When I first saw this, you were about halfway through putting the clear resin on the framework. I thought to myself, this is going to be a mess...
Now that I have seen your skill with GS, I have totally revised my initial thoughts. I think you are well on track to pull off something fantastic and I'll be watching closely to see this one take shape.
I just wish I had the skill and vision to do something like this.

I didn't realize how huge it was until noticing that the model used for comparison in the pics is... a wraithlord!?

Help on the painting aspects is sincerely appreciated, I lack the experience to pull of an advanced paint-job with so much detail.
Looks can be quite deceiving when sculpting. My medium has varied from magma to the pit of hell, and my work shows this in it's flowing form. Take a rock from a pile and add two eyes... I seem to have made millions of dollars with my pet rock. The main issue with design is making it stick in YOUR mind by being "real". The GS is icing on the cake, don't take the previous steps for granted. Form before function, insanity, research and criticism throughout. A bit of OCD never hurt either.
Vision is through my senses, not through my experience. Perhaps this is cheesy, but jumping headfirst into a idea with no remorse is essential to a successful design. Break down your box and take a look at the inspirations of our time, most of which achieved quite menial tasks to gain such recognition.
I will post a bit more work in a few minutes.

I have been trying to incorporate horns into this design since I started. Stag horns, like Papa Nurgle. I have been looking through some conceptual artwork, and I found this image on my first try. Perhaps eyes like these would make the girls go wild?
This is not my art-work
These are mine

Thanks everyone.
I cut my finger on a bit of metal while moving some stuff around, so I am going to take a bit of a break. I doubt that GS is good for a cut.
Do most people think I need some more texture on the skin? My friend pointed out it was just a bit slap-dash. I was looking at some of the GUO models and the wounds are pretty "busy" if you ask me. I actually like the older one where he is sort of standing up and has a weird helmet with very simple wrinkled skin. Nightmarish, not realistic, I doubt I will see my little beasty in real life for a few reasons.
Rotting flesh (without going into too much detail) looks like mush, not carefully crafted individual sores. The infection spreads and the area becomes squishy and pus-like. Yeah... hmmm.

Hi Wrex
I think you can manage a lot in the paint job - nice patches of black necrotic flesh etc can deal with lack of in vogue Nurgle detail - especially for a model of that size!
They thought of fresh puss oozing over necrotic and plague ridden and rivven flesh is very tasty!

I covered my cut up and did my first layer of green stuff for the shoulder. I will need to get magnets as soon as I sort out my cash-flow this month.
Here is a visual tutorial on how to apply a thin layer of green stuff. I guarantee it will take some getting used to, but this stuff can be spread as thin as butter; simply amazing attributes. Spreading the GS takes a considerate amount of time, and getting a smooth coat on a detailed surface is next to impossible in one try.

Testing out some tentacles on the shoulder. I think something like this could look pretty good. At some point I will see how the GS responds to polishing, I have a few assorted dremel bits that may be able so smooth out some of my errors (oops a fingerprint ).

Most of the work I have done from my original concepts. I am looking through concept art and "inspirational" images to finalize my detail. I am not a particularly experienced painter, so I figure the more ridiculously un-paintable the better . I think I will be able to pull a decent paintjob off, but I am going to test a bunch of techniques on the model before I get to that stage.

I modified the shoulder, mainly because the first tentacle was bugging me. This one has a lot more consistency and flow.
Did a bit more work on the hand as well.
Added some WIP photos at the bottom.
The only problem I have had with the GS so far is getting rid of the seams between layers. I can't seem to get rid of the tiny ridges where I have added more GS. Having never ran into this problem with clay before, I am a bit stumped as to fix this w/o spending hours polishing with the dremel.

Thanks guys, I am posting some pics using solar power . I had to wait for clouds to pass over head at a snails pace, so I could get clear photos. Most of my recent photos have been altered to show the detail using a freeware program called Gimp. It is called Gimp because it is the tiny Tim of the Photo-shop world; I have nothing but good things to say about this program, totally worth looking into.

You know what this guy reminds me of now? A Toxic Avenger Kermit the frog... .
On that note, has anyone dry-heaved when looking at this yet? That is my goal after all .
Started work on a spine, the back looked a bit thin. I wanted to get some brown stuff for bone work, but I will just have to deal with the GS; it doesn't want to make nice crisp edges. I will have to look at this with a night or twos sleep, I think I have spent around 12 hours doing GS over the past few days. I am pretty much done with everything besides the stomach/s and the really fine detail, so far I have used close to 1 1/2 full containers. I will no doubt be ordering some more from a better site in the future. Gaddam this last order isn't even done, come to think of it... I need some sort of long distance poking machine, covered in something smelly and noticeable. That should get their attention... why does this take so long.
Enough ranting, now pictures.
