It looks very interesting, and quite fun.

I love the cartoonly look of it, but it seems bit steep price wise for a counters game.

I might check it out when it's on general release.

Agreed!

I think the price point to 'get everything' is £90 + £20 shipping.

I am sorely tempted though...

I wonder if this is what they worked on before. When I saw the cards, it was the first thing that sprang to mind.

I played the Demo of that, it was ok, but nothing beats the original Panzer/Allied/Pacific general games from the mid/late 90's. Some of the scenarios on those games where insanely difficult!

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Damn that reminds me of a strange ww2 game my mate had twenty years ago. Using little thin plastic pieces, that stuck to the board as you played.

Looks nice, my only thought is I hope they have resolved any potential IP issues, I'm sure someone owns the rights to the films.

They'll probably be OK, but you did make me go back and see what you were talking about and...

I love the art but I'm having trouble reconciling the price. With shipping built in, it's going to run someone in the US nearly $170. That seems awfully high, especially when seemingly comparable wargames like Conflict of Heroes retail for $80 and can be had online for under $60.

Yeah, that's true. When you consider I can buy Memoir 44 or Tide of Iron for less than this it's difficult to justify. But I must admit that I do love that artwork, reminds me allot of the Zombicide artwork.

OK, you two just made me look all of those up!

Conflict of Heroes, Memoir 44 and Tide of Iron look pretty good, but Heroes of Normandie has a rather distinct art style that is rather appealing.

However, as already mentioned, the buy in is quite steep.

Of course the art is great. It's French . Asmodee, Guillotine Games, Dust Games. All French or Spanish. All great art.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

So am i right in thinking if i do the £45 pledge i still get access to like the cthulhu stuff if its unlocked? (never pledged before but this actually looks worth it to me)

Yep. At the £45 level you would get the cthulhu expansion for free, along with all of the previous stretch goals, which nearly doubles the size of the box

Ouch... this looks great, and seems fun, but the price.... I was briefly in at what amounted to the "complete" $170 USD level, before snapping out of it and realizing the volume of high quality plastics I could buy for the box of card-board chits. Sadly, like Ogre Designer's Edition, I can't justify miniatures game prices for boxes of chip-board.

I hear you on that, but I'm still wavering on this one... and am mightily tempted to go all in...

At half the price I would be all over this but, as others have said, this is almost mini prices for cardboard. Shame really as its pretty tempting espeially the Cthulhu expansion. The price of the planned addons (3 x £20) is also very high just for tiles and a scenery book (unless I missed something?).

I'm in on this as the artwork appeals, as others have said the price is a little on the high side but I got my bonus and what little isn't spent on 'life' stuff I've put into this.

Today they announced another crossover as a future stretch goal... this time they are planning a Dust Tactics set as a free addition once the campaign reaches a certain point.

So far all they have said is that it will include plenty of iconic DT universe walkers, troops and heroes as well as some new characters that they have created for the DT universe.

Mmmmm Dust Vs Mythos anyone?

Well, this one has been funded. We now have 30 days to double the takings so we can play with British forces, Dust forces and Cthulhu beasties

The beach assault goal (3 double sided tiles, buildings and extra squads) has been unlocked and added to all pledges over £45 and we're on our way towards the next set of free tiles.

In addition to this, Modiphius and Devil Pig Games have also announced a full blown Achtung! Cthulhu expansion that includes lots of neat looking stuff.

CL VI Store in at the Cyber Center of Excellence

It is an expensive buy in (especially for us stateside folks, but I'm in. I figure I really like the art and game concept, the 'weird war' additional content is cool, and it will be a lot easier for me to get to set up and play this compared to my 15mm WW2 stuff which is currently in storage. I am betting my dollars for fun ratio will make this a worth while purchase.

I just hope they can attract enough pledges that we get a bunch of the stretch goals.
