The biggest standout I had will go in the negative direction.

A few years ago I was playing against a Sister army with my 13th company list, and I was foot-slogging to his front lines in true vehicle-less fashion.

I take out a few rhinos and his sisters take cover. A few rounds of fire later, one of my Packleaders lost his unit and arrived into charge range of about... 7 sisters? He assault, survives their feeble attacks and then rolls d3 for his mark of the wulfen upgrade. Of course he lands +3 attacks and that brings his (pre 5th edition) attack total to 8 powerfist swings.

He hits with 7, and rolls to wound. Pretty good shot at taking out the 7 chicks eh? He ends up with seven 1's.

Everyone spends the next 10 minutes apologizing to me, and I didn't really understand why. I live for this sort of futility. >;D

(He was later punched out by a sister, and not even the eviscerator in the unit, so at least the story has a happy ending.)

a libarian in my army once got assualted by a greentide in apoc. he survive 2 turns before help arrived and it was wiped out.
this demon prince is all thats left, it has one wound. my allies three basilks fire on it at once. it dies. Last blast template left instant deaths my libarian.

i once saw a single ratling win a combat agaisnt logan grimnar and 11 cc terms.

lol ok, so I had a thunderer unit get wiped out except for 1 guy by a bolt thrower and then my opponent (foolishly) disregards him and turns the bolt thrower's attemtion elsewhere. Then My lone thunderer shot at a unit of coldones for a couple turns, killing one and the surviving cc with them and having a slayer unit come over to kill all but 1 cold one. Then out of nowhere thunderer attacks and kills the last one!

First, it had the audacity to attract my attention, then when I slid it off the wall peg, it grabbed me by my collar, slapped me till I giggled then drug me to the register. Stern then pulled two twenty's from my pocket, told the cashier to keep the change and led me out the door.

Back when I played CSM, I once had a dred go into a fire frenzy and wipe out have a squad of CSM, later that game he went into a berserk rage and assaulted a havoc squad and tore them to shreds. After that went nuts again and popped a rhino.

Problem was it was all MINE! Damn those crazy dreds

This is just a couple weeks old for me here in Detroit just before round 1 of 'ArdBoyz. I had a pathfinder who was the only remaining member of the two squads I had placed in a game against IG. They were the only models on the board in turn one.

In round 1 of shooting he shot a valk full of vets glanced it, immobilized it moving fast, it failed its cover and died. 6 of the vets died and were pinned.

Turn 2 he was able to get a side shot on the chimera with a psyker squad inside, penned it, destroyed it.

Turn 3 Grey knight termies moved to about 3 inches away, shot at him and he survived all shots. They rolled a 1 and a 2 for difficult terrain test. I decided to assault and he was not wounded and killed 2 grey knights. My opponent then failed one of the fearless tests.

Turn 4 he was obliterated with 4 wounds but I was laughing my butt off.

Good times.

Going back to Second Edition I had a Sentinel with an Assault Cannon unload on a Blood Thirster. It made all its saves but one and I rolled a 10 on a d10 for the wounds, killing it outright.

Last weekend, I had my veteran squad vox caster fire his rapid fireing lasgun and killed 2 CSM terminators, this guy ended up being my only model to survive the battle.

Now he is waiting for a new paint job to celebrate his kills.

Me and a few friends were playing a 1000 point teams game, where we shared one force orginization chart. My partner brought 500 points of IG, mostly heavy weapons teams and basic infantry. I brought 2 Ironclad Dreads and Vulcan hehehe. We were up against Tau and Orks.

Well come turn one, we go second in one round of shooting and assulting my team is down to some generic IG infantry an imoblisized Ironclad and an unharmed Ironclad. I then went on to table the other team with what ammounted to one functioning Ironclad.

My friend who plays orks has beat this hands down though. I once had 5 TH/SS terminators, they get shot by 6 of his grots, he hits with 5 of the shots. I then procedd to roll 5 1's. I almost cried.

My warp spider Exarch was a true hero during a game I had vs. Imp guard. He was the lone survivor of a large blast from I think a leman russ, all four of his squad-mates died in the same round, he passed his leaderships and then became a true hero.

He survived a full barrage of shoots from a squad of guardsmen and then took the full brunt of an Exterminator fire. He took 7 wounds and saved every shot.

He went on the destroy a basilisk and destroy the main weapon of the exterminator before the games end. I think he also killed some marines, he survived the entire battle.

