No interior? That's a shame, won't you be able to see the bareness through the large windows though?

Would that not bother you?

Great work! Absolutely stunning, and if you're going about making some odd steam punkesque style Victorian buildings, for reference, why not check out some screenshots from the game Dishonored? Might be right up your street!

Removable roof would solve that issue Ghosty, and Dave is good at making such modifications.

Nope, roof is glued on, I have an idea for the windows later, will paint, then put them in.

Great product, Dave! Not only free, but double the size! I love the contrast between the brick and the tech doors and... are those AC units? I think I would have gone for a flat roof (maybe with some generators of comm equipment), just for the extra playability, but also great as is.

Will you be adding some crossbraces to your stair supports?

Too bad the roof is on... considering the interior could well have been plated steel for reinforcement, heat containment, protection and what not inside a generatorium. But man... You make great scenery!! I'm running out of hats to take off to you good sir. Keep it up!

Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

My modeling life has gotten much easier since I got my MiterMaster.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who works with plastic. It cuts straight through the thickness of CoD panels with ease too.

Still much more detail work to add. I've not decided whether or not the fire escape platform will be like this or instead given angled supports riveted to the brick wall. If the supports stay, they will have cross beams. There will be plenty more buildings with flat roofs and interiors. The air con units in the windows (cut from the CoD manufactorum panels) cover up any usefulness the windows may have had as fire points anyways. I could've done a lot differently with this building, but it is what it is now

Have to agree. Brick has been around for ever. It probably will be around for ever. Granted, not as part of the hive superstructure (because then the whole thing would collapse) but I can certainly see individual buildings within the hive been made out of brick. Especially in the underhive where there's plenty of sludge and sediment to make bricks out of.

Fantastic! Yes, some cross bracing for the platform would totally be the finishing touch on this masterpiece. Maybe an industrial light fixture near the side access door? I see you took the lamps off the front of the building?

It's amazing how great those building look when you start adding in all the details that real buildings would have, like air conditioners, Aquilas, heavy iron blast doors... lol

I second Dave on this, it really is a great tool indeed I bought it on a whim to be honest but turned out to be a real gem

Great work Dave and that lathe looks like it will be fun to build I gather no instructions were included then

Naa..REAL modelers go to the Instructions only as a last resort

You mean the trim grab bags?
Yeah, some cool stuff!

I got 2 bags, they seem to have identical matched pairs of everything each bag, same with the Window bags.
But I was sitting in a restaurant yesterday eating lunch, looking out the window across at commercial buildings that had all sorts of mixed style windows

Having extra bitz lying around for years is not a bad thing, like these, they get used eventually
