What I mean to say is, I was laughing at the fact that "Drinking the Kool Aid" is a synonym for holding blind and/or bigoted views. I wasn't reffering to the massacre, which was pretty heavy reading.

I know the current push is to say, "but it was actually Favor-aid". When doing such this generation is ignoring that first the reports stated both were used and second that back then it was commonplace to refer to a paerticular type of product by the leading brand name(Most commonly known producer of a given product)

I think a "Drink the Kool-Aid" campaign could be really funny if handled right. Maybe all of the Comic-con attendees walk up and offer the protestors kool-aid or have people dress-up as protestors and have them constantly trying to get the other protestors to drink the purple kool-aid.(It has to be purple). One call to the news about a religious group handing out grape kool-aid as a part of the protest will ensure the epicness of the joke.

Look up the history of the Westboro Baptist Church. It's owned and operated by a couple who are practicing lawyers. They have their children always present at the protests, and anytime they get their permits revoked--they sue for "quashing free speech".

To be honest i wish the founder put some restrictions on speech. Not severe but somthing like "free speech will not be stiffled unless it contains extreme hate or contains threats that are dagerous to the public and the organization who serves them. "
Im glad that we kinda did something for the respect for fallen heros act. To bad people are afraid to enforce it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason alone that these people are so trigger happy with legal actions is an American thing, isn't it? I never hear about stuff like that in Europe.

Fred Phelps infamous congregation, best known for picketing the funerals of dead American soldiers, have reportedly made plans to protest at Comic-Con over the 'idolatrous' worship of comic book characters.

Writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and her husband Matt Fraction have pledged to donate money to Aids charity amfAR if the church appears at Comic-Con, with the donation rising depending on how long they stay.
