The time has come to finally get some new models back on this blog! I've been out and bought reinforcements and started painting again. First up some assault terminators. I decided to keep the thunder hammer and storm shields because they just look cool. At the start of the blog I said this was my rule so I'm sticking to it. I know they aren't allowed game wise but I will just count them as power mauls and I will probably build some combi weapons and have them strapped to their backs at some point. In terms of converting I had to re position the arms as the generic poses are awful and static. I have used the panels I had spare from the dreadnoughts to extend the shields and I think they work, I used pieces of sprue to make the heads of the hammers more bulky as the standard ones look a little small in my opinion. I didn't do a very good job on the green stuff and will make more of an effort in future to make this look better. The civilian was another zombie with a nose and sleeves added. I wasn't sure whether to added an electric effect at the head of the hammer and try OSL what do you think? Anyway enough of the jibber jabber on to the pics. The pics aren't very good so I will try to get better ones later.

THREADSURECTION! After a long hiatus I hope to get back to painting The Collectors. The main reason I stopped was due to a very very very frustrating error whilst moving house....I lost the box containing Varlack, the assault marines and one of the dreads. Un be fething leavable. So that really took the wind out of my sails as those were the best models I have ever produced. However a year later I have been re-reading the thread and looking at the models I still have to paint and have decided to get back on the horse and re build them better than ever. So here is the progress on the counts as Forgefiend/Deamon Prince. I also have terminators. the chosen from DV, 5 tactical marines and a rhino to help restore my painting and converting mojo. May have an attempt at Varlack take 2 but since Im stuck in Vietnam I have limited parts to work with.

Great to see you back and giving more love to the Collectors. Progress on the DP looks great! Sorry for the lost box issue. Moving into a new place is what has my hobby time on hold right now too.

I remember seeing this thread a LONG time ago! I always enjoyed the idea behind this army. Sorry to hear you lost some of your troops, literally, but it's great to see you're making a comeback.
