I think that with IG stand-ins the body armor issue is frequently moot. Since they're meant to imitate real-world or near-future soldiers, the extraneous armor often isn't needed. The Jailbirds, f'rex, have comparable gear with Catchan models (and with real soldiers circa 1970).
I live in a little geographical oddity called the Plateau, which doesn't have any of those stores.
But alas, one of my turning lights has failed, so I will be making the required trek to Canadian Tire. I will purchase Simple Green and appease the blood gods.

Casts in Progress
We've approved the prototypes for the following kits, and so they are currently being cast:
The Mecha JB (see images below)
The Mecha IE
The WereSheWolves (KST)
Upcoming Prototypes
The following models are being prototyped right now, and should be ready for approval this and next week. As soon as they are approved, they will be cast.
The IE and the KST Bikes are all cast, but we are still waiting for the riders
The KB, KST and IE Trikes and their riders.
The Remaining Items
So this leaves us with the large-sized mascots and the 54mm models of Freedom Fighters Raven (JB), Svetlana (KST), and Nertha (IE).
If your Rewards Selection is held back because of one of these 6 models, you can contact us and we'll try to arrange something so that we can send you everything that's ready except for these models, and ship these large-sized model(s) separately for a shipping fee which we'll keep as low as we can.

"Yes, you are my mortal enemy, but my pack of Gauloise iz empty and life haz lost all it'z meaning. So sad that you cannot understand the depths of despair that afflicts me. Now die"
Do they normally put a zed in blasé in Canada? Or have I just been spelling it wrong my whole life?
It's been so long since I actually wrote anything more than notes on an invoice, I actually forgot. My geruntive forms are still firmly anchored, though. En, not au. And please, peasant, use the cédille, will you?
I think I'm just waiting on the IE mecha and wolves now. Not 100% sure as they shipped me some more stuff with the freebies due to them not shipping out along with the rest of the free wave that went out to try and give all previous backers something before the new campaign ended.
I've been pretty damn sanguine about the wait since I first backed, but now that I know all my stuff's done, I'm starting to eyeball my mailbox and do the pee-pee dance...
"Yes, you are my mortal enemy, but my pack of Gauloise iz empty and life haz lost all it'z meaning. So sad that you cannot understand the depths of despair that afflicts me. Now die"
This was perfect. In every way. RH should print that on the blister.
Actually, you know what? I want one of those Kurganova mecha pilots for a future Warhound project. The Warhound comes with an extra, empty command throne, so let's put her on that one and put that in the cockpit of the titan!
I wonder how many people got angry at the silly hippo model that takes away all the seriousness of the other models other than that, beautiful stuff...
I was okay with the hippo - though it is not my intention to ever use that model, and the only reason I have it is because it's a freebie. But it doesn't negatively affect my value call on the range any more than the Dreadknight killed Grey Knight models from looking cool
Good lord the troops are a bit fiddly to assemble! Favourite so far is Baba Yaga, that is one hell of a miniature. So glad they changed it from the concept.
Whenever someone who pledged for a Kurganova Mecha gets their pledge, could you please take a picture of the unassembled bored, but blasé pilot for me?
Can't help but be amazed at their restraint though, they could've tossed more stuff onto their webstore by now, you know, sell more of that new stuff, but so far they haven't.
Well, they did get a somewhat large infusion of cash into the business. Plus the Paypal funds must be starting to trickle in now that some orders are out.
But you can also see this is penting up expectations and making sure it goes out with a boom of orders. If they release piecemeal, they might get people who will wait until all the goodies they want are in.
PsychoticStorm wrote: Got mine, looks ok, but beyond checking everything arrived I do not have time to do something with them.
Not sure what I am going to do with them too, whatever plans I had so long ago are long gone.
Likewise, they are sitting here in a box. The army idea I had has died a silent death in the meantime. Actually contemplating of selling the lot too free up cash, chances of me ever using them are very slim indeed.

