Both miniatures are looking good Les, not entirely convinced I'm a fan of the wings tbh, but hey each to their own. As for the Terminator, it may be me or the photo but it seems to have a few brush strokes going through some of the blended plates.
If that is the case, have you seen ScaleModelMedics "Weathering a Box car", was just thinking could you not use a similar effect to feather the blend a little more. Let me know if I'm wrong cos I'm kinda standing on the shoulders of giants here, lol.

Alclad II metallic paints are arguably the best metallics for models. They are made to be airbrushed on. They also have harsh fumes as most laquer paints do, so make sure you have breathing protection and a well ventilated area. I had never used them until today. After following the procedure:
1. Prep your surface to be as smooth as possible.
(I skipped step 1, and pulled already assembled pieces off my Land Raider Crusader)
2. Prime with Alclad Gloss Black with 2 light coats @ 10-15 psi. Allow 1 hour between coats.
(I did a light coat then a heavy coat. Most chrome systems require a 'smooth as glass' surface and if I can do anything to prevent polishing I'll do it.)
3. Let Gloss Black dry overnight.
4. Light coats of Alclad II Chrome @ 10-12 psi. Dries almost instantly.
NOT TOO MUCH!!!!. Over applying the chrome will result in a finish that just looks like a high quality silver paint (you can see the difference on the frag launchers on the front tracks). Applying the paint little by little gives you control on how bright you want the chrome to some extent. But again, getting carried away will result in 'silver'.
The chrome has a history of being a bit fragile for handling, so a gloss from Alclad to finish it off and protect it is recommended. I thinned down some Liquitex Acrylic Gloss and used it with no problems.
This was a simple test with already assembled pieces. In the future, pieces that will be sprayed with Alclad Metallics will be polished up like glass, because the final result will only be as good as the prep work.
Alclad Supplies were purchased here http://www.houseofhobbies.com/alclad.html.
Shopping List:
Alclad II CHROME $8.25
Alclad II GLOSS BLACK BASE 2oz $3.70
Alclad II AIRBRUSH CLEANER 4oz $3.50
Alclad II GLOSS KLEAR-KOTE 4oz $7.75
Man, it'd be awesome if I had the time, equipment, gumption, and skill to make that chrome.
Unfortunately, I lack all those things. Even so, I want it on every metallic surface ever in my army.

Great project log, that commission Drop pod came out fantastic. Having followed your vids on youtube for quite a while, I'm greatly impressed by the results you got with Vallejo's game colors. I'd like to know how you deal with their separation issues - I found that mine tend to separate very easily on the palette, especially when thinned, but in some cases (Blood red for example) even straight out of the pot. I always shake them vigorously (>2 mins) but out of the 6 colors I have, only one will stay properly mixed for more than half a minute.

I am really curious to see how that paint will weather up and interact with acrylics and pigments. Right now, it is too stark a contrast to the beautifully weathered hull.
My god...its hard to imagine that a single human is doing all of this fantastic work...or even that he eats or sleeps for that matter. Love the chrome. I bought a chrome can of spray paint for R/C Lexan bodies, looks great on clear plastic but have never experimented on 40k yet, maybe ill give it a try.
As for the comments on your work, where do I start. I admire all of it. I love the skin tones on your boyz, I love how they have a real defined muscle look as if you got to the actin and myosin and painted them individually! I also like the drop pod commish! The interior is amazing! I like the idea of your 3 chapters and will watch anxiously for updates. I like the angels of retribution and look foward in particular to more updates of them. The rhino also looks magnificent!
Also like the chrome T-1000 above....im sure that wont get worn out!

And the Angels of Ab are coming around greatly. I love the rhino. Very awesome man.
I am accepting commissions for Forgeworld building. I know many of you may love Forgeworld, but I'd just love to get my hands on something just to build it, you can keep it. You don't even have to pay me! Just for the product!
With the new year approaching I decided to evaluate the way I run my youtube page. Instead of having 2-4 week gaps between tutorials I plan on Stock piling footage in advance, that way when I want to throw up a tutorial all I have to do is edit the footage previously shot. So getting into that frame of mind I'm shooting all 4 of the Dark Eldar tutorials I had planned tonight. Now this doesn't mean that they will all be up to view tomorrow. As some of you may know, editing can take as long as the video shoot or twice as long to do depending on the amount of editing and quality you want to achieve. One of the videos will be put out every week to cover the rest of December, and I'll be trying to maintain 1 tutorial vid per week. I had to change things up because normally it takes 1-2 hours to shoot footage and about 4-6 hours to edit. So it basically takes me an entire work day to shoot a tutorial most of the time which is very demotivating. But the new way of doing things should make it easier on me
Dark Eldar Tutorial line up:
Obsidian Rose - Footage Shot Last Hatred - Footage Shot Black Heart- pending Baleful Gaze- pending
Finished Obsidian Rose:

While buying my Dark Eldar boxes I rally wanted to do some wych spam but I can't help to think of Vera de Milo when I look at them. They must work out at the Catachans gym. I thought it would be funny to make a clan of them headed up by a hekatrix with ogryn arms lol.
I'm looking at getting the HP-CS for my first foray into airbrushing, but I have a few questions about it. Do you mind if I flick you a PM? Being over in NZ, I don't especially want to go importing the wrong airbrush/compressor etc.
Nice work on the deldar! (New term, I think it'll totally catch on).