I once had Kharn the Betrayer, single handedly kill a squad of assaut terminators and then explode their land raider without taking a wound. It was such a happy day

my Nightbringer survived a round of beating from a daemon prince and a bad round of blasting from a unit of 10 havocs, he was at his last wound but thank god for etheric tempest

blew his havocs off the table and his prince 6 inches away

. after that i rewarded the NB's base with a chaos ring.

My Hive tyrant sat at the back of my tyranid army for a whole game, waited until EVERY other tyranid had been killed, then waltzed in and destroyed about 1000pts worth of orks in various ways. (warp blasting, CC and hosing down tanks with twin linked devourers....good times) However, he then got squashed by a flipped tank, which curbed his success rate somewhat.

I palyed a game once with my orks. 1000 points against tyranids. my army was split up in various small groups. 3 carnifexes charged at my warboss "da mighty Zappa" and his retinue of 5 nobz with big choppas. after a 2 rounds of combat, all of the nobz were dead and my warboss had only 1 wound left, and i only inflicted 1 wound on a carnifex. but then luck came my way. Zappa bellowed his rage, swing his big choppa a few times, and at the end of the last turn of the game (turn 7) all carnifexes were dead and Zappa was was very happy! that day i converted all my bikers to have tyranid head trophies. waaaaaaagh!

Oh yeah, and I was playing a game with a long-time tyranid player. he ahd about 60 gaunts with him, and my main choice was a land raider redeemer carrying lysander and a 5-man termie squad with th/ss. He was so scared of this lot, he sent both his carnifexes after them, which obviously got munched, the for 3 turns they suffered 2 casualties to the wave of gaunts, and then wiped out 5 warriors led by a warrior prime. then a trygon surfaced, which got owned. These 6 guys took out the entire 1,500 point army! (apart from a few zoanthropes, who got owned by a scout squad and tactical squad shooting at them).

and last week, i was playing a regular at my flgs- 2000pts of my marines vs his chaos.
(he had a dp-that will come in later)
I sent my useless 5 scouts with combat blades into the middle of no-mans land to tie as much of his force up 'till my plasma devestators get some serious kill points. He sent his dp after the scouts, and the sergeant wounded him with his trusty bolt pistol. the sergeant's men proved quite survivable, and it took the dp 3 turns to kill his 4 men, during which time the sarge took 2 further wounds from the demon. he then failed morale, and fled 7". 5 termies deep-striked, thanx to the sarge's teleport homer. they did squat, and were wiped out over 2 turns. the sarge, after seeing 5 of the 1st company downed by this monster, took aim- AND GOT A HEADSHOT, TAKING IT'S FINAL WOUND! A 13 POINT SCOUT, KILLING A DEMON PRINCE SINGLE-HANDEDLY!!!

P.S: the deverstators then took out 4 squads of chaos, and the rest were owned by lysander and his assault termies. I won 7-2 on kill-points.

My warboss survived a huge amount of beatings from a BA army it was somewhat like this...
Turn 2: Warboss and nobz attack death company, being able to kill at least one guy. Death company put 1 wound iirc

Turn 3: Tactical squad and scouts join the fight. quite a few wounds on my guys. i kill some too. Warboss is left to one wound.

Turn 4: I kill the captain, a few death company , and some scouts ( i am ignoring the tacticals

) My warboss survives with his saves but a few nobz die (including the painboy :( )

Turn 5: warboss dies off ( by a damn scout!) although i take my revenge and kill his last two scouts!

so that was my models greatest feat, a warboss survivng three blood andgels squads for 3 turns only to get killed by a measly space marine in training >_>

also once on the first turn my killa kanz rokkit did nothing, yet a grotzooka managed to kill a baal predator (yes it was the same game

)

now a models greatest fail thread, that would be awesome

My lone librarian w/power armor (2 wounds, no invuln save) charges 3 chaos terminators w/power weapons and a Terminator lord w/korne daemon weapon. My librarian manages to win combat and then sweeping advances them as they fail their moral.

Game swings from a loss to a victory for me.

I had Skulltaker survive a charge from a 10 man unit of genestealers with a broodlord (took no wounds), chop half of them down and send them running. Immediately after this he charged a hive tyrant, killed it, consolidated towards the carnifexes, on my next turn charged the squad and killed all of them himself (thank God for 4+ instant death) then he charged a unit of zoanthropes. He cut through 70% of the army by himself (just a bit of help from the Masque using her pavane to pull/push enemies around for him). The daemon princes running next to him never got a chance to even attack after he had his way with everybody

My carnifex was serving as a hive tyrant for a while, and he managed to kill an entire unit of Terminators and marneus calgar in CC without taking a wound.

