It doesn't matter AFAIK, I guess i'm just too badass to need aid.

Okay so I totally had a blast playing this game tonight. I had just finished a six pack of beer when I met this guy named Sam in a bar in Riften. I had a pretty good buzz, so the drinking game proposed by the NPC Sam sounded pretty cool. After I won, my character blacked out and my character sort of had a morning like what was in the movie "The Hangover". I was in a all girl temple and I was accused of drinking their wine and fondling their statues... I had to clean up my mess which oddly contained a severed Giant's toe. I asked the priestess about the temple and she said the elder women were in prayer or something. So I lock picked their inner sanctum and then I was caught when I busted in on their little prayer meeting. I was told to fetch some girl who has a connection to their goddess as an alternative to a death penalty.

I will not spoil it all, but I must confess, this quest seemed really cool since I was actually drinking myself...

More when I actually lose my buzz and finish the quest.

I have two words of the Disarm shout unlocked, but nothing with weapons can hurt me, so I've never used it.

Possible Use: Find a bunch of bandits in a ruin, disarm them repeatedly until they're unarmed, and let them beat on your for armor / block / restoration / alteration skill.

Armor skill experience is based on how much damage you get, so that's not useful at all

I am kinda hurt they didn't take the best part of F:NV and add it to Skyrim.

Hardcore Mode.

I loved having to eat and sleep on a fairly regular basis. Sure I can do it in skyrim (and do), but it's harder to keep track of, so my character eats at 6am noon and 6pm to keep things simple, goes to bed (if near a bed) at 10 (after an hour of talking in the pub if in a city) wakes up at 4:30, brisk jog and light spellcasting exercises in the city(spell casting outside city walls to not hit NPCs) and eats at 6AM.

When I have to travel, I take about a weeks worth of food with me and ample amounts of drink.

What I eat is based on what I can afford after potions, new armor, and Magic training (because Restoration still sucks to level. >.< )

How on Earth can you combine potions with your weapon?
I get a "weapon must be equiped" popup when I try but its clearly equiped and in my hands.
Im trying to apply frostspider venom to a one handed mace.
Wut me do wrong?

Hardcore mode is a great idea for the game btw.

No clue, never used any.

I'm pissed about something though, be it bug or not. The elemental fury shout (raises attack speed) doesn't work with enchanted weapons, what's that about?

Forged me Deadric mace and war axe though. Now it's time to raise enchanting to 100%, so I can get maximum smithing bonus on my smithing gear and buy some smithing potions, and then create the fattest armor and weapons possible.

My current dragonplate armor has 200ish armor rating.

I have been told the Daedric Weapons are pretty awesome. I was pretty upset that there were no Dragon Weapons when I got there. Is it worth it to get Daedric and Dragon? I went on the left path with Elven and it seems that I cant pick up Daedric without going down the right side with Dwarven and all of those.....

Wow. Never played Oblivion, but Dang, Skyrim is a blast!

Lost my self in making armor for about 3 hours and laughed at my self for "working" in a game and not realizing it.

I have beaten 4 dragons and, not including the first one, I have had something / someone fighting me at the same time. Saber cat, a bear and an assassin. <- yes I ticked someone off, can you ever find out who? Just asking.

Gotta Say it again, I'm loving this game. Only lvl 14 and I just came off the mount after talking with the monks.

Question, why am I always "not looking well"? How can you tell you have been posioned?

Not sure if anyone posted, but these made me lol.

For poisoning you can try opening your active spells under the magic menu. Might show any current afflications you have.
Thats a guess btw.

I think there's a bug where it only recognises an equipped weapon for poison purposes if it's in a certain hand (the right IIRC). Try switching hands.

The quest with Sam and the drinking game ends with a really nice reward, it's a long one but it's fun.

Sometimes if people are telling you that you look sick it might just mean that you haven't slept in weeks.

And for poisoning weapons, you should just need to equip it, then select the poison you want to apply. I do a lot of alchemy but I rarely use my poisons just because I hate having to open up the menu every time, and I rarely notice any kind of difference in how the fight went if I poison my weapons or not. So now I just make em and sell em. I prefer enchanting actually, then at least you can see people catch on fire when you hit em.

Well, left side is light armor, right side is heavy. Dragon can be made as scale and plate, so both light and heavy.

It's lighter then deadric armor with similar stats for the heavy, wouldn't know about the light variant.

The weapons are awesome, my mace does 65 and my axe 63 right now (with lvl 5 one handed perk giving me +100%)

hmm.. now I'm wondering about smithing... I thought dragon stuff was just for heavy armor. Is dragon armor the bestest you can get? Or are there other things in the game that's better, that you can find as loot or on quests? I really don't want to dump the perks into smithing because I feel like I need them for my regular fighting skills. But I have a whole lot of dragon bone bitz in my house that I've been saving... And also as a sneaky type I've been just using a mix of the theives guild and dark brotherhood armors and it's been working well enough for now

IMO smithing only works if you go full on crafting.

Right now I'm maxing out enchanting so I can get a full set of +% enchanting, with those, I'll enchant a full set of +% better items from smithing, drink a potion of +% smithing, and then make the bestest armor and weapons ever. And then switch back to enchant gear to maximize damage boosts on said items. I wanna see if I can get too 1000 armor without even using a shield.

Smithing is a good skill for early play though, I was running around in full Orc gear before level 10. No way of getting it that early otherwise, same for weapons.

Any tips on gold accumulation.
My horse died and I blew god knows how much on silly weapons and skill ups.
Any ingame psuedo economy that can be exploited?
Like is it worth cooking/crafting and then selling back to vendors or do the mats costs prohibit this?

enchanting expensive items with gakky gems seems to work for me, also the way to go for leveling up enchanting.

I make some decent cash selling potions, just harvest everything you can and keep all your ingredients, make potions with em and then sell them to the shop keepers. And also being a rogue type I'll steal anything of value that isn't nailed down and pickpocket almost everyone I meet before I say hello. You can steal stuff from shop keepers, then turn around and sell it back to them

Also the dark brotherhood and the thieves guild quests all pay pretty good.

Coastal Bliss in the Shadow of Sizewell

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Found my wife.. she was right where I left her. Well ish, seems she bugged when we got married, I saw her walk out of the temple and vanish, assumed she walked home.
Going back a couple of days later, she was waiting by the door inside of the temple with the 'do we live at your place or mine?' question.

On a side note, I truly love the generator for encounters, had some classics so far, one of my faves was as I was giving a guy bak his gloves a rogue knicked off him, three bandits where coming along, and one of them backstabbed him in front of me. So after sorting them out, I got the item and a load of stuff.
Also of the five Dragons I've killed so far, all have turned up while I was surrounded by potential allies. Three times at the Mages school (although bizarrely on the last fight two mages in the courtyard ignored it, even after getting hit, just ran about, so had to kill that one myself.)
The other times was the first one with Guards at Whitehold, and one attacked me at the Gates of Riften, when the Kahjit caravan was there, so all of them, two guards and I burned it down fast.

Level twelve now, really glad I got this last minute, best game I've played this year.

On a final note, have people noticed if a companion dies, and you take their house key, the game seems to count the house as yours. None of the stuff in the house has a steal tag on it, and the bed is sleepable.

Make enough iron daggers and you can learn to work Daedric magic into Ebony to form a suit of armor.
