Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here, trying to come up with something to write. Maybe it wasn't my best idea to plant myself as far away from everything exciting on the arse-end of Crion.
This Gargant situation takes me back, though. Remember how I mind-fethed Acting-Captain Aurelius when he almost got stomped by a Gargant? Good times, good times.

Pink?
And other than a little detour to drop off a bit of garbage, we're on the moon I believe.
The admech are a little daunting because I'm so behind, I don't know what to do with them. Maybe they've been exploring all this time and are gonna find a reason to join in.
I would be down for a Crusade Command meeting at Canis Caelum but bear in mind that Faolan hates kroot which would make hiring them a bit ..... Difficult, not saying we can't hire them but keep them anyway from Faolan as much as possible.
Don't worry Irish, It will probably only be Ta'lok there, and I imagine he's smart enough to see when a space marine hates him. He'll probably be close to the Sharks, because they're on better terms with the Kroot. He might try to mingle with the Wolves, hoping they'd see common ground, but the Shaper is smart enough to not be the center of attention at Imperial meetings. That tends to lead to bloody messes.
My piece is up so I may begin writing that Crusade Command meeting unless somebody else wants to. If I do end up writing it, tell me who you are sending and what if any threats you may reveal and/or highlight do so.
So I was thinking of something along the lines of this
"If you leave the meeting relatively broad others can write in their own perspectives, which would make it easier on yourself, and let people have specific parts of the meeting from their own characters. It's up to you, of course, but it's just a suggestion to make writing it all easier." What do you guys think ? Like if I give you a general description of the room ye could go and write for your characters. Question is would be from one characters point of view or have every character thier own pov ? EDIT: credit to Blackjack for the quotation

Part two of three up. The plot will thicken. Right now, it is at about the same consistency as melting butter, I will stir it until it becomes a solid.
The beer is talking, don't mind me or the edits. EoN bloody beat me to it by a few days too.
Very intriguing piece, Vanden. I suspect Bob's scions are at it again? I jest of course, but anyway, it's nice to see more of Falkon. One of these days I won't be so busy so that I'll be able to write something of my own for him, but I'm still behind on certain events for my own two factions.
Yes. Burn down TS's forest. Great idea. I recommend with it.
Just so you know, my four scouts are still in the forest, and are also being hunted. Your armsmen ain't outta the firing line yet either, so have fun. I'll give you a heads up with the next piece once it is done.

You act like I care about hurting TS's feelings regarding that forest.
Also, burning down the forest when my guys are still in it isn't a good thing to do. For all you know, Ceasar and his scouts are just late for the rendezvous.

I'll concede that they might be alive (at least as far as my guys know), but I still don't care too much about his feelings regarding the forest

If you can quote me saying otherwise that'd be helpful.
What ? You said evergreen was the only one who had experience with the trees, so what did faolan eat some shrooms and just climb up a tree and fall head first ?

Will mention it whenever the Crusade command meeting gets called
From the trees, a wave of green and red emerged - a horde of large, powerful-looking Orks charged out of the undergrowth with surprising speed and the surety of foot that could only come with long practice and familiarity with the terrain. The Dark Troupe immediately spread out to give battle.
The first part of their trap immediately became clear - they roared and shouted, some beginning to attack the trees around them, provoking their fury. In response, the branches began to lash out at anything and everything around them, Ork and Harlequin alike. Several Orks were killed by the flora's vicious reprisal, but given their numbers, they could afford to lose Orks far more than the Masque could afford to lose Harlequins, and three members of the troupe found themselves entangled in the branches, their screams quickly ending as the wooden cages tangled around them, crushing them instantly. The others battled in a furious melee against both the Orks and the world around them - holo-fields flickering left and right as the Eldar fought for their lives, flipping, stabbing, slashing and leaping, back and forth, left and right.
While I haven't suffered the soul-crushing agony they've inflicted on poor Evergreen, I still took my knocks and know to keep on their good side! Which, frankly, is a lesson anyone who's been on an Exodite world should have learned long ago.