Also, My defiler managed to squash an entire unit of marines with a single battlecannon shot.

Today I had a sanguinary priest survive for a billion assault phases against an endless wave of gaunts.

Although it would have helped me more if the priest died first, his unit fell back, and regrouped next turn to melta something... *grumble grumble*

Recently in a 2v2 game of IG vs orks,my lone armored sentinel immobilized a battlewagon with a well placed lascannon shot, lost it's weapon to return fire, then next turn slipped around to the tank's rear and proceeded to kick it to death

Battle Missions book, suprise attack against CSM. Brand new vindicator rolls onto the field first turn, levels a squad of three obliterators. Second turn, he rolls up to a squad of zerkers who had just wiped out my bikers (they lost and fell back of the table in the first turn). From point blank(4 inches) he scores a hit and removes 5/7 of them. It then spends the rest of game doing nothing since he never has targets not in CC.

As a guard player, I tend to have lots of puny units that don't distinguish themselves all that often. That said, I did have one rather epic experience with a priest:

The priest was the last model on the board. He charged in after a hammerhead which had moved 12" the previous turn. The priest charges in and exactly gets 6" for the charge. Given that I had 3 rerollable chainfist attacks, the fact that I took down the hammerhead wasn't actually that surprising, but it was still epic. This same priest took down 4 ork vehicles in a speed freaks list a few games later.

Not particularly out of the ordinary, as far as what statistics would predict, but it was these kinds of antics that kept the priest in my list, and which is why I now never hit the tabletop without at least 2 of them in my list.

Otherwise, the next most epic moment for a single model was the very first time I ever used a commissar. It was a 20-man guard squad with a commissar and a priest. The space marine player I was off against did a boatload of damage to the squad and then charged in with a combat squad, killing my squad down to just the commissar and the priest.

I roll my stubborn leadership test, and I fail. With no other targets, the commissar guns down the priest. I reroll the leadership test and fail AGAIN. The commissar evades the sweeping advance so that he can "stubbornly" retreat off the table edge unharmed.

As for the most epic against me, it was once when my opponent charged forward toward my basilisk and shot a single plasma pistol shot at the front armor.

And that single S7 shot blew up the basilisk...

Just last week I had a Wolfguard with combi-melta & powerfist melta a Soul Grinder, get charged by a second Soul Grinder which wiffs for two rounds of CC, then the WG kills the second Soul Grinder by punching him in the balls & wins the game by 1 KP.

Back in 4th ed. My 3.5 Chaos Slannesh DP was renoun for killing stuff. Demonic stature combined with a dread axe meant everything dies, no saves of any kind allowed.

In one game of chaos vs chaos, he took down a fully tricked out Khornate DP, and a unit of bloodletters before any could swing.

In another game he removed 3 units of termies in a Lysander wing style army.

On the flip side my Chaos lieutenant on bike with 2+ save died by running into more trees and/or plasma overheat than he killed in the armies lifetime.

**Warboss Imbad Ironskull**

I had a unit of Fire Warriors that was wiped out by a Defilers battle cannon. Only the Shas'ui survived, originally he failed his following leadership test but I had an Ethereal in his LoS so I re-rolled and passed so I had a one man unit.

I figured what the heck so my next turn I charged the Shas'ui into the Defiler and used an EMP grenade. When I rolled the D6 I got
a penetrating hit which was then rolled as wrecked.

Needless to say that Shas'ui recieved a promotion as well as the name Spider Killer (I forgot what it is in Tau) and eventually he worked his way up to becoming my Shas'o.

Ok, so after the Land Raider had popped the trukk that had my 'Ard Boyz Ork Squad within (taking most of the boyz with it) and then having all but the Nob of the squad blasted to bits by the remaining fire, The lone Nob sucked it up (by rolling double one's for morale) and picked a fight with said Land Raider.... enraged, he charged in with his power klaw and (rolling the 6 needed to assault it due to the land raider having moved, then roling another 6 for the penetrating hit with the PK.... thats Str 15 folks) tore out the main power reactor of the Land Raider (by rolling the wrecked condition on the Vehicle damage chart) and let loose a howl to his fellow remaining Orkz that even made the Dark Angel's shudder!

Safe to say... the orkz won that fight!

Plus it was my first Land Raider Kill with my Orkz
