I just really hope that this box isn't a huuuuge let down. I mean all this built up and then if it were to just be some worthless statue or something.....

Well, we're the ones doing the build up to it, so we'd have a hard time blaming GW if it is something a bit meh.

GW certainly could have NOT said anything and simply let it be a surprise on the 16th as well.

So, they are at least somewhat 'guilty' along with the rest of us.

Of course, it could still turn out to be all things to all people, so don't give up yet!

The rest as far as I can make it purely Interweb Speculation. As I said earlier, the BolS report is more a rumour consolidation than a single, cohesive rumour. All those things could have been mentioned individually...

Starwars has shown that people will buy empty boxes with the word "limited edition" on it.. Perhaps its just an empty box that GW is gonna charge 50$ for and give you a limited edition # to show you were a party of a short print run!

GW HAS hyped this a bit more than that, what with the "never been done before", "limted quantities, when they're gone they're gone!" and some strange "We're droppin' the bomb on the 16th" talk...

That's a tad more than "Stay tuned for...{yawn]...some odd release at GD Germany."

Colour me not that interested. Got plenty of stuff on the go at the moment and I'm not being dragged off in another direction (although I'll still want to know what the damn thing was).

I have to admit, at this point, it has 'worked' on me.

I mean, to the extent that I care what it is.

Which is by no means a guaranteed sale, but I'll be paying attention.

The T-shirts sporting the "Everything you've been told is a lie" tag-line are promoting the re-launch of the GW website. They are not related to the "Mystery Box".

Well that's good... and also lame. They've launched the new website. It's clunky and slow has little in the way of 'hobby'. Why do you need T-shirts about it?

I spent all of yesterday playing with the new Bastion kit that a friend of mine brought over (and building a Shadowsword), seeing what it could do, what it's compatible with (ie. everything) and have myself to the fact that I'm going to buy another 10 Bastions to built this super-fortress thingy I want now.

So more terrain would be great, and I've heard more rumours about that Indomitable Fortress thing from the PS book actually being released... so who knows.

It seems that anyone who isn't annoyed can simply class the people who are annoyed as 'nerd-raging', instantly trivialising their complaint. It's an institutionalised ad hominem attack and it needs to stop.

I hope they don't make it so limited that no one can actually get hold of it. I'm fed up of "limited editions" of just about anything, I just want to see miniatures in a catalog and be able to buy them. I don't have access to a GW store but would like a fair opportunity to have the chance to buy the contents of this "mystery box" if they interest me.

The staff at my local GW have started wearing new shirts that say "everything youve been told is a lie," when I asked the manager about it he said it was in reference to bell of lost souls and warseer spreading rumors about some mystery box.

I bet its the long-rumored plastic Thunderhawk.

Years ago they released a metal thunderhawk in a wooden box for something like $1,000 as a special edition collectors dealie.
