my squad of 11 genestealers and a broodlord killed 2 full tactical squads, 2 squads of guardsmen, a devastator squad, a 5 man shooty terminator squad, popped a LR, and maimed half an assault squad before the game ended. the broodlord and 2 stealers were left, feasting on the mountain of corpses. it was a good day to be a tyranid! after the game my oppenents reation was this

Or perhaps Grimgore killing an entire 2500pt High Elf army.

Not sure which edition you played this in, but Space Marines can't get caught in Sweeping Advances in 5th ed. Nice story though!

As for my own story, I was playing my SM army against a Tyranid player, who fielded 3 Trygon's. I had a squad of Sternguard Veterans, attached with Lysander and Tigurius, teleport (via Gate of Infinity) to within Rapid Fire range of the 3 Trygons. They opened up on one of them with Hellfire Rounds, causing about 16 wounds. Trygon couldn't handle that many wounds, and fails at least 6 saves. One Trygon down. I then have some long range shooters take another Trygon down to a single wound.

On his coming turn, he charges me with the 2 remaining Trygons along with 2 groups of Genestealers. I have Tigurius go toe-to-toe with the unwounded Trygon, and the rest of the squad go up against the Genestealers. His Trygon takes all his attacks on Tigurius, and manages to kill him, but not before Tigurius wounds him twice. I then use the Force Weapons "Instant Death" ability, fail the first test, but make the second one. 2 Trygons down. The last Trygon (with 1 wound), manages to kill 2 Veterans, and the Genestealers manage to kill another 2. Lysander takes down 3 of his own, and the Veterans manage to kill 3 Genestealers of their own. I win combat by 6 wounds, due to the fresh Trygon taking Instant Death, and the last Trygon fails 2 of it's Fearless saves. 3 Trygon's down.

And as for the other groups of Genestealers, one got reduced to 2, and the other down to 9 (Total of 7 failed their Fearless saves between the 2 groups). Next round of CC, Lysander and the Veterans clean house on the other 2 groups of Genestealers and press on. By the end of the game, Lysander was still standing, along with the Veteran Sgt.

I technically only tied the game b/c we were playing "Capture and Control", but we house ruled in that if it was a tie we'd go by Kill Points. So by our house rules, I won 11 - 6.

My greatest feat with my guardsman was when I played my friend. He played Tau and I had Imperial Guard. I had five spare guardsmen and we agreed i could field them as an extra unit.
I footslogged them into close combat with ten tau firewarriors. 3 of them died on the way there. but two survived and killed off 10 tau firewarriors and 2 kroot.
I nicknamed those two guardsmen Chucky and Marbo jr.

My dreadnought from the Black reach boxed set, assaulted Fugan the fire dragon pheonix lord. survived 2! penning hits and then proceeded to take the last 2 wounds off the phoenix lord which promptly failed his 3+ inv saves for both and dies horribly.

Cue basing kit eldar helm painted red on the dreads base....

Yesterday I played in a friendly tournament with my frined playing tau allied with my nids.

In 2 of the 3 games we played, my Doom of Malan'tai finished the game with 10 wounds. Against a Space Wolves/ Chaos marine army, he deepstriked in spore between two troops squads, one chaos and a wolf squad with the wolf lord in it. 7 wounds later, the wolf lord is standing with one wound left wondering where all his warriors went, and the chaos player lost 3 more guys.

Later that game Cataclysm wiped out the squad with the chaos lord in it heading for our objective with a S10 blast. Fortunately he the lord passed his 5+ invul.

The following game, the Doom scared the entire Salamander force away from their one objective (Capture and Control game) for fear of having their essence leeched. He literally hovered after them and forced them into the path of the waiting Tyrant that then began feasting.

Don't know if I've contributed already but back in 5th edition I bough a unit of 10 skavenslaves for 50 points just to fill out the army. They were charged by a chaos general and his knights, a unit worth 800 point or something daft when you add up the knights, general and all the various magic items. Well they stood their ground for two turns before breaking but outran the pursuing knights. The following turn they rallied following a roll of snake-eyes against their leadership and instantly overcame the fear test and threw themselves back against the knights and tied them up for the remainder of the game. Ok they were wiped out eventually, but when 50 points of troops tie up 800 points for a whole game it makes you proud of the little fellas.

Killed my

I have a Chaos Havoc who has destroyed two land raiders, both times on the first turn. Also have a Skull Champion w/ Powerfist who brought down a Baneblade, ran down 30 or so orks and fisted Zagstruck in an apocalypse game, after all his Brother-Slaughterers had been fragged by a basilisk squadron.

I know this is a bit ot, but the biggest fail has to be Abaddon hacking his way through 2 Wraithlords, a squad of wraithguard, and countless howling banshees and Striking scorpions (he lost all his termy guard on the way). He then (with 4 wounds remaining) charged a squad of guardians hunkering in cover. They struck first as they were in cover, (hitting on 5s, wounding on 6s iirc) and wounded him 4 times. All 4 saves were failed -.-

Really more of a failure for me but

3 Deffkoptas firing at a mob of 'zerkers. 4 hits 2+ to wound. Cue 3

Majority of my battleforce survived a devastating apocalypse missile strike. Also 3 stormtroopers manage to brig down a Trigon prime (probably not that impressive but oh well)

My tau firewarriors winning vs hormagaunts in melee.. we drew 4 times until I killed the last one...

