd place an order right now if there were (and would add a few arm weapons separately to my order, of course, since those are offered as singles)
82903
Post by: MLaw
Obvious solution is to buy 2 or 3 of these walkers
I do need to see which of the guns I already have though.. pretty sure I got a few when I bought an Enforcer.

Use the extra guns to create home-made turrets or for something else. They are also compatible with all their vehicles and turrets, so if you plan to ever get the APC or other vehicles they are still a good deal. The weapons are also sold in pairs 5€, the only reason I included links to the 6 quantity is because in my opinion it is the better bang for the buck. You can also by weapon cores for 7€, then by 6x weapon tips (just the tip ^_^) for 7€ which then lets you swap out the weapon pieces for a bit cheaper than by some of everything since all the pieces are designed to be magnetized.
AT Cannon Pair - 5€
Nuclear Weapons Pair - 5€

I ordered my magnets from Puppets War. The only reason was because 2 of them are standard sizes, one of them since they measure them in mm isn't exactly standard that I can get from my normal place I order magnets which is K&J Magnetics.
You mean you don't want to build a MechBay for the Prime to sit in, with a weapon rack on the side, weapon crates, armed with defense turrets? I mean who wouldn't want that... lol ^_^ There are always uses for extra weapons but I do understand, it was hard thing for me to determine. I haven't' figured if I want one or two and if I'm getting two then I would get the multiple weapons, but if I'm getting one then pairs... but I don't want to buy one and then determine I'll want another later. LOL!
