So I have been out of the hobby for the last couple of months and wanted a fun project to get back in with.

I'm pretty much a Necromunda only player anymore and have always loved the idea of using vehicles in it so I thought I would take a shot at building a Biker gang.
I'm not 100% sure if I will acctually use them or not for an actual game but they should be a fun addittion to the necro collection.
As far as rules go, I have none and I am not looking for any. I will probably use some form of the Ash Wastes rules for motorcycle. But this is mainly a modeling only project because I seldom ever play.

So here is what I have so far. I put these guys together a couple nights ago and did't get many WIP shots.
They will be going on bases and have a few more bits and pieces added later along with being cleaned up quite a bit.

WIP Ganger #1 with stub gun/revolver. I will be adding a autogun slung on his back later.

WIP Ganger #2 with laspistol, shotgun, and bionic arm. Needs some final touches...

WIP Ganger #3: Here is more of a step-by-step for this one...I want to do a few female members in the gang so here is my first attempt...
I went with a little lighter framed motorcycle for this one...

Comparison shot with the big chopper style...

Using a Daemonette body for the rider.

After some cutting and greenstuffing...

And that is where I stand now. There will be more to come here in the next few days. Ganger#3 will be more complete by tomorrow night so stay tuned.

Thanks for looking.

Hey thanks for the words guys.

Here are a few quick updates.

A little greenstuff work to do...

And a little Autogun SMG. Made from a Tau rifle and some sprue. Huge Borderlands inspiration here haha.

Now she's pretty much done complete with retro Escher-style hair and stub-pistol.
I really want these guys to look shooty.

Everything still needs to be cleaned up and put on a base but they are coming along.
3 down with more on the way.

Thanks for looking.

Loving the bikes. They look like they may fit well with my Alcatran guard (Hive gangers and convicts along with arbites and security).

Great work. Been looking for a suitable HD lookalike bike model in 28mm.

Those bikes are fantastic. Where are you getting the wheels from? Or are they home made too?

Toss him some ideas if you think it needs something. Just saying it needs work is not constructive for him.

Thanks for the input guys!

@ endtransmission: I am raiding the wheels from some old model plane landing gear. They are a bit chunky looking but with the GW scale stuff they work fine.

@ FantasyBob: I agree with you 100%. That's why it's WIP

I should have some more up tonight. I've got about 3-4 more bikes in the works too so stay tuned!

if your going for a more realistic motorbike look, id make the front forks meet at the handle bars instead of being cut off in the middle

kinda like this

Oh man! I've been working on some mopeds for a kroot gang, but I've been having a lot of trouble putting the mopeds together. These look great. The gas tanks and seats are very cool, never mind how awesome the motors are. I'll be watching this thread, and stealing from it! }:~)

The above suggested fork could add a lot to the bikes. I know one way to pull that of is to use the plasticard rods you have on there, but drill and pin the top and use the pin as the top half of the fork... you can use GS or carve the plastic away to make the transition between the two smoother.

Like I said before, great work. I will be using your work as a grand resource for my Kroot Moped gang. Thanks.

Okay so another progress update.

In order to have a proper Necromunda gang you need a heavy weapon of somesort and a biker gang is no exception...

I finally got this thing done this morning so here are some shots of the build.

Starting to take shape... This guys pretty armored up. I wanted kindof a scrounged carapace armor look. Army of two style.

Passenger body...

After some greenstuff and a classic Heavy stubber they are pretty much done.

And the ballistic mask conversion that everyone does these days lol

Still more to come.

Thanks.

Very nice

Good work on the bikes, nice basic construction that has a lot of potential for variations. Some lovely weapons too. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on these guys and gals, and no doubt looting those bikes at some point in the future.

Keep it coming.

Here's another quick update. It's been a busy week.

This guy is again very Borderlands inspired. He has a little more agile looking bike and rocking a semi-auto stub gun for variety. I still need to give him a main gun but I will do that later.

I also got around to making a quick and dirty shotgun for the first ganger...

And a family shot of the gang so far.

Still working on two more bikes. One more ganger and the gang leader and then on to painting. Yay!

Also, for those interested in 28mm motorcycles for Guard or whatever, I ran accross these at my local store a couple days ago and thought they were pretty sweet.

Great use of parts! You managed to make all the models look like they were meant to be put together that way. Which can be hard to do with such diverse bits! Each model is so full of character and just calling out for a creative nickname on a gang roster.

this looks real awsome just one question what did you use for the armor on the balistic masked guy

Wow huge threadromancy here haha. I haven't been able to do anything 40k related in quite a few months thanks to a six day a week work schedule.
But I finally got the gang fully assembled and ready for paint over the hollidays.

So first things first I got a gun made for this guy. Just a quick and easy SMG looking thing...

And made another ganger... She looks a bit more AshWastes style than the rest but that's cool.

With a Borderlands style revolver sniper rifle...

And last but not least the Gang Leader. Totally ripped off from GTA ChinaTown Wars lol.

Aviators, FuManChu, mohawk, sawed off shotgun, and roided out of his mind...

And a quick group shot of everything based...

So yeah that's about it. I have a few days off coming up so hopefully I can get these guys painted soon.

Thanks for looking and happy new year

Haha yeah thanks man. Steal all the ideas you want.
As for the armor piece im not really sure what it was. I think it was an Ork nob shoulder pad.

Some amazing work, love the bikes, and the leader has just the right look IMO. I'd consider adding a few more rivets here and there though, to add a layer of realism.
