Hello everyone, welcome to the public vote for the League of Extraordinary Riveters Terrain Contest Round 31: "A Drink to the New Decade".

This vote is open to all with one vote allowed per person. Please take your time to examine the excellent work all 3 of our contestants put into their projects over the last 3 months, and decide the winner. The subject of this contest round, "A Drink to the New Decade", tasked the contestants with constructing a terrain piece using materials from beverage containers.

Throw in your vote, tell your friends to vote. You could even tell strangers to vote if you're feeling particularly saucy. More votes means better results for the contestants, so please voice your opinion.

And with that, here are the entries:

Syro_
Spoiler:
Syro_'s starting material was a Ganten Mineral Water bottle and incorporated interior illumination.

Lit up

Captain Brown
Spoiler:
Captain Brown's starting materials were 2 Gatorade bottles, and incorporated lighting effects.

MacPhail
Spoiler:
MacPhail's starting materials were the lids of Tropicana juice containers.

Wow, the two of you are really making it hard to vote, I'm going to have to think on this for a while and vote later. Both of you, Captain Brown and MacPhail, did incredible work.

It’s a close call - I had to let the rivets decide .

I've never thrown out one of those Tropicana lids, for the exact same reason. Just haven't drank enough juice to put them to use.

Some creative use of trash, even when combined with a healthy dose of official bits. Couldn't decide which I wanted to weigh more heavily - the complexity of overall design and the artful blending of scrap and bought elements or the purity of design that really highlighted the found materials. Could easily argue either one, but I eventually settled on one as being more in keeping with the theme of the competition. I dithered for a while before casting my vote.

Nice work, everyone.

Hi Villoy. The winner of each round decides the theme and timing of the next. They'll start a new thread here, and usually announce it on the old thread.
