Oh man.... OOP land raiders... That'd be one of those things I actually wouldn't mind paying out the nose for.

At least for my Chaos Army. I hate looking at the same things all of my loyalist friends use. Having an all OOP army (which I do, if I play plague) is really great looking on the table.

Heh heh, yeah. If it works out I could do cheaper conversions myself, I probably will. The normal Mantic Dwarves would face-plate and mutation up fine I reckon. And I can get scadloads of them for cheap!

This is... odd.

Sculptor: "Huzzah, the Infernal Guard is ready!"
Manager: "Are these Chaos Dwarf Warriors? I told you that you are not allowed to sculpt Chaos Dwarf Warriors."
Sculptor: " No ... erm ... they are just slaves ... erm ... hiding their faces behind those masks ..."
Manager: "Okay then, go ahead!"
Sculptor "Phewww, that was close! Good thing he didn't see the blunderbusses!"

One thought is that, if this is primarily intended as add-on units for WoC, the idea of having units of goblin-type slaves would be unfair (or just not appropriate theme-wise for WoC). Imagine WoC combined with something like skaven slaves! It'd be murder...

Still psyched for the models no matter what they are, although being slaves helps explain the "plainess" of them... and if they were cheaper because of that, it might be worth it. Long shot, though, as it's probably just as costly for FW to cast a plain figure as a highly detailed one...

I can't wait for the Dark Eldar stuff. The 'catamaran' is beautiful even in the rough.

However, the idea of fielding a Raider with a haywire blast cannon... -swoon-

Hopefully they'll Dark Eldar it up a bit more and add spiky bits before release.

So the Corsair Eldar can take Kabalite Warriors, and Venoms. Perhaps that might also mean a unit or two of the Corairs units could be fielded in DE armies? Cuz a unit of Jetpack troops in a DE army would be kinda sick...

I also saw something mentioned about a two-decker Ravager with SIX dark lances??? *drool*

And yes, I agree with Deviant...the Caty is really pretty! As is the idea of a haywire *CANNON*!

‎"The scions of the Dark City would never admit that the unceasing hunger at their core is what drives them to such heights of cruelty. Instead they maintain that they act only upon their own desires. Some have even managed to convince themselves of this. In truth, unless our cousins in the webway feed upon a constant diet of extreme emotion they will slowly wither away, leaving naught but a soulless husk. We of the Craftworlds deny all such urges, and in doing so become less than ourselves. Perhaps it is those that we left to perish who are the lucky ones." - Spiritseer Iyanna Arienal, Meditations.

What we need now are scout upgrade sets to make the old style scouts; especially their heavy bolter... I loved that model!

Had a long chat with Simon Egan with regard to Space Wolf projects, Owen confirmed that Simon would be 'down to work on the wolf guard battle leader' which from Simon means the awesome piece of artwork in IA11, the WGBL is in terminator armour and is armed with a thunder hammer and stormshield, the artwork has a very strong and aggressive pose, which Simon said he'd like to replicate.

Aside from the WGBL Simon said he knew of no other Space Wolf models that were being produced, he stressed that time was a big issue at late and they have had to skip alot of projects they wanted to do, which is a shame.

Simon also showed me his WIP Salamanders Dreadnought, which is intended to be Braeth Ashmantle from the Badab War but is likely to be released as a generic venerable dreadnoguht for the salamanders with unique weaponry, the concept is that it is the fore-runner to the Iron Clad dreadnought and was designed by Vulkan. The model looked absolutely lovely so far, by far the best dreadnought they've produced to date in my humble opinion.

Sad about Swolves, and about FW being rushed.

Any idea why they are being rushed?

Maybe to start up the resin-instead-of-pewter models?

I only hope that the pre-heresy jump packs can be bought separately, or that the price for a squad isnt extortion...

Though, the new SM heavy Weapons poses are so much better than the static shoulder-balanced poses.

It said "time is an issue". I interpreted that as meaning they have more projects to complete than they have time for (much like the rest of us hobbyists), not that they are being rushed.

I know, I was just wondering what sort of timetable they are working on. Is it too many projects all of their own? Or are they being pulled in to the new resin-molding process for blisters?

IA 11 is looking to ship in Aug or Sept

Phantom titan is getting many more weapon options ( HtH) very soon, as well as the Warlock head. It will get the new weapons before the carapace weapons for the Reaver.

Work continues on the Warlord

I like the large sails on the raider. I wanted to make some large sails for mine back in October, but I couldn't figure out a good way to make them. This will save me the trouble.

But the sails look very WIP, they will certainly evolve.

I just like the forward placement. I think this could work well for a Vect-Raider with the throne... in the middle? Not sure about that part.
