It doesn't look like this has been posted yet. There's an article on the GW main site entitled "Incoming: Imperial Guard." It appears to have some information about the incoming Imperial Guard codex. That one picture of the rumored cover shows up again
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?community=&catId=cat180002&categoryId=400032&aId=14500025
Notable quotes:
"This new plastic box set makes five Imperial Guard, including an officer, medic and other specialists, and is packed with optional weapons and wargear that can be used with the rest of the range of Imperial Guard plastic miniatures." Five bodies in the command squad set.

"The box set includes a choice of two Cadian banner designs, suitable for Platoon or Company Standard Bearers." Platoon standards now legal, not just a noob mistake.

Confirms Officer of the Fleet, Astropath, and Master of Ordnance as regimental advisors, and shows miniatures. Also Primaris Psyker and Lord Commissar, not regimental advisors.

I need those Advisors. The Fleet Officer will make a great ship's Captain for a Dark Heresy scenario (defend against a boarding action) and the Astropath also makes a great Dark Heresy model.

All good, other than those fugly Ratlings.

Agreed on the ratlings. Ripped as (also ugly) Catachans and still strength 2.

Damn fine mini's.

I can confidently say some of thier best yet.

Dark Heresy, the upcoming Rogue Trader stuff, and How about some skirmish stuff to top it all off.

This stuff is screaming for a good Necromunda style skirmish system.

EDIT-My one prob(not really a prob but I have no better word)is that catachan with the sniper rifle, his head looks like the old IG cadian sergeants just a bit larger.

LOVE the advisors, the CL, and the Primaris. The 'Roid Ragin' Ratlin's. are a little ridiculous.

I'm hoping this means that the advisors are NOT direct sales only.

That's great, but I heard the blister was direct sales only. I'm really hoping that isn't the case.

the advisors look good. I'll definitely be picking them up, along with the ratlings and a box or 2 of the cadian command squads.

I would imagine that at least for the initial 'splash' release all the new stuff will be available in stores, and it'd be quietly suffled over to Direct only when the next big 'splash' comes down the pike. (Planetfall?)

I quite like the cover, it shows the hordeness of IG. Sweet, sweet gun line.

Those greatcoat legs are going to go for a pretty penny on the bitz sites. Stock up early for your own trades and sales. I don't remember seeing the new Cadian bald-ish head - not bad. But what's up with the Cadian kneeling and reading a book? I'm loving the new Catachan Command Squad, though - with the exception of the medic - he just kinda reminds me of an Ork Pain Boy. And while I hate Ratlings in concept and hate the existing line of Ratlings - I'm definitely buying some of these new guys just for the models. I totally dig 'em. The Officer of the Fleet will make a great Planetary Governor or somesuch, although I'm already planning to use my metal Cadian Commander from the box set as my Officer of the Fleet - maybe give him a nice peaked cap and I think he's set. Master of the Ordinance and Primaris Psyker are also totally solid. Looking good!

Just realised what was bugging me about the appearance of some of those models. They are more severely highlighted than normal. Makes ordinary details look grotesque. Compare the Cadian command squad promo pic to the Cadian troops box in the online store.

One of each special weapon I'm afraid. There's a bitz breakdown on Dakka somewhere.

Got to say, going on the models, they seem to have Guard nailed now. Just hope the rules work out as well as the models.

I am in love with all the new models. The bitz for the command squads will be amazing for kit bashing and the advisors will look great with my Inquisitor Lord (i.e. Guard Army Commander). So much pretty, so little cash!

I actually like the angry hobbit look of the snipers. They look like some of the town folk from the LOTR range.

It would be like GW to find a way to sell me minis to an army I don't play. Stupid Dark Heresy invading my imagination.

I think the ratlings are okay.

I am, however, buying the old ones now before they're all gone. (I have a squad of ratlings to match each of my regiments).

I doubt this, as we havent even seen the Wave 1 Sentinel yet! And we know it exists, because they had pictures of the weapon options, but the one photo an Open Day visitor took of the pics GW had out was crooked and of too low a quality to make out any real details from

The supply does not get to make the demands.