In the same boat guys, i had this wonderful idea to reinforce my Steel Legion now i'm ehh on the subject.
Obviously they need to finish the first KS worth of models before they can complete the Art Book. I wonder if it will be in 2016? They've gone very quiet regarding completion of KS1.
It's August. Traditional month off in France. We'll probably get an update soon. A few things will go out. But with the lead-up to GenCon, I bet slots were already assigned at the casters so they took a bit of a back burner. They probably still get everything out before they release wave 1 of ks2. Or at least they should. On hey, free heroine!
I've only just discovered these and love the design. Picked up the Kurganova set last week so just waiting to receive it.
Am I right in thinking that with regards the TGG stuff, they're going to make and release everything they've shown concept art for? There's some stuff I've seen images for and renderings (?) but there's no minis out there. Sorry if that's a dense question, I've never followed a Kickstarter campaign before and obviously I'm a couple of years late to the table on this one!
Eventually probably works better for my wallet to be honest!
Some of the stuff looks amazing, saw the Sisters of the Crucible concept stuff in their latest KS and they look awesome. Guess it's just a case of keeping an eye on their site.
Only things left are..
- Freedom Fighter Raven 54mm
- Mascot Harry Large Size
- The 4 WereSheWolves
- KST Trike
- Freedom Fighter Svetlana 54mm
- Mascot Charlie Large Size
- Freedom Fighter Nertha 54mm
- Mascot Jinx Large Size
Dear TGG backer, with this 109th Update, the shore is in sight and we are nearing the conclusion of this first adventure together... Next month's Update should bring you the news that the last few remaining minis have been manufactured and shipped, but with this Update, already, the bulk of Rewards Selection have been shipped out to backers.
If you got everything but are still waiting for the Digital Artbook, please scroll down below to the Artbook section.
Don't forget that you can always keep an eye on the status of the production on this page. We update it whenever we get new stuff in, and note the date it was last modified as well. Scroll down to Wave 3: everything that's in green is in stock and shipping.
New Available Minis
Here are the models that became available this month and are currently being shipped.
The Jailbirds Bikes became available earlier this month and shippable
The KST Bikes
The IE Bikes
→ So all the Bikes are now in stock.
The Jailbirds Trike (became available earlier this month)
The IE Trike
The KST Trike (will arrive this Friday)
→ So by August 7, all the Trikes will be in stock and shippable.
The Mecha KST became available earlier this month
The Mecha JB became available earlier this month
The Mecha IE came in this past Monday.
→ So all the Mechas are in stock and shippable.
You will see that the Bikes, the Trikes and the Mechas are quite massive miniatures.
Regarding the Mechas, we strongly suggest that you really take your time and plan their assembly. The great thing about the joint system we created for the Mechas is that it gives you a lot of latitude for posing. But the downside is that, with so many parts, you won't be able to assemble everything to preview the pose without some elements together first... So make sure you work carefully and patiently, and possibly enlist a second pair of hands before getting out the glue...
And look for photos of the KST Bikes and IE Bikes in our next Update!
Casts in Progress
The KST Trike will arrive no later than Friday August 7, which means that all the Trikes will then be available.
The WereSheWolves (KST) are planned for around the middle of the month.
We are very excited to have the WereSheWolves at the casting stage. If you recall, they were released in the campaign as Uber-Stretch Goals, so they were not really planned to be included in the campaign at first, and even if we had had the idea for these characters way back, the concepts were actually created in the heat of the last few days of the campaign, with Alex the concept artist and Benoit the art director going back and forth like mad to finally nail down the look they were after.
We should have received their cast several weeks ago, but they proved much harder to cast than expected. So we ended up having to go back to the 3D models, split them in a new way, and send them out to the 3D printer a second time before sending them back again to the foundry for casting!
But things are not proceeding smoothly and we should be receiving the WereSheWolves casts within the next 7-10 days.
Upcoming Prototypes
This is the very last time you get to see this section on the TGG campaign, as the large size models were the very last to go into production.
The following models are being prototyped right now, and should be ready for approval this and next week. As soon as they are approved, they will be cast.
Freedom Fighter Raven (JB) in 54mm
Freedom Fighter Svetlana (KST) in 54mm
Freedom Fighter Nertha (IE) in 54mm
Mascot Harry (JB) in Large Size
Mascot Charlie (KST) in Large Size
Mascot Jinx (IE) in Large Size
In fact, all accessories and separate elements are already cast for all 6 models! Only the bodies remain to be approved and cast, which should be done within the next 10-14 days, so we should have them in stock and shippable a few days later in August.
The Artbook
We are currently hard at work on the Artbook. It will be quite a unique book as it will be composed mainly of colour double-spreads. It will provide a unique way not only to see the TGG in full fighting action, but also to get a peak into a more intimate side of their lives and culture.
Nearly every time we work on a double spread, we say to ourselves that it would make a cool T-shirt or a cool poster, so we'll be waiting for you to tell us if it is something we should do. We'll get back to this conversation as soon as we have more to show you.
Meanwhile, here's a sample of what we're currently working on.
There's also stuff on the 54mm models, assembling the Dark Mechanicum model, new painted models and a FAQ, but that can be found on KS itself.
Yeah.. same here. I've completely lost any intereste in them. The gaming system I wanted to use them for (40k) turned out to be even worse than I had expected.
Jailbird troopers, command, snipers and a bike
KST troopers, snipers and a bike
IE snipers, and a bike
plus a nurse Bernadette coaster
all look good (maybe a tiny bit of warping on one of the bike guns) although I've not opened the bags to check in detail, that'll have to wait for the weekend
sadly the missed putting my mechs, and cyberzombies in the box, but clearly realised the mistake as I've another delivery from them scheduled for tomorrow and then all being well that will be that,
KS complete (and to my mind a success)
and since I backed version 2.0 I can now start waiting for that
From July 7th '13 to August 14th of '15. Now that I have minis in hand? Totally worth it. Only conundrum now is how to outfit them for guardsman purposes.

