Oh my sweet Lord in Heaven! In the words of Ellie Arroway "I had no idea!"

Simply stunning. In the true sense of the word. I am so so inspired now.

Thank you for sharing these outstanding images. And congratulations on a truly remarkable achievement.

I am currently sitting down at my desk pondering on what I could possibly say to describe that army.

The truth is, I have no idea what to say! Having watched this army progress from a little task force to a... Really big army, I have to say that you have done nothing but improve on what was a great standard to begin with.

Firstly, thank you for proving that you can never have to many marines.

Also I am obliged to bestow the prestigious title of Mr. Spacemarine to you, it is well deserved!

Any plans to pick up some of the FW pre-heresy stuff? I would love to see what you could do with them!

A severely mind blown dakkite,

Cain

Duuuuuuuoooooooooode. Pretty much speechless.

Just picking my jaw up, that has got to be the most impressive army ever. Impressive not only due to the scale but also that every mini is painted to a great standard.

I'm sure you must have been asked before, but how long do you think this has taken you to accumulate?

The only thing to say is this... And I say this with no harshness in my words or thoughts.

But dang man, you need to learn how to play this game like right now. It's a glorious and sad sight all at once. Glorious because the models are amazing, but sad because they'll never see the table and taste the blood of their enemies.

Hello! Long-time Lurker, first-time poster here. I've loved Blood Angels since I said "I want to be those red guys" the first time my buddy opened his Space Crusade board game and this thread is so full of win I had to say something about it. I haven't messed with a mini since early 2000 but after seeing this thread I'm planning on digging out my old models and starting anew. So I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for inspiring me to get back into 40k. I'm sure my first few paintjobs will be atrocious but there's a Dollar General nearby I can load up on LA's Totally Awesome and keep at it. Absolutely beautiful work, thank's again for sharing this.

That's a hell of an achievement eggy!
It depresses me badly that I have about an equal size set of BA minis and only about 15% of it done!
As always you are an inspiration and also a depressingly daunting digital kick in the ass lol

Thanks MajorTom. Don't feel bad about your BA minis, you'll have tons of time to finish them. Your Mini-Tom achievement is much greater than any painted army

MajorTom11 wrote:BTW eggs, you need to submit that gak to GW -

Just uploaded some pics to the GW flickr pool. Now to see if they approve it and notice...

Commander Cain wrote:

Thanks Cain. I do have some FW PH stuff, mostly weapons and the assault marines with jump packs. I'm not sure if I'm ready to jump right in to FW PH stuff since that would mean I have a lot more models to collect and paint. At this point, I just want to finish off my BA models and move onto another another. On the other hand, I'm going to be in the UK in a little over a month and will drop by Warhammer World for my birthday. Might pick up some FW models then so anything is possible.

Thanks Hits! I've been painting and collecting this army since August of 2010 I think. Coming up to 2 years now...probably another year before I'm all done with all the models I have

Thanks Alf. I doubt I'll ever get into the game. Not much time at the moment and I'm not too keen to get into the gaming scene. Plus, I'd be too nervous to game with these models, most haven't been varnished. Even if I do get into the game mechanics, I'd be sweating bullets everytime I have to move them or god forbid I get a greasy fingered opponent.

Thanks PandaSandwich. Always makes me happy when I hear I've inspired another person to get into or get back into the hobby. Once you get some progress be sure to post some pics, Dakka is a great and supportive community.

What an amazing display and a pure display of dedication your army is turning out to be!

It is Inspirational (capital "I" on purpose) both as in awe and motivation.

Keep up the great painting progress but most of all, thanks for taking the time to arrange the display and sharing the pictures that resulted.

It was only the other day i was trying to describe to a friend the style of painting i was aspiring to achieve on own army!!! Amazing dude!!!
