Hes not a preheresy fallen or his armor would be black. He's at this point in time still a loyalist in fact. And hes going to be more of a renegade than a for the dark gods chaos guy too. At Vracks though he is still a loyalist. When I get done with my back story I'll share. I'm building a fluff heavy rules be damned Renegade Inquisitor and retinue and He's going to be one of the warrior henchmen. And thanks guys I can't wait to get him done and also I'm painting all the greatcoats now.

Sweet-sauce! Kinda new to Dakka, so I hadn't seen your renaissance Marines before spotting this P&M Blog, and holy f**k-bucket, that's some hardcore freehand! Given that in mind, what you initially set out to do with these Kriegers and the start on the mounted commissar and tanks, I'm rocking on my chair in expectancy of updates on this.

I really like how the Vendettas break apart from the army armor colouring, but retain the same... aura about them, so to speak. You gotta give us some cockpit shots when you're done wif 'em. Also, really looking forward to seeing your troopers once you get time to re-devote yourself.

The Kriegers look great, but I'm hard pressed to imagine something that suits them that's something original. I saw something on here a while ago with some sort of rusty-orange and blue scheme that looked nice. Other than that, it's mostly the grey/black/dark green mudcakes that so defines them. I'm really excited to see which direction you'll take with them as I'm sure it'll be something I haven't seen before.

Sorry to hear you weren't able to keep to your schedule. Terribly rude of the world not to stop and gawk in awe at inspirational wargaming hobbyist work like yours. You were on a deadline here! Geez...

Don't know how I missed this blog, glad I found it.

I started an IG army back before Christmas, Cadian's were naturally what I bought. I haven't really had any desire to paint their boring and overplayed appearance. This and a fair few other DKoK threads have inspired me to trade in my cheap boring guys and head straight for their expensive and far more appealing counter parts.

aw man this just makes me want to get an elysian army up and running (i have 9 dudes and 3 heavy bolter teams as a starter thing), but i would rather spend my money on more models on the table =/ (35 quid for 10 elysians when i can buy 30 cadians.) anyway good luck with the project, most excellent work!

So I haven't had an update since March.. :p So I think its about time for an update. I have fully painted all the infantry minus my original test model to pick out my color scheme. I'm not good at planning apparently. The Pictures aren't the best of quality and I apologize for that. The room I took the pictures in is rather dark. Any who. I give you pictures!

I can promise there is much more detail than is showing and the colors are not true to life either but a little bit of proof that I have done something to this project. I hope to finish up some vehicles soon and will probably re photograph the entire army when completed.

I've stopped painting on the DKOK's for a number of reasons. I now only have a month to finish up the army and should be going at it strong once again.

however, it is strange that you have so many valks, vendettas and hydras. on vraks, the death korps didnt have any (or at least very few) of those, since air support isnt really needed or useful in trench warfare and the renegades didnt have planes thus no need for hydras.

just a fluff point, is all.