But I didn't give you the go-ahead with that, did I? There is a reason Evergreen had to come to me for a roll and that was because of the trees. I can't just have people saying the trees attacked them willy nilly because they don't act like that

Because I read in a way that would make your head hurt (From the bottom right to the top left) and I occasionally glaze over certain details of a story in attempt to get the bigger picture.

P.S. Ima have to PM you some stuff TS...And I hope you like it...
There are ways to die from it. If the shot pierced through one heart and grazed the second, and he hit the ground head first, I'm saying we have a dead marine. I'm saying one heart was grazed because he was able to say his Litany before dying.

Idk. I'm just going by the knowledge that a Space Marine jumped 100~ meters on a broken leg and could walk away. I'm sure 500 wouldn't kill him.
And if he got shot through one of his hearts? A awkward landing could easily kill a healthy Marine, so a awkward landing for a Marine with a seriousish injury would be lethal af.
Stories of people surviving ridiculoulsy high falls, its possible.
Edit: And my blurb's up, you can see why asking Space Marines help in that case was superfluous, I rolled well and killed almost everyone. Next post is going to be some blah blah with the Governor.

They wouldn't have been able to do what my Scions did, either, everyone would know they're not human within seconds.
They wouldn't need to infiltrate the Tillers. They woulda just taken in a few people, interrogated the gak outta them, then gone and murdered everybody.
Sneakyness is for Raven Guard, not real Space Marines.
Everything depends on rolls, anyway, perhaps you would've failed harder than me and end up with a bunch of dead Marnes. Who knows. And again. nothing I could not have done, but I went another route.

I didn't say it was impossible, I just said it was possible. Also, he may not have died instantaneously, but if he landed at an odd angle, he might end up with a snapped neck, and died while unconscious. Don't the sons of Dorn lack Larraman cells to heal rapidly?
But that's enough of this from me, and ever since TS asked, I can't think of a good actor for Archarus.

I went to Chazz for the roll, but admittedly the Orks using the trees were ad-lib after reading Evergreen's post, and I know I'm not the only one who's done it, if not which others have - where did you say that you dealt with any tree-related shenanigans? I must have missed it or forgot about it, so... sorry about that.
Nontheless, if it was going to be an issue I also feel it probably should have been brought up before now.
Anyway, I doubt I'll be taking part in this meeting, so hopefully it won't cause any problems with the narrative.

TS stop making Robin feel bad for writing something that even I don't remember you saying. Just explain why, then drop it. We won't bring it up anymore.
On the note of trees, one or two are going to get singed in my next, and without them getting singed, I have no idea how I would advance the plot.

I guess that means my job to find Eldar is on hold for thr Space Sharks. Ironically enough, I still want to meet up with the other xenos groups, but at least now it'll be on better terms-ish? Still no idea how I'll meet the Tau, but I can just keep rolling for clues on the Eldar, I guess. At least I know that the knife ears are on Crion.

So, with Ewryht'eikl's size being reduced, would it still be fair for psykers to sense his entering of the Materium? He's still a powerful daemon, but I figured that I should ask beforehand.

You could just put it as "a darkness has entered the warp..." but have it be very different than a shadow in the warp. Ewryht'eikl is not a bug
Writing has begun on the small piece that sets up the Crusade Command Meeting. In the meantime I would appreciate it if people could pm who will be attending and what would their opinions be of certain threats and if they would highlight some threats of their own.

