I have 3 that are just amazing beyond belief. BTW, I saved the best for last.

1. My lone Scout Sergeant with Pfist got assaulted by 10 Chaos Marines after I turn 1 Storms assaulted his Havocs and wiped them. He takes 25 wounds and passes all 25 4+ armor saves. I have that pic somewhere. Grumble Grumble. Then kills one with his Pfist and I win combat. Opponent rolls double 6's twice in a row and they run off the board.

2. My Captain with combi-melta lighting claw and artificer armor (When I was a nooby) was leading my force against Plague Marines in a tournament. BTW, this was my favorite game ever, Lead changed 7 times in the last two turns and came down to a 16th of an inch and it was a draw. I'll post a Bat Rep later because i can still remember it Crystal Clear from 1 and a half years ago. Anyway, My captain Rampaged his army, exploding a Land Raider, killing like 15 Plague marines and contesting an objective while passing about 24/25 Iron halo saves. Not to mention pimp slapping a terminator.

3. Best moment ever. Same Captain as above scores this moment. Next day in an Apocalypse battle (This is at GenghisCon in Denver Colorado for those of you wondering. Great tournament, Golden demon winners giving paint lessons and such. AND, if your unlucky you can face a member of the 40kWreckingCrew) the Captain rose to the occasion. It was a one objective game with that objective being a Radio tower in the middle. Any unit, including vehicles within 12" of it counted as holding it. Whoever had the most units holding it at games end won. This was the bottom of the last turn and we had 3 units around the objective and they had about 8. Captain runs up, is within 12" (barely albeit) of both the Eldar Titan with one structure point remaining and the objective. Not within melta range (which didn't apply anyway) and he shot the combi-melta. I rolled a very lucky strand of dice and apocalyptically exploded it! It hits the Captain and he passes his instant death save and it hits two stormtroopers and the guy rolls Snake eyes to wound them. It then annihilates about 50 Khorne Berzerkers around the objective and all their Rhino's and Abbaddon and 20 Plague Marines. The guy didn't roll a single one to wound his own teams models. WE won, 4 to 0. Epic combi-melta shot killed a titan, 50 Berzerkers, 20 plague marines and like 2 Rhino's. Well worth the points! Anyway, the Khorne Berzerker player was taking a nap (he is my best friend) because he thought they had totally annihilated us. He woke up and asked, "How bad was it?" I responded. "Well, It was utter annihilation." He said, "Great, we won. Wait, where the *naughty* are all my guys?" I said, "I destroyed them." He was too tired and just shrugged it off. I caught the dice roll on video and showed him on the car ride home. He thought I was joking originally and was in disbelief when he realized, it was true.

I had ten genestealers,around me was 5 sanguinary gaurd and 10 death company(all in jet packs)So,my opponet thought it was smart to assualy me with sanguineary guard,i wiped the floor with them,as he thought he assualted first,then,then, wiped the floor with 10 death company.Then they died to a squad with 4 heavy bolters.

Marbo appearing behind 3 crisis suits, nuking them, they shot at him, he assaulted and tore them to shreds. He ran towards a 6-man stealth suit team and annihilated them, then killed off 3 kroot, finishing the squad.

Single-handedly took out all my opponent's models on one side of the field. Only 65 points!

First, A SM sgtwith power sword stood up to 1/4 of a Speed Freeks army for 3 turns. Never broke in combat, made all his saves, and was the last member of his squad, denying my opponant of some much needed VP.

Second, My SM Chaplain, Survived a direct hit from an IG Basalisk, then proceeded to disable the gun with a plasma pistol shot. Then charged the Guardsmen hiding in the basalisk's shadow and wiped them out.

I have one more from yesterday I'd like to share

my oponent had the first turn of a 750p game, my ba army vs his salamanders army,

on the first turn a drop pod slammed right betwine my front combat sq's and my rocket combat squads and a far too anoying ironclad dreadnought got out ready to multicombat my two heavy wep cb sq's,

So my sgt with a plasma pistol turned round and shot it in the a** and wrecked it, that wreck then provided the needed cover to stop a Vulcan hestan assult

who was then iradacated by the same plasma pistol, the sgt's squad then charged hestams guard and killed off 4/5 termies

my oponent through a stop grabbed his stuff and left the shop, which was the amusing part because he had 2/3 objectives..