Yeah.
This.
12 weeks finalization, baring any unforseen disasters, stated back in January. Backers were sent an email regarding this again in June...
Dear Connoisseur Box backer,
I wanted to personally tell you that your hand-poured resin cast Heroines are all done, except for the Technopriestess Nepharya in 28mm.
As you probably recall, Nepharya happened to be problematic to cast in hand-poured resin. We first tried to fix the master by hand, but the result was not good enough. So we changed the problem parts directly in 3D and then reprinted a new master just for the hand-poured resin cast.
We received samples of the actual cast yesterday, and they are perfect, so we have now ordered the production casts.
We will receive them later this month, and we will then prepare and send you your exclusive box of hand-poured Heroines in the post as quickly as possible.
Please remember that we will ship Nepharya 54mm and the printed Art-Book in a separate package at no extra shipping cost to you, so that you do not have to wait for the rest of your TGG Rewards.
You have been incredibly patient with us, and we hope that our hard work will please you. Meanwhile, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reply to this message or send us an email at RagingHeroesTeam@gmail.com
2 months later, still no notification.
Maybe next month.....
I've got quite a lot still outstanding, including a set of the freebies, since I bought out someone else's pledge but they decided to only send me one set as part of their promo for KS2.
I haven't opened any of the stuff I received yet. The painfully drawn-out nature of it all, and my reduced amount of interest in 40k has had me put the parcels on the shelf to open up and QA when the final ones arrive. I'd rather do it all at once, then in stages.
Of course, if they give me any gak for QAing them so late, it'll certainly be a fun back and forth.
Has anyone else mentioned having problem getting paint to stick on the minis? I've washed them well and the primer still gets scraped of ridicolously easy.
MIne arrived a couple of days ago, looks like everything is there.. including the wereshewolves.. going to boot up my buy list and do a final check to make sure there are no errors as they had made two mistakes previously.
However end result is I now have two full Guard armies, one each for me and Aurelia (ze wife) and we shall be looking to start preparations of much Guard themed carnage in the near future.
Will need to order some more GW bases mind, not a fan of the RH ones, the edges don't match my 40K ones.. damn my modelling OCD.
Oh and they provide 50mm sized ones for the werewolves.. which are too small in my opinion, so will be uping them all to 60mm.

