Alrighty then. Since most of the advocating been towards OWS is center around students. I will say being a student does not exempt them from the laws. Keyword is laws. The "student or students" are adults. Over the age of 18 and as an adult then its your responsibility to follow the laws. As an adult you should know right from wrong. As an adult you are responsible for your actions. As an adult you are aware of what could happen if one goes against the authority.

Give me one good solid reason why OWS students are hands off and exempt free from breaking laws? They were protesting is not good reason if they are breaking laws/ordinance

I never said anyone should be exempt from the laws. I only said that those who advocate violence towards the protesters should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

In fact, I believe that threatening violence against someone is usually against the law.

I've no shame nor compassion for anyone willingly breaking the laws and defying a law official. They're an adult that made a grown up decision. If OWS gets out of hand then they reap the hurt upon themselves. Since its on DakkaDakka post some remarks that we made advocating the use of force on a protest within the law.

Blocking a public path is against an ordinance/law. They refuse the orders to move from law enforcement (who were told by the chancellor for them to be removed last I heard). Pepper spray is a non violent non lethal tool. Not a weapon

But...that doesn't mean that Shuma was accusing Jake of threatening him...it two separate elements.
For example if I said " Between almost getting hit by the car AND the crowds at the store...I regret going shopping."...the crowds aren't the car...and the car isn't the crowds.
It would be two different elements that both caused frustration....but were not related.

Whether it was Auschwitz, Buchenwald, or a sub-camp of Buchenwald doesn't matter. The point of the story was to talk about how his great uncle struggled to deal with post-traumatic stress, and the lack of support back home, and how we've gotten much better at dealing with that stuff since.

The pedantic streak that makes people say 'ah no, it was actually some other camp' is annoying, but kind of understandable when it's applied equally. But it clearly isn't applied equally, given FOX's very slipshod interest in accuracy, and especially given how they dealt with O'Reilly own WWII screw up.

It's almost as if, like, they change whatever is important from day to day, in order to complain about the Democrats. And that makes for a really, really gakky news station.

Other news agencies may lie at times, but rarely does one see the sort of slanted yellow journalism Fox engages in with the same amount of frequency or zeal anywhere else.

But that isn't true. Read the numerous examples of outright lies told by FOX in this thread, and try to find another station with anywhere near as many lies. Tell me of another station that issues a directive from senior management dictating how news staff are to handle the political issues of the day. Tell me of another station that has directly aligned itself with a news service in the way that

FOX news is targetted because they really do operate on a fundamentally different level to other news stations.
