Putting the obvious political bias aside, it seems to me that Fox news is very big on personalities and frothing opinion pieces from the likes of Glenn Beck rather than actual news reporting. Our news reporters don't shout at the audience for a start, the performances of some Fox News people are bizarre from a UK perspective.

He's just an example though, he worked there for many years. There's also Bill O'Reilly who can come across as a headcase.

Some of the Fox news material that has been shown in the UK, admittedly cherry picked for the best bits, is like a mad house. BBC and ITV news just isn't like that.

Look, Fox is fair and balanced, they tell us this "fact" every day. Really, I do feel like I have lost about 30 IQ points every time I watch any kind of political/world news related story.

Not overly fimiliar with BBC and ITV. I did watch some of it while deployed but didn't really kicked in since I was moving through. BBC on demand though now that I'm home is at my finger tips. I'm hooked on White Chapel and title escapes me now but the one dealing with a mental asylum where the guy is psychic

I'm sure that every news organization considers itself fair and balance. The 30 point loss is it from just Fox news or from any news source?

I really think it is from american news, I like reading BBC though. Heck, I wouldn't even know if they are polically slanted there being that I'm not exposed to their politics.

One of the questions was most likely to be answered correctly by watching the Daily Show. I'm also looking at the news outlets carrying this story they seem familiar somehow...

This study confuses causation with correlation. There is no evidence that it's not simply that pre-existing ignorant people preferring Fox News. Note I'm using "ignorant" in the literal sense, and not as a substitution for "stupid".

Along with CBS, CNN, ABC, and whatever mainline news agency there are. Its a rating base. Maintain or gain a higher rating. So they're going to be influence by the people that they need the rating from. They all fail quite spectacularly. I want to point out though...the Fox channel has better eye candy

They all fail impressively at this point, but fox news is a special network for special people. It gets the gold medal in every category.

Like I said. Its the #1 news source. So yes they're going to draw a lot of flak. Doesn't matter who's number one its going to be the same. Example be the republican candidates. Course since I brought up the candidates the thread going to be really skewered now