Does the resin look greasy or sweaty?
It looks bit waxy perhaps but it could be because i've been rubbing the paint of with my fingertips. I guess I have to clean them more carefully? Damn shame on all that lost spray paint though.

If this persists after cleaning, take up contact with them, could be that you got a few models done with resin that hasn't cured properly.

Well washing and cleaning isn't really the same thing, I'll try actually going over them properly before I take it up with them. Also wouldn't it be odd for all the minis to suffer from a bad bathch of resin?
It isn't a bad batch of resin likely, but incompletely cured molds. The alcohols in the silicon curing agent inhibit curing in the resin. Usually this is noticeable if you scrape with your finger nail and a little bit of the sort of shiny, waxy stuff comes off. Cured resin should be flay matte, too, not shiny at all unless it is a cast of a perfectly smooth surface.
Then again, bad batches of resin do happen. A bad 55 gallon drum of resin will mess up a LOT of models
No flaking of the resin under the pressure of my nails, not even when viewed under a microscope. but as I said it appears a bit shiny in places, more like a waxy surface than a satin one (then again I don't think I've ever seen resin with a satin surface). More accuratly would be to say the reflection is not entirly diffuse (though mostly diffuse of course).
I had some of the same concerns, but my primer (the cheapie walmart colorplace flat black) seems to have held after I gave the minis a bath in hot water and Dawn liquid detergent. I'd try that.
Just letting the model sit for a few days in a sunny window or in front of the basement dehumidifier might take care of it too. Often works for me when I get too excited and pour a mold before it is perfectly cured. I also have had good results with spraying automotive primer over them so long as the surface isn't too soft/waxy.

Dawn liquid detergent? I assume that's a brand name? What is liquid detergent?
Also so dish-soap and water won't do the trick? That's kind of a relief because I've been scrubbing the same model for an hour tonight and I still havent gotten all the stuff of it.

UV curing? That's actually briliant. I was actually thinking about something similiar but I was unsure all resin worked with UV curing (also I was thinking more along the lines of using one of the sterilisation lights at the university I go to).
That said the shiny stuff goes away when I wash the minis (though not without great effort), so I doubt it's a curing problem... this time. however my paranoia over that made me give allt he models a proper checking and I found sevel air bubbles so I guess I'll have to contact them anyway.

Yes, Dawn is a type of Dish soap. It also tends to be the go-to detergent to remove crude oil from sea life during tanker spills, so... there's that.

