Thank you but my work is nowhere near that good.

Well it looks that good to me, but at least you've made a great blog that lots of people are reading!

You are too kind, thanks for reading.

Sorry, no update yet.

You're welcome! It just makes me happy when people put a lot of effort into their painting like I do. With good quality miniatures I think they should have good work put into them.

What a great blog! The 3rd sergeant is my favourite of the lot so far, I love the clenched fist!

Can we hope for a vehicle anytime soon?

You've also given me light box envy p:

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Good question... I'd love to see a razorback for these guys.

No vehicles anytime soon, but look, I painted a horsie!

Bottle, the lightbox was a cheap and easy build:

The eye of terror.

I love the shading on the barding on that thing. What techniques do you use to create the blended highlighting? Is it just judicious use of washes?

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

Thanks!

It's similar to my black armor technique but with larger areas of color blocked in:
Black up top then scab red with blood red blended upward into the scab red.
Then blazing orange just around the bottom edges followed by many, many full and partial coats of devlin mud and griphonne sepia wash and final highlights on the black areas with codex and fortress grey.

Lol, this will sound lame, but for a lightbox I literally just took 2 pieces of blank paper with no lines (any computer paper really) and place one flat on a table, then fold the other in half and stand it on its side. It works perfectly heheh. It even folds away for easy storage, and is fully biodegradeable

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

Whatever works, my problem was that I have very little natural light in here so I built the box and stuck as many lights in it as would fit.

It kept me busy and out of trouble for an afternoon.

That light box tutorial is totally neat! Thanks for sharing. If I had space for one of these, I would make one right now ;n;

What's next on the painting schedule Shortbus? I look forward to seeing this army grow!

I'm glad your lightbox is fully biodegradable... And that it's so space efficient!
