I'm fairly proficient not brilliant by any stretch but I hate it. Ooooo I hate it. I like my little iPod which I use for dakka, the weather, the bbc news and window shopping on the lanes armoury site and that's about it...... But every now and again I lose an hour on Wikipedia or some random trail. But I suppose that's only pc's and apple gadgets I'm ranting about, when it comes to computers on my tractor, or controlling complicated air flow patterns in my stock houses I freeking love that techno wonder stuff!!

I've grown up around computers, had once since I was 13, back in the 80's (TRS-80 & Apple ][ ).

These day I build my own PCs and can hack together my own (limited) programs from VB (including VBscript), Access & SQL, as well as know a little C/C++ (enough to follow a program and make a simple one).

I work in an IT department managing Unix systems and writing SQL reports, but I'm also the group's generalist.

I'd say I'm pretty good at computers, I can code a little and made a few mods but that's it really