So I'm taking it that I'm the only one who hasn't had any notice of what's happening with my pledge?
The backpacks of quite a lot of heavy troopers is missing about 1/4 of the top and some right arms have some misscasts on their shoulders. Some bubbles here and there, but nothing like Finecast.
The overall quality is AMAZING. Super crist and all. I fear though that the first layers of paint will cover almost all those details...
Witness my imminent completion.....warch me bleed from my face
"Hi Rayphoton
Thanks for staying in touch.
I have checked our files and I have good news for you: your Rewards selection is getting prepared and will be shipped on Monday.
You will receive a separate e-mail with the tracking information.
Just got my two boxes of stuff from this wave. I'll add it to the stack of boxes from the previous waves. Someday I'll have the time to assemble it all into an Imperial Militia or Solar Auxilia now force. Actually, I think the Dreamforge stuff that's still sitting in its giant shipping box will be used to make a Solar Auxilia army. So I'll use this stuff for Imperial Militia. Since I took a mix of all three themes, that could work out.
fething feth, it's like I'm watching an episode of COPS! All we need now are backers with faces so thoroughly beaten they look like water melons while giving that little speech.
One more completed, I received my minis yesterday.
I am in the same boat as the many who are unsure of what to do with them though. Waiting so long to get them just to set them on a shelf seems a waste however.
I may try to use them in Maelstroms Edge. Actually use some human models for humans in my beta rules games lol.
I just got my shipping notice. I'll compare everything with my pledge once they arrive. I had them make a single shipment at the end so hopefully I can write this one off soon.
I'm waiting for the final box. it's held up by a giant cat because reasons. Once I receive that, I'll open up my Wave 1 and Freebies and do an actual inventory to see what's good, bad, ugly, miscast and needs replacement.
I haven't had the heart/interest/any need to pierce the plastic around the box of W1 yet.
Got mine last shipment in today. Everything looks there and complete. My priestess has a bit of extra flash but everything else is looking great. I'll set up the pieces to wash this weekend and then prime. Some pieces look shiny like the prior waves, so a hot soapy wash will be needed.
Damnit Valhallan42nd!
I'll need to follow your lead now. I didn't mind the emissary but wasn't too thrilled with the mechanical 4 armed minotaur thing either. Meanwhile Nepharya will go well with the mech rider and all the lovely augmented humans and constructs.
You know...for such a big order(900 or so)...and such a long wait with all the build up and frustration and bitching and argument/counter arguments, whiteknighting and hate/non-hate...... My box is ...oddly small.
Just got my box (I think it's everything I ordered, haven't taken the time to check); and it looks great. Haven't had a chance to really dig into it, but on a cursory glance, I'm really liking what I'm seenig so far. Especially the JB Bikes and Werewolf girls.
Blood Rage is almost there.. so ... that means only Raging Heroes part 2 is missing.
Wow... I need to back more! I even have loads of money at the moment..
And no to something completely different:
Since 40k is more like a joke than an actual game and many of us are struggling to find uses for our miniatures: Warpath Kickstarter starts in 4 days for a new mantic ruleset.
It is about damn time! ... I have too many things on my plate otherwise I probably would have immediately caved. I think I'm going to have to go through and finally go through my Ebay pile of games and miniatures to make room finally, maybe do some trades.
I got a nurse Karoline and Admiral Kurganova myself, the rest didn't catch my fancy. I did recheck the KS site for what they got and made a small list of things I'll be getting over time as they start releasing them.
I've had it with these things, I've cleaned them of 7 times before the paint stuck well enough for me to start assembly and the force required to assemble them are again causing chipping. Not to mention I've had exactly one pin-hole joint in all my minis where the pin actually fit the hole.
Add to that I realise that I've lost parts in the weeks it has taken me to clean them, and several minis with air bubbles. The design is nice but the quality of the work is beyond abysmal.
Anyone have a customer support email to use? Because I have some things that needs saying.
Have to agree re the releasing agent they use. It is a nightmare to clean the minis. I have to clean them several times and still some area the paint doesn't stick to. I have then resorted to using varnish on those area and painting over that!
I've used hand soap and dish washing liquids...... Any other ideas?
What brand and kind of primer are you using? When you paint are you handling the minis or are they mounted so you aren't actually touching the places where you've painted?

I'm not sure I get what you're asking about? I mount them on their base and then mount the base on top a cardboard box then I spray prime them. And I'm using the army painter black primer. Of course I got to touch the minis when assembling them. But belive me this go far beyond any fat that could come of my fingers.

I wasn't meaning when you assemble them but when actually painting them. I used to have an issue while back but that was because I was handling them while painting them. The oil on my fingers was causing the paint and primer to chip and wear off. Once I moved them not handling them when I paint, they are on a miniatures stand so I no longer touch them. I stopped having an issue.
I simply use a toothbrush and soap to scrub, clean them and make sure they dry. Assemble pieces and then primer. I typically want the miniatures to sit for at least 48-72 hours before painting to allow the primer to properly bond. Sometimes if you start painting too soon it can cause a problem. It really depends on what brand paint you are using to prime with. If you are using some sort of cleaner or solvent other than soap, sometimes those can have a strange reaction with certain brands of primers as well. There used to be a post floating around about that somewhere. I then make sure when I'm painting that I don't handle them until after I've done the clearcoat.

