This is a bet I'd never take. Better behaved, yes. Smarter, ooooh, I don't know about that. My buddy has a theory that the kids here are so over-stimulated with everything that they can't remember anything. But, I've seen their textbooks for all subjects and they are basically comic books. The "book" I have to use is something out of Fahrenheit 451.

I just had to watch Paris Hilton's new show "my Best british friend" on the TV guide channel playing in the background as I was waiting to find out what was scrolling by the menu that I wanted to watch. I couldn't get away from it, since the show is on in the background of the very channel you go to to FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO WATCH... so she has her token gay guy and a bunch of retarder fashion junkies and she puts them through weekly tests to see who gets knocked off the show, and she can't stop saying what is "hot" or "not hot" about anything. errrrrg... i just wanted to find out if xfiles or something was on...

Unlike OP , i never had any hope in our society to start with.

The whole world is suffering for different reasons.

Majority of us turn a blind eye to what we dont want to see. Instead of reaching out to help, we look the other way so we wont be burdened with inconvenience.

We would rather put others in misery to make sure our way of life remain at our favorable level.

When we are little , we have all questioned about these suffering around us haven't we? Yet we "grow" up masking all the wrong doings as long as we have money and power.

Sure having money and power we can live warmly and without going to bed hungry , but at what cost? Humans have long lost sight of what we deserve and just wanted more and more.

Humans fight and bicker just for the sake of ego. What exactly do you accomplish, what have you gain from such action. Better yet , do you realize what you have lost during the process?

We grow up , we are supposed to grow thicker skin so the pain and suffering wont effect us as much?

You are wrong. Growing thicker skin doesn't make us tolerant against pain , it just dulls our sensations. What are we? if we lose what it is to be a human?

Considering, Luna, that we are experiencing arguably one of the most peaceful periods in the history of humanity, we're not doing all that bad. Sure, the potential for us to stuff ourselves up with Nuclear Weapons is there, but is not as likely as many might think.

I for one think Humanity is on a high. Whether this is due to our newfound, and possibly destructive, addiction to some form of illicit drug or other is still to be decided.

It certainly isn't becuase of anime. Or is it?

I'm not sure that's really true, because I try my best to avoid as much physical fights as I can and control my anger (and I'm sure others do, too). Sure I've gotten into a few scraps in my life but it's gradually decreased over

the years to almost none. I find people to be unpredictable, one moment they make me happy, next moment they piss me off but no one pisses me off permanently that I feel I need to be enemies with them (In other words I'm very

forgiving even if it's not always the smartest thing to do). I'm also in a state of mind where I don't hold grudges anymore as I feel it causes unnecessary stress and rage.
