Fantastic work as always, Les! It's sometimes quite strange to look at them with the way that they've been blended; there's no hard-lined power armour and such... and let me tell you that I think it's so much better this way! It's hard to grasp at first, but in the end it's a much more realistic looking model. IMO, of course. Keep up the good work - For The Lion!

Amazing stuff, as always.

When you do Zenithal highlighting, what pressure range do you usually go for? I'm planning on doing my first attempt at it later this week.

I'm pretty sure you're sposed to polish those 'real' metallic paints. Though they do end up looking like alloy wheels if you do. Nice models, i like the orks especially.

Little Update!

Scotts BLOOD KNIGHTS (hybrid Grey Knights attached to Blood Angels) : About 50% done just need to do ALL the blending as everything is blocked out at the moment.

My ANGELS of ABSOLUTION : Decided I wanted to go back a bit to when I was doing my Black Templars. I like the idea of a heavily weathered army that looks like they work for a living. So I decided to hit all sides, front and back of one of my Rhinos and this was the result. The top still needs to get some 'rash' on it but the sides make it look like it took a tumble down a rocky hillside lol. Need to add streaks and rain damage but she looks like what I'm planning to do to the whole army

@ Imperial Monkey- i noticed that on the GK's feet as well... i think that is either a) some dust from the ballast material Lb used on the base, or b) early stages of weathering... personally i think it is option "a".

Lb- those Blood Knights are a little bit bling for me... chrome... to shiny even for GK imho. maybe it won't be so overwhelming once you blend and paint up the skulls, purity seals and extras... we'll see

weathering on the rhino! out of this world... can't wait to see more!

The New Dark Angels F.A.Q. basically says my Chapter Master can have the following:

1. Lightning Claws
2. Combi-weapon
3. Melta Bombs
4. Jump Pack

ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

So I decided to make a model just because we can Custom Jump Packs are on the way (being built by youtuber Kanvass1) but you get the idea.
Model has had about an hour of work put into it. And decided to magnetize the right arm weapon to switch out flamer, plasma, melta. The 'Marneus' style weapons will 'Count As' Combi-weapon.

Can't wait to see him once he has some more paint on him Les. Looks great atm except the right power fist kind of blends in with the chest etc.

You're really getting some crazy results out of those oil paints. Do you use the same method for blending on this guy as you do on your oil NMM/blend tutorial?

Hey Les, I saw your youtube vid on the death guard mini, but cant find anything in it in your thread. In any event, I was wondering what you would do to lighten the model up. Instead of being so dark and grungy, how would you go about making it more of an off white armor thats been worn down by grime and sludge.

I love the vid though, and the mini turned out fantastic
