It's this thing, where you do stuff, and it's all in 3D, but you don't need glasses to see it, unless you have the 'short sighted' affliction (-1 to LOS) It's a bit like World of Warcraft, only you can't kill anything and you don't get gold from NPCs (instead, there's this massive player driven economy where people trade in futures or something) There's also this thing called 'work' which is a bit like quests or gold grinding only harder and you only get money - you actually have to buy your reward from other players(!). Also, you can't respawn, unless you're on the 'buddism' religion track, in which case if you roll a 1 on your D20 respawn check (this can be affected by the status of your morality bar) then you respawn as a frog. Hi guys, DLS here as you no doubt know

Really sorry that I haven't had the time to come to this my most beloved darkened corner of the interwebs, but life has, as they say, insanely hectic. As you have all pointed out, it has been over a month since I last updated the DOTE storyline, and I feel genuinely bad about its dormancy. I love the DOTE and I definately haven't finished with it. I have actual three parts down and written (The Drawing of the Four, The ongoing SW vs UM saga and also a new section about a messianic figure appearing in the Tau Sept Worlds), but I am my most heinous critic and they aren't up to my usual standard that you all kindly expect. I've tried to sit down to edit them but it is a lengthy and aggravating process, but I am still here, I'm not dead and intered in a Golden Life-Support system just yet.

I've also been working manically as well. In good old Blighty, it has been tax-year end, and I happen to work for the Investment side of a bank, therefore this past month has been insane. Three weeks of late shift makes Seanron a very unhappy bunny. But it is starting to calm down now, and I'm starting to unwind and actually have time for stuff again.

The QOTPA has also been taking up a large swathe of my time as myself and fellow QOTPA-er Darren work on our website (which is taking longer than Duke Nukem Forever to bloody get out) and we also have our 100th Celebratory Video to get done for YouTube to coincide with the Websites launch. So busy busy buy there as well.

And finally, some news that you sexy and faithful folk may be interested in. The reason that my writing has stopped here is cause it has arisen elsewhere. I've had an offer from Black Library to pretty much show them what I can do in a proper format. I've also swapped a few e-mails with my master, My Lord and my God-Emperor the good Mr Dan Abnett for advice and critique, and he has adviced me to go for it with my all. I have sat writing like a daemon-possessed madman on a project that has become very close to my heart:

I am writing an actual novel of the 642 and their inception. Some changes have been made (it's actually during the regular 40K timeline for instance) but the Task-Force that you (and I) have come to love is all present and correct and now with some extra familiar and new faces. Can't go into too much detail, but I'm near the end of first-drafting, will do the second-draft review then maybe get a indipendent reading for a final draft then provide my potential overlords at BL the final draft. Here's hoping

But don't worry, I will post a proper update soon, I promise

First, looks like i have to finish my 642 boys ASAP!

holy....i think the 642 book may very well be the first actual 40k book i buy, just because of the sheer awesomeness of the fact that all of us here on dakkadakka got to see it born!
and btw, dibs on the first copy. i will drive a baneblade over anyone who tries to get it before me. and it will come out from behind a bookshelf.

but on a more serious note, congratulations my good sir. it's amazing that you may actually get paid to write this amazing work! as an aspiring writer myself.....can i ask for tips?
