When/if the kickstarter starts, we should indeed take all discussion on the kickstarter in that new thread. So would be nice if anyone else could start it.

Well, RH has an account here and they'd be well positioned to post updates to their thread.

Crap, now its actually happening, maybe.

I 'had' money for this but now I will have to wait and see what scraps I can grab at the end.

You mean, like they did this year and the last? Don't count on it.

We will see how this will go, it cannot go (far) worse than other kickstarter delays.

Excited to see what it will have and how it will be run.

Unlikely to happen, though.

The Special Herald is responsible for that^^

I can't see why it shouldn't start now (well, on the 4th), since they learned and didn't tell another date they didn't reach in the end. Kickstarter approval is there, so there is nothing really to stop them now.

Did Brook get the "Special Herald" thing in the end? They never got back to me..

If he did, then he's 'nominated' to start and maintain the RH KS thread here!

Where I come from, that's "Voluntold."

I want to invest in this, but it feels risky (risque?). We'll see what they are promising.

So far, they are only promising a start on June 4th. Maybe that's all they can promise.

Was it Azazelx earlier who said that we'd basically invest in Raging Heroes and be rewarded with a slow trickle of miniatures for the next 10 years?

So roughly the same speed as sedition wars and relic knights kickstarters then.

The difference being that for SW and Relic Knights the delays were unforeseen. For RH it's par for the course.

I got jack gak. Either the whole "special herald" thing is..

A) A lie
B) Something they forgot about
C) Will send out a few minutes before going live
D) I've been too critical with my feedback and gotten myself blacklisted

Can I have a "get them off my back" card to keep donkey-caves off my back for when I go to sleep and heaven forbid any new, precious updates aren't up yet?

Anyway, I've prepped a first post, I'll post it on Monday lest we kick things off too soon.

I just received mail of being accepted as a Herald, so I will make a thread and maintain it and yeah, this thread too. Would be only weird, if I am not the only one here now. So Brook, did you got the promotion too?

Congrats, Wolfstark. I'm sure you'll be a better Herald than I would, as you've already been updating this thread by chasing up their updates on facebook or their blog or wherever scattered places they post - and you've certainly very active in this thread.

I just got my rejection letter, literally 5 minutes ago.
It included this line:

Furthermore, we didn't want some forums to be flooded by info shared by too many Heralds for the same forums.

Given the speed of their communication, it's probably a good thing, though.

I guess we'll find out about Brook when they get back on.

As recommended by Yakface, we are creating a new thread about our about-to-launch Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Kickstarter.

But before we do, we wanted to address a recurring topic of this present thread: Weren't we supposed to launch in February?

Yes, that was our first announcement. Many things happened since, and the project is now very different from what it was back then.
For those concerned about the change in our schedule, here's a brief summary, in case you missed it in our blog posts.

This Kickstarter was originally planned to be a smaller project when we first started talking about it. However, setting up a Kickstarter as a non-US company was no walk in the park to ensure we would comply with all Kickstarter, Amazon, banking and other taxes obligations, and took longer than expected.
And so, we used the waiting time to further develop our project and bring it to a whole new level.

The other thing is that, as you probably witnessed, many other Kickstarters ran into delays due to production and casting issues. To make sure we would not succomb to the same problems and have you be the unfortunate victims of that, we decided that since we were late because of the administrative issues, there was not point in rushing to launch, and that we would use this extra time to polish our production workflow. We'd already been working with our suppliers for six months to make sure that things go smoothly, but we went back to the drawing board and went deeper into the questions related to casting, packaging and shipping to make things better.

We also had to take into account the fact that many large Kickstarters had completely filled up many foundries' production schedules! And so, there was not much point in launching before their schedule had begun to clear, especially since the TGG project was growing in scope.

And so, we did not set a launch date until we were fully confident that we could deliver on what we promise, and also avoid having you wait too long for your delivery. That is also why we came up with the dropship programme, which will allow us to release our Kickstarted minis in several waves, for those who are interested.

We look forward to continuing the conversation on the new thread!

This one used to be the news/new releases thread.

Might be worth having a new news/new releases thread, post-KS, though.

We'll go ahead and lock this thread for now.

Post-kickstarter, if Raging Heroes needs a general news & rumors discussion thread please PM a moderator to open this thread back up or we could even just start a new fresh one at that point.