The Arbiters want to disassociate themselves as much as possible from Ryus. By that logic line, they took the moon (or Ryus) out of their insignia and took all the paint off of their armour to show they have nothing to hide. Alright, my apologies for taking things too literal, I guess. Also, I'm beginning to realize how much fun I had writing about CSM now that I'm not anymore. How mad would people be if Gorgrim was really just serving as the spearhead for a chaos incursion? (I'm joking, of course, I am having fun with the orks, even if I don't always have a lot of time to write for them.)
Y'know, that design for the Histans reminds of how much I'd love to see some dioramas built around some of stuff from the first Crusade. Like, the battle between the Deathwatch and Archarus in that Necron temple way in the beginning, the meeting with all the Imperial leaders, the climactic final battle at Gallor Prime... and, of course, the beheading of that Ork Gargant (although modelling the BATTLEBARGE used in said scenario might be a bit of an issue)
Well, I found myself using my off time to work on my Brotherhood of Blight, despite the fact that I don't know when they'll actually ever get used for something.
Also, I would love to see a diorama of the battle in the temple of Mogrok.

Though the Mogrok Temple battle on a Zone Mortalis board? Yes please!

Theres an Imperial meeting that your inquisition are invited to. Just tell TS what your bringing to the meeting(ideas, suggestions observations etc.) and a number.
I think everybody would just shoot them on sight. That, or some of the more level-headed minds(Irish and Chazz, our lords and saviours), hold back all of the other bloodthirsty others(Kharne, Jhe and probably Bob) whilst the rest of us drool over pretty Grey Knight armour.
We would then discuss matter over a nice hot cup of joe.
Does that law involve getting people to not shoot at the Diplomat of Kroot? He's a really nice guy, if people can set aside his non human appearance. Also, he's bringing in a nice bit of eye candy, as a hint to what he'll be doing, but it isn't the eye candy you're thinking of.

EDIT: Also, school seems to be calming down a bit, so I might be more active. Expect rolls at some point.
And what meeting?
No, I shall never ever change religions.
Also, the meeting is just pointing out new key things, such as the chaos threat on the chaos moon, orky threats all around the place and whatever else you want to say.

Yeah but that was once
And why do you think TS and Chazz made ships NPC's? They don't trust you friend (and neither do we).

Trust me friend, you do not want me to create RamScythes, those are not a pretty sight
Well, the Knight was a part of Battlegroup 1 and this was the result
Group 1 69. major victory
some Harlequins attempt to ambush you but they are unsuccessful and you kill a dozen Eldar. You find a single Eldar attempting to overload the reactors and destroy the hive with you in it, you kill him.

Have at it
Good. Now I need to figure out what my Eldar are doing. Cogger is currently going to gak in a hand basket, and my Eldar are in the middle of it all
Still awaiting pms from TS, kharne and chazz as to whom they are sending and what threats if they have any that they wanna bring up wt the meeting and which threat they would prioritise

I thought I was keeping track of what they were saying, but if you have what they are saying, it makes it much easier for me to PM the outcomes of their rolls. I don't have to summarize what they were proposing then, you know.

Well I am writing it so I do need to know what they are are saying, want to get the characters right, will pm you what i got from people. Also need a pm from bob
Nicely done Chazz and EoN. And if the head is really that much of a distraction, Ta'lok has ways to keep it out of sight. Just, don't listen to what he's doing to get rid of it. Humans tend to find those actions to be 'upsetting' and 'disgusting'.
Also, I'm so close yet so far from finding out about potential Tau allies for my Kroot. Of course, I'm assuming that governor will be hiding that information from the Kroot in particular, for fear of a sudden alliance change, but I don't expect a cakewalk either, so please don't interpret this as a rant of complaints, it's just idle musings at best.
Sorry for not making myself clear, I meant for your changes to the AoT, because you mentioned wanting to change some stuff with them, but I do appreciate the update.

Besides being the overly sneaky gitz they already are, they are now a very cautious, very codex adherent chapter, now complete with Techmarines, Apothecaries, Librarians and 2 1/2 companies.
Ah, I guess I was looking into it too much. For some reason I assumed there would be personality changes or something. It is interesting to see the AoT changing to be less heretical, it shows a nice insight on what happens to chapters who aren't looked at favorably by the Imperium.

Which is why I am contemplating having the AoT say nothing at the meeting.
