Zombies are top notch. Puppet wars has some really great models, I have heard they have straightened out their quality from the earlier days of their business model.

Monkey is pretty spiffy too .

Thanks Theophony ! I've been buying Puppetswar bits for a couple of years, the older stuff was often a bit crappy, their new stuff is really good and I think they have some really cool models / bits.

Got two of Little H’s figures done today, a counts as Inquisitor and the Wolf fella from the wolf sleigh cart thingy, he’s magnetised in the feet so he can stand on an infantry base or the sleigh of Doom.

Thanks Doc, I kinda have a plan to finish the Sleigh (or Slay) of Doom at some point “this month”

So I finally got home and can sit doing some hobby with the now strangely large Little H
The following two had been started then left by little H on a dark shelf as he ran out of enthusiasm, finished off by me.
Let’s hear what you guys think !

Like the colour scheme he chose for the wolfrider. Is the wolf his work too? Good naturalistic range of colours on him.

The big old space Vikings you finished off for him are nice, solid feel to them which is suitable for these guys.

Really like that green patina power color you do- the lightning claws, the power swords- very different, very eye-catching and very well done!

Hi monkeytroll ! Yes the large wolf rider is all Little H, I gave him tuition as he went but it’s all his, looks ok I reckon !

Meer_Cat wrote:Really like that green patina power color you do- the lightning claws, the power swords- very different, very eye-catching and very well done!

That’s MeerCat ! It’s really simple and quick so Little H doesn’t have to do endless highlights, simply base the area to glow white and allow to thoroughly dry, then mix a little dark blue into Tamiya Clear Green, thin it down quite a lot and apply like a wash. This is usually enough for my teenage lad ! Simples !

Today I mostly did riveting , it’s not as interesting as it sounds. These Space Hulk Zoneamunda boards have been going on forever and it felt good to get a bit done. It was made easier with the half round nail art beads that GLUE WITH NORMAL PLASTIC GLUE ! It’s So so simple not having to mess with cyanoacrylate.
I got the eBay link from off Dakka if I could only remember where

With Little H’s new interest in KillTeam and Necromunda , I kinda remembered a whole load of stuff I started years ago for Space Zone Hulk Mortallis. So this week I insisted on digging out the cupboard under the stairs, and quite frankly “found “ a ton of not finished stuff !
So I set to, and left a note on the door, “Gone Rivetting”

Still WIP but a lot closer to getting primed.
Still to Do: The blue tubes will get gantries on them once I get some paint in the nooks and crannies, a little Control station with some screens and buttons on a desk where the figures are stood and a Gakton of wire and pipes and then it’s to paint!

Thanks for stopping by !

Nicely done, Big H! Really like the engineering spaces. I've got some of those Tehnolog/Robogear panels floating around somewhere too- and have always wanted to do some proper Space Hulk tile sections. I think if I combine the panels with the Hirst Arts castings, I might can get some done- thanks for the jolt!

Hopefully yes he will, then I can finish my own projects, turn him to the dark side and smash his DeathStar !!
Thanks for commenting Nerdy

So , I’m now really close to this slogathon being done. Weathering done just some details now and I’m calling it a day.
Quick Dakka Poll: on a Space Hulk/ Zone Mortalis / Necromunda board, should it still have power for glowing lenses , lamps etc or just be stone cold and dead ?
Let’s hear it Dakka, painting them tomorrow !
