Yes, nowadays it's becoming more and more common to have role reversals like that.
Hell, my high school senior year we voted a flamboyantly gay black dude as our president.
I think we did that mostly to piss off the vice principle, who was such a douche.

Perhaps it's due to the fact that the initial subject mater is so broad that there is no real way to go "off topic.",in as much as every single post could be viewed by the "opposite gender" and "not understood" thus staying perfectly on topic.
...Or ...it could always be that the mods don't want to be bothered and are just hoping this thread will eventually die ....painfully.