Of course I don't touch the mini when I' painting it... Never mind the oil from you fingers, unless your paint is really dry (like 24hours since application) you might actually rub it of if you do.
It's been three weaks since I first cleaned them, since then I've cleaned them 6 or 7 times with diffrent kinds of chemicals (dish soap then the stuff I use to clean paint of minis and finally heavy duty detergent, the stuff i use to wash the facade of my house). And the gunk just won't go of. Then I left them for a week in a sunny window in case it was a curing problem.
Still don't stick well, Now I'm just trying to make it work. Decently well I'll just have to handle them carefully until I can put vernish on them.
Should that fail I'll go for the tip i got in the other post and let them sit for 30 sec in acetone.
Wehrkind wrote: Are there pics of she-wolf models in the wild yet? I would love to get my hands on them, maybe.
Not painted yet but I snapped a few pictures of the one I have together. Note the holes in the side of her face are for some flaring hair braids. those will be added post paint. all 4 of the models have the same flaring braid things
Appearantly you have to waste loads of sparay on many thing coats to get their resin to work. I'm so glad they chose such a awesome formula for their resin it would have been a shame if you could spray it like any other resin miniature. But no worries, everyone knows spray paint is free... oh wait.
Please note that applying primer to a resin miniature is not the same as for a metal one. You need to apply the primer in a very fine mist, and let dry, and then do it again. You might have to do 4 or 5 passes of very light spray. Otherwise, the layer underneath stays wet, which causes the eventual flaking.
I would say that's fairly standard advice for priming any resin miniature. Any miniature at all in fact. Multiple thin layers, allowing each layer to dry.
TheDungen wrote: Appearantly you have to waste loads of spray on many thing coats to get their resin to work.
Except you aren't. With a light dusting of primer, you're using roughly the same amount of primer you would with getting full coverage. Except you are layering multiple passes to ensure thin coverage but full coverage and bonding.

Yeah I would almost say that is for almost any miniature. But then again I usually airbrush so I always do multiple passes especially with primer. I've never just done one spray pass, even with a rattle can I would do light primering and then 2-3 additional dusting coats.

Except you can't regulate flow on a spray can when you press the button it sprays a certain amount, only way to make a light dusting is to hold the can further away from the mini which means you waste more spray into the air where there is no mini.

I also have several minis that took the paint very well, but others that seems to almost activly resist it. My guess is that the release agent got washed of some minis better than others and/or that the resin have cured to diffrent extent, which kind of means that their advice is pointless. Sure they can give a work around if there is trouble but the fault really lies with them.
I build resin garage kits....and..sometimes the window sill is not enough..Direct sunlight and heat are required to cure some kits. Try finding a safe spot out side and leave them there for 8 hours or so in the heat. That should dry them out completely

It isn't necessarily about the flow as it is the motion and when you start the flow and stop. You do not need to be further away from it to achieve dusting the miniature. Most people when they primer make the mistake of pressing the button when the nozzle is directly on the miniature, then move it around. Although it can work it does create extra overspray which can build up in spaces and the primer ends up being more liquidy which can pool and run. The correct method is to press the button, pass over the area you want dusted and release once you're past the miniature.

I'm not saying that isn't what you are doing and you may already be doing it. I'm just explaining what is normally meant when they say dusting over the piece. Very similar to the example in the video above which demonstrates multiple light coats.
Does anyone want some of mine? There are a limited few that might work in Malifuax, and that's my game for the most part. I'd love to have cash rather than these bits and bobs.
Going to need to find some pics to try and figure out exactly how some of these walkers/bikes go together.
However work on the two Guard armies has begun, now Aura is going Chaos with the Iron Empire it makes things more interesting.. two Imperial armies fighting each other would have felt odd.

