Thread inspired by Where Do You Shop? and I researched this before posting. From what I found, no one has done this thread in 5 months. In Dakka time that's like 300 years. So, that said... where do you game?

Same here. I have a full-time game table in the same room I do my painting /modeling. My wife is pretty awesome like that.

Private club.

We have our own terrain, tables and even have beer available.
We run our own tournaments (Battle in the Vines (40k) and Thunderstomp (WHFB)) and these events still include the beer being available.
We are open to new members (and we even accept lapsed members back into our ranks).

No pressure from "buy where you play" - we aren't a shop.
We don't even care if you want to play 40kays with non-GW models.

Or even FoW with non-battlefront models (because 15mm WW2 is soooooo uncommon anyway).

We play at home on the floor using the conveniently size mat that just happens to be big enough for a game... doesn't sound that great, but oddly enough we're starting to get more and more people playing here with us XD

Still need to make a proper table, though

Edit: ROFL sniped by my girlfriend XD

I game about bi-weekly with my club. Here's the breakdown of where we meet to game.

My FLGS. Chicagoland Games: Dice Dojo.
80% of the time. They've got plenty of nice tables, reasonalby good terrain and are fairly well located by virtue of geography or Public Transit for most members.

My Home.
10% Not as conveniently located, but fairly central, and I have a 4x7 table with good terrain.

Other member's homes.
5% From time to time, especially for smaller games it's a nice change of pace. Even though most of them don't have a full game table, we all have terrain, and many of our games don't require much space.

5% Other FGS, Games Plus
It ain't local, but they're friendly, with plenty of gaming space and more miniatures than I've ever seein in a single store.

Its rare that we'll play at a GW or FLGS!

Home, and my FLGS, my local GW I hate, due to the abundance of TFG's, one appears to be deaf so shouts continuously, one is the manager who goes into a massive nerd rage when I asked if he knew why they switched to resin, and also put the price up. At my local GW, if they know you even so much as play another game that isn't GW, even if you never mention it in the store, you get treated differently by the fanboys and staff. I really should no have just written that rant....

But yeah, FLGS, and home, usually home though as there is a small fee at my FLGS.

From England. Living in Shanghai

2 choices of FLGS for me. One is 15 mins by foot, the other 15 mins by taxi (which over here is ridiculously cheap. About 2 pounds for the taxi ride). Same goes for my mates so we just arrange a day and place then head off.

We do have a GW at a reasonable distance as well but we don't really like to go there. Playing games on a table with hardly any terrain and being told to pack up if they need an intro game isn't worth the hassle.
