Anyways, I think that orks really need some way to make Kommandos troops or a sniper unit.
I agree, it seems like every race that is updated gets some form of a deep striking vechile or MC.
While this is ..... interesting..... I fear we will have the magic the gathering sickness eventually.

Yeah, the 'codex creep' phenomenon does get kind of discouraging. It has been ever since they started printing each codex individually instead of all in the one 'army lists' book. "Flavor of the month" is how we used to describe it... like, why play SM when you can play BA or SW just as a 'for instance'... why play anything that isn't the fresh new broken rules of the moment? IG, ork, BA, nid, SW... if you play anything but those you are handicapped by less broken rules. Next time DE or necron gets a new dex, I'm sure everyone will jump on a bandwagon for them too, and everyone who doesn't will sit and complain that it's too powerful.
I don't play at competative tournaments, just basement games and FLGS games, so really don't care personally what the flavor of the month is... but one day I'll get a new codex and I'll be able to take a squad of 10 deepstriking wraithlords at 50 points each or something equally silly. That's when I will give up and go back to just playing chess
Can I get a squad of Avatars?

Containment Spray
Str 2, AP -, Assault 6, 24"
Any vehicle hit by containment spray reduces the maximum distance of each of its movement speeds by 3". These effects stack, and last until the end of your opponent's next turn. If this would reduce its flat-out movement speed to 0, then that vehicle becomes immobilized (as per the damage table) permanently. If the vehicle is already immobilized, each additional hit from containment spray 'pins' a weapon in place (e.g. turrets and sponsons can no longer turn to fire) This effect occurs regardless of the damage table result of the shooting.
Infantry hit by containment spray have their movement speed reduced by 1" for each successful containment spray hit (even if no wounds are inflicted) until the end of their next turn. Monsterous Creatures can ignore the first 2" of movement speed reduction. Infantry count as having moved during the movement phase (even if they didn't) for the purposes of firing weapons while their movement speed is reduced by 3" or more.
Something to slow down and stop all-mechanized lists. Dunno how many points it would have to cost, but it would be nice to have a way to stop everything from moving around so fast.

I think you know exactly what I meant. I was talking about the codex.
People are acting like SW and BA get everything in the Space Marine codex, plus everything that's special to their respective chapters. Hence, "Space Marines +". All I was saying is that wasn't true, Space Marines are not "gimped" or lacking in comparison, they're just different. They have things the other codices don't have, they have their own viable lists that can't be easily reproduced with the other two books. GW has, believe it or not, given you reasons to keep using Codex: Space Marines and not keep hopping to the next new Marine book.
Hell, for a while that was one of the main complaints about the other chapters. "Why can't my land raiders and drop pods fit 12 models? Why don't I get this, why don't I get that?"

Well, DA were written before 5th, and not only that but were intentionally gimped because GW was trying a new design philosophy for them and CSM...which obviously failed horribly. So yeah, unless you're a die-hard fan or a Deathwing/Ravenwing player (and even then...), you're probably playing with Codex: Space Marines.

Maniacal Gibbering Madboy
|
Based on the BA Death Company, this is mostly a way to make Orks strength 4. These guys are 15 pts each and should be filed under Elites. Also seems like a fun project for conversion:
Bad Dok's Rejekts: Bad Doks have to break a few eggs to make their omelettes. Consequently, a Bad Dok's medtent is usually surrounded by an unfortunate squad of mutated Boyz, fenced in and guarded by shokkstikk-wielding Grots. Driven to a state of gibbering insanity by the Bad Dok's attentions, these Orks become truly ferocious, a howling, slobbering mob of psychotic demon-fiends, rushing at the enemy clutching chains, rusty scythes, broken bottles and wooden planks. More often than not however, they simply use their bare hands and teeth to rip the enemy apart.
Rules: Mob rule, Waaagh!, Feel No Pain
One Rejekt may be upgraded to a Bad Dok (+15 pts and grants Feel No Pain) who may take a Power Klaw (+25 pts).
WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
Rejekt 4 - 4 4 1 2 3 7 6+
Bad Dok 4 - 4 4 2 3 3 7 6+
In a nutshell: no sluggas, just choppas, therefore no shooting at all for this unit, but they have 3 attacks each at strength 4 and they have Feel No Pain. They are also 3 times as expensive as a normal Ork Boy, though, so don't call them broken just yet!

Have you by any chance looked at the Tempus Fugitives website they do a lot of different campaigns and make GW approved rules. They have rules for all the primarchs, I used Leman Russ in apoc the other week against Horus - man that was epic.

God tons of stuff (and not all for armies I play) I can' stop at just one
Orks - proper battle tanks for starters, something with an Av of 12+ no transport capacity and some big gunz.
Something for the snakebites, squig herds, boar boyz, squiggoths! Something! Boar boyz could be Fa choices with improved cc abiltiy vs bikes (3attacks base cos of the pig and an extra 1+str on the charge maybe?) but without the dustcloud, turbo-boost and guns. Squiggoths are just crying out to go stomp some nids.
Ork roks would be fun but IMHO spreading the drop pod mechanic around too much is a bad idea.
Mad boyz should definitely make a return, improve theirt base statline, no guns, each turn roll a dice (maybe a 2D6 table) to see what power they get some buff (FNP, extra attack, free waaagh) some debuff (stand still for a turn looking at clouds, fight each other, imemdiately run away from the scary thing, wander off in a random direction to look at the shiny thing).
Arch Arsonist would make an awesome character too.
Eldar - solitaire. The biggest bad ass in the entire game during 3rd ed. 12" charge, invulnerable up to 12 attacks or something stupid. Bring him back, make him just as deadly but really, really fragile.
bonesingers - every race needs some kind of fixer/healer. Bonesingers could fill this niche and also have a set of non-psychic powers like making or improving terrain, throwing shards of bone, putting wounds back onto wraith creatures.
A new aspect. Play wise most niches are covered but a psychology based unit (similarly to the Ig PBS that lowers ld or forces checks) or a unit that uses poison haven't been done. I would dearly love to see the slicing orbs make an appearance but the whole point of the slicing orbs is that they're incredibly rare.
Some kind of assault tank.
Dark Eldar - harlequins
Necrons - some kind of giant mechnical scorpion would be cool although infringing on the talos's design space.
An obelisk or small monolith as a drop pod equivalent (either deathstorm-esque drop, immobile, blasty or drop, immobile, warriors emerge from its portal).
Some kind of more normal vehicle like a skiff or giant chariot.
Tau - Great Knarlocs for a start but generally more and more varied aliens. Nicassar as a tank upgrade, demiurge as an elite choice, etc.
More and more varied tanks.
Tetras.
Space Wolves - wolfen squads, mostly because I feel sorry for old 13th co players with them staring at them from the shelves.
Chaos Space Marines - cultists!
The return of daemons that are at least marked, ditto greater daemons
Cult terminators
More and more varied daemon engines (also applies to chaos daemons)

The 'The Party Wolfs' for the Space Wolfs.
Whenever the Party Wolfs engage an enemy squad in melee, the Party Wolfs and the enemy have to pass a leadership test. If both are passed, that unit will rumage around and party with the Party Wolfs. Forever. If one is failed, they will continue with fighting.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only
I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.
— Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt, prior to the field execution of his uncle General Aldo Dercius |

sir, if Games Workshop had you on their team... the world would be a better place.