I had a game also where the broadside took out dante and the emperors champion (vs allied blood angels and black templars)

Today a lone Khorne Berzerker with plasma pistol killed marbo in CC, shot a twin linked lascannon vrom a vendetta, killed a chimera, and died after going to ground being shot by to las cannons , rolled a 5 and a 6

I'll post for my friend since he doesn't have an account, then post my own story. I ran a squad of blood angels terminators, half TH/SS, half lightning claws with a librarian in termie armor w/ a SS and a sanguine priest in termie armor. He was playing tau and shot EVERYTHING he had at the unit. Eventually it was down to a single termie with lightning claws and the librarian. They split up to charge 2 separate units and killed both units. The lightning claw termie then ran into a unit of broadsides with shield drones, dealt a single wound (bad termie) and the broadsides all wiffed. A single shield drone flew into my terminator's face and killed him. Damn frisbee of death.

My epic feat was this same unit that ran through a horde of 30 ork boyz, got shot 108 times in a turn by orcs and lost ONE terminator, assaulted the two closest units and started smearing the table with them. I lost 3 terminators in a grand total of 168 ork shots (including missile launchers) and about 75 close combat attacks. Regardless of a 2+ armor and feel no pain, I'm pretty sure this unit should have died 2-3 times over. Of course, my librarian giving the unit preferred enemy and a single model +D3 attacks (cough cough lightning claw termie) per turn due to his epistolary status...yea, it was a good day

I had Thraka and a nob squad charge at my tactical squad and managed to wipe the entire unit with the tacs. Marine Kalidus punched Thraka in the face and killed him. Really the one spectacular thing Ive done.

lolwhut? 10 Tactical Marines don't have enough attacks to kill Ghazkull alone, not to mention even a minimum sized squad of Nobs. Not even over 7 turns... Someone could Mathhammer it if they wanted.

Anyway, my Vulkan last night went on a rampage, killing a depleted Assault Terminator squad that included another Vulkan, chasing the other guy's Vulkan off the board while taking a charge from a Space Marine Bike squad on the next turn and winning and chasing them off as well.

Last week ORK+ daemons with scarbrand vs my blood angels and Tau DC, dread charges a blob of 30 orks, I was hoping the DC would of gotten there too, crappy DT test = no charge. DC dread manages to kill 29 orks and puts one wound on the nob with the blood talons and the Nob manages to immobilize the dread before running off.

Also during the course of the game my Shas'o Took out a truck on turn one, another on turn two, A soul grinder on turn 3, two killer kans on turn 4 Before scarbrand charged from 18 inches through cover to ruin his day

I had three mechanithralls box out my opponents thunderhead after it energy pulsed the others to death.

My termie Reclusiarch with DC taking on Jain Zar and her 5 banshee pals.

Needless to say, the DC got their faces pwned, and Zar put a on 3(?) wounds on my Reclusiarch. Made all his saves and he then proceeded to ever so slowly take out all 4 of her wounds. By slowly I mean 4 turns. All the while not losing one wound.

Same game, my dev sergeant with his bolt pistol took out 4 bikers.

A single Lascannon Team of mine took down a a full strength bane blade a land raider one wound off of abbadon and they did it with one shot

As a hail of bolter fire from the watching bikes whiz past, the Sarge and the assassin skip of merrily into the sunset.
some deverstators shot the bikes. blah they dead.

His name, and the assassin, is enough to strike fear into my main opposing player.

In true Lone Wolf fluff fashion;

A unit of my Grey Hunters had their Rhino popped by a melta killing one in the subsequent explosion. A nearby plasma cannon and dreadnought with assault cannon knocked the pack down to three remaining members. Said dreadnought then assaulted the remaining three (Mark of Wulfen GH, melta gunner GH, and powerfist GH). After losing two packmates, powerfist GH scores the necessary hit to wreck the dreadnought.

I am now modeling a Lone Wolf in TDA with a chainfist and storm shield to represent his desire to kill as many dreadnoughts as he can in revenge for his fallen brethren.

I got a good one my DP with one wound left turnded the Night bringer into a blob of spawn!

One of my freshly painted wolf guard termies survived a drop from the bookshelf and being savaged by a mad cat.

Other than this it is a great feat for any of my minis to be alive on the table at the end of a game.

Empire army. My general is leading a unit of spearmen.

Caradryan, (HE who inflicts d6 wounds on the model that kills him) gets into combat with a unit of HEs and challenges. I can't retire my general, 'cos I'll get my ass kicked. I can't fight because I'll lose my general. I decide to buy a turn and send my champion to his death...

... and he kills Ceradryan. Dies for his efforts, but what a hero.

Not the greatest feat, but even my opponent had to laugh at his bad luck.
