It doesn't help that it was our first game since after the WD dex came out, and I'd been cackling - I mean that literally, as while describing how slaughterful they are, I would often burst into cackling laughter - around the house about how the DCAs were going to tear the Honor Guard apart in the few days prior to the game - in what little defense there is for me, when I say brutalizing, I mean marching across the field on foot while taking only 1-2 casualties, and then proceeding to kill unit after unit in one round of CC each.
My opponent in that game now plays Orks, and our last game was actually a draw with 0 objectives held by either side, and I didn't take Uriah or a Battle Conclave at all, but I did take Celestine, but only because I love the model and have had it since before the WD dex and had even used her frequently prior to its release.
Heh still forgivable As said least you know you did wrong *patpat* And in all honesty i do similar with a Niddy friend of mine. TBH i do it 'cus he says even Codex Marines are OP (he plays other wargames so *shrug* most things are off balance in comparison) where as i play GK (well established OP ). I dont use spam or auto-dreads, and we play fluff and fun anyway, but i still gloat and tease ("im sorry how many nids did ya just lose? really that many? hmmm seems im casualtyless still " for example.) But then i suppose its a limit to how much of an A**hat you can be to friends vs strangers.
Also dont believe em, hugs make the world go round =w= anythhing else is just herasy

I agree with Kaldor.
If it was me I wouldnt even have unpacked my army and just moved onto the next person. I don't ask people what army they are bringing to tailor mine to counter theres. I want to know just so I can prep my strategy and look up what are the highest value targets.
It was Vassal. There was no unpacking, it was pure tailoring. I stand by what I said.

lol yeah, turns out that THOSE artillery units are apoc units. The actual medusas hes supposed to use are not barrage at all. And all of them fire 1 shot. So 1 unit of three medusas fires 3 shots, not 3 apiece Also, he likes to randomly pick what source that the medusas come from Ive seen him use the IG dex meduas' with FW rules

Sooner or later, someone will play him and find to their dismay, a Leman Russ turning out to be a Malcador or Macharius tank that then proceeds to laugh off their shots before blasting their army from here to the golden gakhouse.

Toronto Grand Tournament, I think it was the 2001 event? Might have been 2000, but anyways.
This rather large, unwashed white guy on the 40k side of the event pulls out his 'Traitor Guard' army, and all his models are wearing white robes with pointy hoods and have three K's painted on them.
His opponent, who wasn't white, just looked on utterly shocked and you could see the anger rising as this complete tool just grined stupidly at him. Then this moron total hat actually has the audacity to tell his opponent, "hey look, my army is totally themed against you!" (along with a couple other words not allowed in any civilised conversation)
The GW staff at the event obviously told the racist jerk to pack up his crap and leave the event. They told him his name would be blacklisted so he would never be able to attend another GW run GT.
The next year saw another idiot who thought it would be a 'great idea' to model his IG army to look like an SS brigade, swatikas and all. A little imagination is all you need to figure out his 'theme' for his 'conscripts'.
Grown adults beating up on little kids is appauling and sickening to watch, but a part of me cries a bit inside when I see some racist smearing our hobby's image.
What a waste of models just to go get someone mad and then get blacklisted because of it. I don't understand why people will deliberately get people angry because they (generally) will be looking to get you back in the near future. In my opinion, people say they want a world with peace and some of them turn around and do this.

Let's see slow army against crazy fast army in a capture deployment type scenario. Multiple options:
Plod across the table and hope to get your stunties into the opposing zone to force a draw, or stay in your own deployment zone entirely and guarantee a draw? Exactly what is douchey about being tactically smart when facing an opponent that can run circles around you?

I was laughing too at the "themed against you" comment though that doesn't mean I support racism.
Sadly it's something I think the human race will never be without, always hate for one reason or another will start conflicts and even wars.
The ww2 German army is something I probably could see myself doing as well, though maybe without the swastika. The German army still performed admirably on many battlefields so I don't think banning them outright if done with moderation is the right thing to do.

I don't think anyone with half a brain would ever get upset over seeing an IG army modeled as a histroical WWII German force, as long as the hatefull stuff, (ie those swastikas & SS markings), are left off. Heck, I think most GT's seem to have an IG army show up that's modeled in such a fashion, be it German, Russian, American, etc... Never heard of anyone getting banned just for doing a historical force that's tastefull and not preaching hate!
But I'll admit I wanted I to beat the living crap out of the racist idiot who modeled his conscripts as concentration camp prisoners.

Oh, my friend. Metallifan has told me -all- sorts of crazy gak that goes on down in that arid little desert.
The manager of the local shop is a old timer. Once a young 12-13 year old boy with a Ork army would scream "Waaaagh" everytime he charged. One day the old man had enough, took his warboss, -covered- it in gloss and set it on a fan to dry quickly then gave it back to him. I don't condone obnoxious children. But if some fether touched my models. I'd pull a Varg Vikernes on him.
In a second case, same old timer, a 40k gamer comes in scowling saying magic gamers broke a model of his because he wouldn't move. Guy goes in and takes a zippo to the -entire- deck.
Take 'em with a grain of salt, but if it's true it's a miracle this shop still stands.
In a non-wargaming related note, a ex-boyfriend of my mom tried to break in, and I chased him away naked *I was in the shower* I guess a guy naked yelling at the top of his lungs is still a legitimate tactic to ensue fear into your enemies.
