That would be the whole theme childe.
A SW army, but alot more feral and bestial.
More towards the 13th company look.

So,
2 box's of TW cav.
2 box's of fen wolves.
2 box's of SW marines.
2 box's of beastmen.
Finecast thunderwolf lord.

Wont be as cheap as i'd have liked, but it will be a nice little project.
Want every model to have a wolfen face, so no helmets.
Plenty of unarmoured sections, maybe even the odd torso here and there.
Might go OTT on lightning claws too.

Must it be new? I just finished a Vulkan He'stan conversion I am quite proud of and don't want to rush my stormtalon gunship.

I take it the beastmen are for converting the SW's?

sounds like an awesome little project. I've been toying with a little project myself, largely because of me working on the Exorcist...

I'm going to rewrite at some stage the background story to include the Order of the Sacred Rose as well as Blood angels. But from a game point of view those armies will only be 750pts each.

I just felt it a shame to do all this work on the Exorcist for it to sit on my shelf unloved.

Yea, the size is spot on with a marine and the beastmen arms look the part, but might need a tiny bit more fur added on.
The beastmen heads are fine too, just cut off before the horms and use hair/fur to re-build the back of the head and it gives it a nice feral look.

Hmmm, i still need to find some rules for SoB.
Love repentia(sp?) and arco's, but never thought to tinker with a sisters list.
Could allways run them as part of your BA though?

There are SOB rules you know, they did them as a white dwarf official codex until they get round to their book. I managed to download a copy off of 4shared, so have a look if your interested. and I'm hardly going to sub an exorcist for a whirlwind when the exorcist has d6 s8 ap2 shots per turn

where is this painting competition? as i am all for it.. now about the unit, do i count 1 guard platoon ( which i wont as i have less than 10 guys ) as the one unit, or one unit from the platoon selection?

What is classed as legal ? And does it have to be 40K ?
I want to start a Chaos WH army of such but not following a list ( painting project ) will that count

I need the motivation what do I win

not done anything yesterday... but later on i will add a lick of paint to the lil fellas... yesterday was a workrelated happening and it left me knocked out... but i get into the saddle today again... by the way... what is the penalty or for that matter the gain for completing or the oposite of one unit in a week? are we talking kharma gain and loss here?

Right here in my thread, as it's something jackal came up with and I'm promoting it as a way for all of us to be motivated to paint!

A unit from the platoon would do, as a full platoon rangers from 25 to 120+models.

Legal = the minimum requirements to field said unit within the system it is from.

And nope, it doesn't have to be 40K or indeed GW stuff. In fact I encourage diversity within this friendly little competition!!!

Praise and Ridicule are your prize/punishment As I say its more of a friendly motivational competition to get us all pushing forward with our armies. As I for one am struggling with these damn Gaunts

Well, the next motivation week I will attend once I get the minis I need, mind you I will have to check whats legal as I don't play

RIDICULE we get that on a daily basis any way, full out violence might be a better approach …….. Ill get the bat

well i wouldn´t put too much stress on the legal part... if you get a certain fitting amount of minis chucked out i think it fully achieves the Praise and Ridicule part^^
