As promised, here are new images of Kapitan Ivanka showcasing the alternate sword.
Oh, by the way, Ivanka is currently crossing the Channel on her way to the foundry...

I doubt I'd ever buy that figure (for a couple of reasons!), but that new sword is a vast improvement over the old one.

Nice model, but the pose is awful. Best thing to do with this model is replace the gun with a pole, and greenstuff dollar bills into her belt and boots.

I could totally see buying that to mod as a Sorscha for Warmachines.

Alternate sword looks much better imo. Draws the focus back onto her instead of a giant gun-sword.

Ivanka longer skirt is great.

I'm not usually a fan of silly poses and kit like this, but I must have this one!

I can see me trying a paint job with disco lighting reflecting off her clothing and weapons!

Definitely like the more normal sword better than the gunblade.

I think I've found my second RT character should the first one die.

My first thought was "Wow, my wife would kill for a pair of boots like that."

I like her pose, it looks like she just took a high point on uneven terrain and fired off a couple rounds to get her infantry's attention. She also fits very well into the RH dramatic styling and posing.

I personally liked the big sword's general look but the gun part. I hope there are a few more options for sword arms but I am don't going to hold my breath.
Over all a nice model and it should be interesting to see what else they come out with.

I want 2 of those.

That sculpts losing the weapons, anyway, so they didn't really matter to me.

The commisar looks good, but I'm more interested in what looks like Sci-fi Asharah, and also a Klaive-like weapon in the bottom left of the teaser.

Hoping for sci-fi retinue like the original too.

i definately want the kaptain, i shall use it as a commisar , looks much better than GW's Commisar.

The new sword looks much, much better than the original. The gunblade might not have looked out of place on a power armored figure, but on Ivanka it just dominated the figure and drew most of the attention to one particular (and particularly silly) bit.

Like I said before, she's a fantastic model and I'll definitely be picking her up, though I don't think that I'll use her as a Commissar. The GW Chickassar model gets enough hate from 40k players as it is; trying to use the world's most kick ass gogo dancer in my army probably wouldn't go over well at all.

Liking the Commissar Raege, might buy it just to paint up.

She looks very warmachine Khador to me, far more so than GW IG commissar.

Also, the sword is much better than the gun/sword...that thing is just too much.

Kapitän Ivanka sure gives me a raging hero. Definite buy!

One question I have is if the scabbard will be redesigned to match the new sword. It looks like she still has the 'Buster Sword' style scabbard from the ol' gun blade.

Very nice model, though she looks like a female Chaos Marine to me. Which means now I'm wondering what Fabius Bile is *really* doing to those blokes in the Eye of Terror...