Not painted yet but I snapped a few pictures of the one I have together.
Note the holes in the side of her face are for some flaring hair braids. those will be added post paint. all 4 of the models have the same flaring braid things

Awesome, thanks man! I definitely will be getting my mitts on those in the future! Some of the better looking wolves out there, particularly the heads.

Thanks man! That guide really helped me improve my spraying technique.

Yup they are really nice models. Here she is all painted up to my ability. I have not painted anything in over a year so there are things I do not like but I think she still looks good.
Also the rock outcroping she is standing on comes with her but the rest of the base (minus flock) is my first Basius base from that KS so double first!

As you can see I tried the more youngster friendly approach with the painting implying its all fur
At this stage I no longer have need of their mecha, the Ghostkeel will be released in a week, so my pre-Heresy Mechanicum robot needs have also been taken care off now. One can only wait so long for something to be released eh?
Still waiting on my last batch here. And even then, I think we need to wait until the QC is done after people receive their stuff. With an exceptionally busy quarter, let's now worry about locking it until at least Jan or Feb...
Because I don't want to wait for the Mech any more I thing about taking a Gundam model or the Deadzone Strider (or both) and convert them to fit the Iron Empire troops.
I have (at least) 3 Penitent Engine here and would use the parts for the Pilot.
The only questions is what weapons to take that are big enough for a Mech and fit the TGG style
PS: The plan is to make an universal SciFi Army which will fit 40k but also Warpath or other upcaming games.
For aircraft and tanks I use miniature scenery and maybe the mantic dropships when they are released
Well.... I just got a shipping notice for my final wave of TGG models.
but...
They forgot to send the second web of freebies from the other Dakka member's pledge that I bought out. Luckily I have emails from both Ana and Charlie confirming the second set of freebies would be a thing, so hopefully then they will sort it out quickly.
Then in December I'll finall have time to go through the stuff and QA it. Since I stopped with actively doing anything with 40k between when this ended and started to deliver I've just put the unopened boxes aside to QA all at once. I'll just have to grab out one model ASAP to get painted quickly as it is a gift...

To build another Lasrifle section or not using these horrible resins..
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also.. tempted to get a metal of this one, I'll just clip away the shoulder spikes though, but other than that, lovely!
In my opinion it is decent, if really, really greasy, even after a thorough cleaning (making gluing it all together a pain in the arse) and it does have its share of mold lines and gates in awkward places.
It's not as bad as some of the Forge World batches I had in the past, but still, far from perfect to work with IMHO.
They're having a sale now, 15% off with the code NOWYOUSEETHEM15
I caved in and decided to get enough KST troops (when did they start calling them "the People's Legion" by the way?) and assorted elements to build me one Lasrifle Section, plus as an added bonus, a metal Heleria Drakenfeld, who will go nicely with whatever future project I will think of next.
Just going to remove those shoulder spikes and leave the silly big gun off, maybe give her a peaked cap head I've got left over from my Statuesque Miniatures order.
Minor update from Facebook for those still wondering about the digital art book:
I'm afraid not. We want an awesome-looking book, but we had to switch graphic artists again, and we're still not happy. So the hunt is on and we are confident that we'll get there soon! But I'd rather not commit to a specific date right now... Nevertheless, please do let me know if this is a problem for you.
I think at this point the art book is all but forgotten by most people, I certainly didn't remember that it was still a thing, I'm not even sure if I'm entitled to one or not with my single mini pledge.
I am, huh, well that's something to look forward to whenever it happens then I suppose.
I just checked their KS site (www.tggks.com) and everything is in the green, so at this point everything is doner that done and should be in the hands of backers, or at the very least on its way now.
They are also slowly adding more and more of the first KS to their on-line store, so give or take half a year from now at the very least and everything should be on sale at long last.
Once that's all up and at it we'll see whether or not this will keep the company going, as their stuff isn't exactly diverse enough to build entire armies out of in my humble opinion.