I have a space marine teminator, armed with a storm bolter and power fist, in one epic game, his entire squad was killed by a shadowsword domination force (a shadowsword, 3 leman russes and a sentinel) and then destroyed the whole lot after taking the 'russes on over 3 turns, the sentinel in another, and got 4 chain reactions on the shadowsword (although only needing 3) and survived the explosion. My opponent, then pretty peed off with his prize unit being blown up by just a humble terminator, sent one of his land raiders to deal with him. The flukey termie then glanced it to death in 4 turns, before wiping out the tactical squad within. he then spent the rest of the game in combat with abbadon the despoiler.
Over the course of the game he survived 19 armour saves and 11 invulnerable saves.
I then gave him about seven purity seals and named him Orcus, after the greek god, who was pretty much the grim reaper- he dragged you kicking and screaming into hades (the greek equivalent to hell) whenever he felt like it.

Oh yeah, and I was playing a game with a long-time tyranid player. he ahd about 60 gaunts with him, and my main choice was a land raider redeemer carrying lysander and a 5-man termie squad with th/ss. He was so scared of this lot, he sent both his carnifexes after them, which obviously got munched, the for 3 turns they suffered 2 casualties to the wave of gaunts, and then wiped out 5 warriors led by a warrior prime. then a trygon surfaced, which got owned. These 6 guys took out the entire 1,500 point army! (apart from a few zoanthropes, who got owned by a scout squad and tactical squad shooting at them).

playing in a tournament, turn 7, i'm aware my opponent is likely to lash my plague beareres of my objective to win.

A lone horror, charges the DP in the hopes of tying him up, he hits first, 4 hits, 3 wounds - I save them all, the horror, hits twice, wounds once, and he fails the armour save, and then fails his save for bening fearless and losing - and dies!

My first round in a tournament ever my opponent sends a Mawloc (I think) at my deathwing squad. The squad opens up, 2 wounds from the Assault cannon and 1 from a Krak missile. Next turn squad fires again everything misses except 1 Storm Bolter, 6 to woun on both shots, guy passes one save. I have since promoted the Terminator to a squad leader, currently converting him.

Also when playing against the old 'Nid codex. A Fex is cutting a nice path of death through my squads. It shots, taking out my tac squad save sargent that has a Chainsword and Bolt pistol. After a shot and assault he kills the fex which only had two wounds left. He is now a Stern Guard.

I had a kasrkin sergeant with a power weapon shave three wounds off of a chaos lord in assault, killing him in the last combat phase of the game!

As of about 2 hours ago I own an Ork Warboss that took out a Warhound in single combat, who then survived the explosion (which took out about 300 points of my force and about 700 points of my opponents) and then survived three turns of heavy ordnance fire.

Now he has a hat

My ork warboss and his entire retinue, all armed with power klaws charged a valk and scored 0 hits! But my opponent made me roll for attak squig separate, 6 then 6 then 6! Blew the thing out of the sky by launching a squig into the turbine!

Not really my model, but played a doubles tourney this week, in our final game my team-mates lash prince survived about 3 turns of constant marine shooting with only 1 wound left, including a roll that needed at least 5 5's to survive! (luck was with us that time!)

I had a squad of 10 guardians with a warlock and charged them into a 5-Man Chaos terminator squad containg a full health Abbaddon....I won after 2 assault phases.

Also my friend had a lone CSM with a Lascannon that fired at my 3-Structure point Baneblade. I will forever regret mocking that marine....

back in, I don't know what edition, whenever the Necrons came out I guess, my Necron Lord took out Marneus Calgar, a Force Commander, a Dreadnaught and 4 Terminators, he just refused to stay down. this was back in the days when I ignored the time limits and played to the death

another game with an Inquisitorial Stormtrooper army my Inquisitor Lord gunned down some genestealers, a Zoanthrope (easily done with a psycannon I admit), a swathe of rippers, survived a shooting attack from the Hive Tyrant that wiped out his retinue and fought against the Parasite of Mortrex, eventually beating him to the ground with a Thunder Hammer and seeing off the swarms of Rippers with Holocaust, despite the Shadow in the Warp

Last year, I had a fresh 10 man terminator squad with a chaplain in terminator armor, completely decked out for CC. I assaulted a fresh unit of hormagaunts and wiped them, which sucked actually because I was very near the game board edge, and right behind that was a Hive Tyrant, 2 Carnifex's and a fresh squad of warriors. After his return assault next turn, every Terminator was wiped, except the chaplain, but he was in base to base with the tyrant, one of the warriors and the 2 fex's although we argued a little about how much could be in base to base with the chaplain. I ended up just giving in figuring the Chaplain wasn't gonna survive another round regardless.

