All I can see when looking at that building front is a very, very sad building.

I anthropomorphize things too much.

You should! -Then show us the pics

Speaking of inspiration at work, more grimdark research today:
Plenty of Flanges to be had here too, no nipple clamps though, sorry nerd

Some of the highly saturated color photos are very painterly looking. I think I've learned that I should use lighter base colors so I can add many other color washes, and I need to use crackle medium over rust basecoats as well.

That building is looking great, and these are some very sweet reference photos. They are so stylized, I almost thought they were digital work for some post apocalyptic video game. Now i seem to recall a building very much like this one on Discovery Channel with Bear Grylls running through it...

Fair point, now you mention the wiring it makes more sense Royal mail is no way efficient The post service is like playing the lottery you have a 1 in a million ( or more ) chance of getting your post

I have to say using that kit in this way has me sold on it and those sheets have potential, I looked at them myself but was not sure on the scale or detail but if it has the "Dave Seal of Approval" it is good enough for me.

That's so cool, i didn't ever think Victorian-esque brickwork could ever have a place in the 40k universe, but you've changed my mind on that one!

This is a pretty cool project. I need to take notes so that one day, when I create Stalingrad style terrain for my Valhallans to fight in, I'll be up to the task. Also... just to toot my own horn, here is my new WIP thread.

What colour will you be painting the brickwork? I personally think red brick looks wrong for Necromunda, it would be more likely they would use concrete type bricks or dark bricks (like these: http://thenickeninja.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/sector-04/). I think red bricks will look very anachronistic, like Ironhand's stuff even though it is awesome it doesn't look like it's from 40k.

I disagree, I think Ironhand's stuff is perfect. It looks ancient, which is the point in the underhive. That part of the Hive could be downtown Gary, Indiana of today in origin
I doubt kiln-fired earth will ever go out of use, since it's so plentiful.

But...I'm not sure about color..Now I will have to ponder it..

Soo many decisions in this project..
I think this needs to be the Generatorium.

I have decided NOT to do the interior. I don't have enough of that matching brick-pattern sheet to do it right.
..But I REALY wanted to!

oh man... that new direction of your terrain making is totally up my alley...as if you´ve had any doubt about it to hit bullseye with these... the brickwork looks stunning... those windows are simply awesome...and my special top favorte is that huge and sweet heavy looking door... since it is on the first floor....will there be walkways? i bet there will...

i tell no lie... i want to see a big sector of all these on one big table!!!

what will be next? flooring inside? i am eager to see where you take us with that one here!

No, I don't have enough of the matching brick sheet to do the interior the right way. Perhaps on a later building?
I have plans for at least a few more brick structures, supply drop inbound sometime next week
