I can think of a lot of NFL QBs that have sucked. Flacco doesn't come even close to making the list.

Hopefully with how good the patriots defense has been they can win a slow close game. I definately think they're equipped this year more than just about any other in the past decade to win in the post-season.

However you listen to Suggs already in press conferences, it's pretty clear the Ravens are coming to win and it's gonna be afight. The calmness and confidence is there for sure. While it's gonna be stressful to watch the games are always action packed and I expect no difference here.

Joe Flacco still sucks and the Patriots have the best Defense they've had since 2007 when the team went 16-0.

Since when did Flacco suck?

Since he got that fat contract

There's no bias at all in the fact that I'm from Cincinnati, either.

But in all seriousness, I still don't think he's a top 15 QB.

His Career QBR is hovering around 55. That's not any good.

I apologize in advance for the cut and paste but for the Flacco uninitiated its seems appropriate.

With Flacco as Baltimore's starting quarterback, the Ravens have won the AFC North twice, appeared in three AFC Championship Games, and defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Flacco was named Super Bowl XLVII's MVP, concluding a postseason run in which he tied Joe Montana's single postseason record for touchdown passes (11) without an interception.

NFL records

Here is a list of active NFL QBs I'd rather have than Joe Flacco, in no particular order:

Peyton Manning
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Russell Wilson
Ben Roethlesberger (and I hate him)
Tony Romo
Eli Manning
Cam Newton (and I hate him)
Matt Ryan
Philip Rivers
Andrew Luck

Here's a list I'd consider because they're all younger than Flacco:

Teddy Bridgewater
Ryan Tannehill
Matthew Stafford
Colin Kaepernick (begrudgingly)

Here's a list of recently retired QBs I'd take over him:

Brett Favre

Additionally, note Andy Dalton is nowhere on this list. He's terrible. I hate the he's the QB of the horrible team I cheer for and has a horrible contract that is all Flacco's horrible contract's fault.

I would agree all those QBs are better than Andy Dalton and I'll accept you should have a natural adherence to Flacco. I can respect that.

I counted 7 SB MVPs in your active list. Flacco's in good company.

And i'd argue for flacco over rivers, romo, Eli, Big Ben, and cam newton. The rest I more or less agree.

Eli Manning I wouldn't want him, unless I'm specifically in a playoff situation, since, ironically, the dude kinda sucks in regular season, but is able to flip a swtich and seemingly beat anyone in the playoffs

Matt Ryan lol...... just.... lol. He's seriously the WORST QB in NFL Playoffs history, statistically speaking
Andrew Luck

Sorta fixed the list for you

So the mueller report got published, and as expected there is no "evidence" the NFL received a tape or confirmed receipt. But Hey at least they admitted their was a deficiency in action sort of?!?

28 hours! While having a bye is obviously great for the team. Playoff bye weeks suck butt.

What's the feeling like down in ratbird country byte? Up here everyone is fairly nervous but understands if the pats can't beat the 6 seed at home they weren't winning the Super Bowl anyways. I'm fairly confident this will go the pats way and the more I think about it the more glad I am weee going to be tested this week.

Aye, should be a great game. Ravens always like the hard way so everything is perfect. Of course its going to take "shock the world" effort. Like it always is for the Ravens. lol!

Haha yah. It's gonna be about 15degrees at kickoff. I get to help build a barn from 9:30-whenever in 19 degree high temps then get some wings and relax for the game. Soo pumped.

Secondary thought. Everytime I see Aaron Rodgers highlights I'm shocked at his arm strength/ease of throwing motion... I've seen him play a couple dozen times or so." And more with highlight video and it gets me everytime.

I'd possibly have an issue with Eli and Cam, but otherwise yeah...I'd take all those guys over Flacco. You can talk about number of wins, etc., but that's a team stat and the Ravens do a good job of NOT putting too much on Flacco. There are reasons why the offense he runs is so simplistic. Put him on a team without a good defense and running game, and it'd get ugly.

Cripes, look at his completion percentage...he's barely a 60% passer for his career and had three straight seasons sub-60. You can say that's because he's throwing more deep passes, but that isn't really supported by his YPA, which was a pedestrian 6.4 last season.