Long story short, my Chaplain wiped the warriors, took down 1 of the carnifex's and had beat the hive tyrant down to 1 wound left, AND was still alive by the end of the game. I won handily because that one Chaplain kept nearly half of his army tied up for FIVE rounds of combat. I didn't fail any save the entire game with him, and then my opponent tried telling me that he now agreed with me that he couldn't have that much in base to base, but I wouldn't back down, considering I had gave into him and allowed it in the first place.

He even asked me to use his dice, as if I was cheating!

We haven't played together since. lol

I had a 750 game with my Guard versus some Word Bearer CSM once. I lost 3 Guardsmen, 1 to his gun overheating. The pivotal moment of the game came when some Chaos Terminators cornered my Platoon Command Squad, killed 2 through shooting, and then assaulted, whiffing their attacks. The Guardsmen struck back, killing one in CC, causing them to fail their Morale check, to get sweeping advance'd.

Another awesome moment saw my Vanilla Marine Captain with a Relic Blade carve through a 50 man Guard squad by himself. Killed 3 on the charge, the Guardsmen only made him take 1 wound. Guardsmen fail morale (even with a Commissar leading them), and then get sweeping advance'd.

I love how many of these stories involve sweeping advances.

My tau commander and his two bodyguards (and two shield drones) managed to beat 40+ some hormgaunts in melee, since they made all 15 armor saves. I proceeded to catch and kill the whole mess.

I was playing my deathguard against my friends tau. I charged with my summoned deamons into his broadside. after numerous melees I was down to one summoned deamon. At the end of the last combat my single demon did one more wound than he did and did a successful sweeping advance on three broadsides.

Well not sure if its a greatest feat since he costs 190pts but to deliver him with termies its upwards of 600 or so pts but i had vulkan get out of a landraider and split form the TH/SS termies (who went to fight genestealers) and charge 3 zonathropes. Termies die to fail save(many dice were fired that day) Vulkan kills all zonathropes gets charged next turn by stealers (from termie combat) wins combat and sweeps them. My turn fries some more stealers on an objective with heavy flamer and charges which killed the rest of the squad, then was charged by Giant worm thing (Malwoc maybe?) over the course of two more turns giant worm thing lays dead at his feet.

Im working on a base for him with lots of dead nid bits.

My grotz taking down the nightbringer.

I call BS on that! theres no way their puny S could hurt the nightbringers T6 or sumthin...

Single model wtfpwnage: Ghazghkull Thraka. Assaulted a land raider and exploded it, killing one assault terminator. The other four Assault Terminators with thunderhammers spill out and counter-charge Ghazghkull, who declares a Waaaugh! to take advantage of a 2+ invulnerable save. Three die and the fourth dies to no retreat wounds and he consolidates over to another land raider, and assaults it the following turn and wrecks it. Assault terminators spill out and assault Ghazghkull (no longer on the Waaaugh!) and he only takes two wounds! He attacks back and kills two and sits in combat until boyz come to help. I assault in and my opponent directs his attacks at Ghazghkull who LIVES STILL! The boyz finish off the terminators. Ghazghkull attaches to the unit and assaults a tactical marine squad, killing it (with the boyz).

That's about the best he's done.

If we talk about units, I'll have to talk about my burna boyz.

Actually a few weeks ago something very amusing happened to a poor Ultramarines player I was having a friendly game with at my FLGS

Five Thousand Sons with their Sorceror dead get assaulted by 5 Assault Terminators with Thunder hammers and Storm Shields.

Being initiative 4, I get to go first.

Five attacks, 4's to hit. Five hits.

Five hits, 4's to wound. Five wounds.

Five wounds, 2's to save. Opponent rolls

RUBRIC MARINES, CLOSE COMBAT MONSTERS.

He was not pleased. Game ended in a draw though.

Haven't played enough games for anything truly epic...

Although I had a combat squad of space marines get attacked by a Calldidus. They proceeded to not only survive her Template-thing, but (this started at the top of turn 2) take the surviving 2 marines in close combat and have a whiff-fest until about turn 4, when she finally slices them both in half. Next turn, she runs over towards a rhino, which promptly pops open a top hatch. A marine pops out of the top, flips her off, and melts her face off with a meltagun.

Ah, my lascannon model. Who else could hold off a 120 points model for 3 turns? If he hadn't have died I'd have given him a medal. Alas, his actual SHOOTING has been quite under par...
