That's looking pretty... well... I can't say solid now can I? Pretty nice though It's not 40k terrain if there aren't a lot of holes in it

What are the criteria? Might be able to give better commentary if we knew what the challenge was.

I like the look of it, ever consider trying to turn some of your super awesome terrain into molds and selling it off?

I think Gitsplitta hit is on the proverbial head though, what is the competition looking for?

Been meaning to do a proper catch here for ages. What a blog, dude. Absolutely love what you did with those Nid bits to start with, wish I'd seen that sooner! Hotel Kalif-Orknia was outstanding too. Man, just everything. And it's so nice to see you focus so hard on improving and really listening to what everyone has to say.

Now I'm back up to speed I'll be around much more often.

That terrain looks great Cam! also i really like the scheme for your space marines! how you mix camo with the regular color of the armor.

Thank you so much guys.

The competition is titled "Wall me up, Fence me in!"

So the idea is a fence or wall or such, upto and including everything to laser fences. Which some nutters are attempting. Whicjh will be amazing if they pull it off.

At this stage you see walls, but this is me here, Of course I will do fences and mixture wall fences, and probably some huge dio, (take a bit of notice here) Thinking squig pen, fighting pit type thing. Taking the "fence me in" bit to mean fence in something. Of course the squigs I have ordered will get some homebrew company, and probably a victim or two.

But the fencing and walls will be detachable and usable for gaming, as linear terrain.

Got it. If the other walls turn out anything like your first... it'll be a spectacular piece!

Nice work.
Like the skeleton "carvings".

The bullet holes could do with a little alteration.
A couple of the sections look like someone got carried away with a machine gun, but avoided hitting the thicker bits, if you see what I mean? Someone shooting at a wall (or at least someone else near a wall) is not going to hit the wall so "cleanly" in the middle of flat sections. It could be concentrated into one corner of a section and could chip edges off etc.. More random, less symmetric.

Looking great. The niches above all, though all is good!

Not totally sure about the wire fence over the the broken wall piece, something more "added on" (lacking a better way to describe it), as in less permanent/not so well fixed would maybe be more fitting to top a ruined wall: rolled barbed or bladed wire, perhaps?

(I'd be hard to sink the poles into the wall as the look they are there).

This is what a reinforced concrete wall looks like after 250 7,62 bullets shot from a distance of about 150 meters hits it and that wall is about 20cm thick too.
i thought you could use it for some inspiration.

and that's me in the pic too btw, the proud shooter.

DiDDe, that sure is exposed steel reinforcement there! something to think of when making damaged walls for game scenery!

Unfamiliar with that weapon you are holding.

DiDDe, so how many belts did that take to do that?

Walls look great.

Concrete walls are tricky things. With them, there is no such thing as overkill, only just enough kill.

@Shas, it took 5 50 round belts to do that. but ofc they were connected to make a 250 round belt. but i could have done alot more damage to it if i could have realised after the third burst that the black spot in the middle of the block were actually a hole.. so i basically just threw about 100-150 bullets straight through the hole.

and red, do you really think that we are worthy of such knowlage? :O

Hate when targets already have holes, messes with the counts!

Tag tut incoming as promised.

Firstly though, thank you all for your replies, means a lot.

Now still working on those bullet wounds, but here is the tutorial you requested. Hope it helps someone, and any questions feel free to ask. I am no expert, and I know several of you will be telling me off for technique with the painting.

End result..

Got to add some details to this bit yet, but will probably batch that all together when I have a bunch of the walls finished to this standard.

C& C always welcome, thanks for stopping by.
