Manslaughter?

A frightening number of people are killed by only 1 punch, or severely injured for life. I greatly hope he found out what happened to the guy and/or called an ambulance for him at the very least.

Yeah so, I was engaged to this very pretty and sexy woman with a phd in chem. I came home to see all of my 40k armies being melted down in the fire pit (all {15} of them, painted and the lowest around 5k points) and my birth certificate and my passport and my diplomas and my childhood pictures and my tax returns for the last 10 years and the titles to my cars and ...

Yeah, that was a very bad day. The next day she tried to kill herself.

He my have been right to be that angry, I think I was prretty dismissive of it since it was his tosser mate that pushed me but mostly it was because I saw no value in the drumkit and dissmissed it out of hand.

The ladies might tolerate the hobby but i'll wager few hold much value in it, especially since we tend not to tell them how much we spent on ickle plastic figgies.

Not really but its the principle of the action... knowing i like them and still going and ruining them. its kind of like smashing an xbox because she hates it... both require decent sums of money to purchase and thus destroying them shows me she's not the girl for me

Since I don't have any mini horror stories, I'll share one of my other collectable horror stories.

I collected comics when I was a kid. This was during the late 70s, early 80's. I collected a number of titles that I thought were "awesome" including the Xmen, Conan (B&W Marvel version), The original Ninja Turtles (B&W), MoonKnight, Spiderman, Etc..

Fast forward twenty five years, and they are all packed up in the storage shed behind the house in a locked chest. I was keeping them because I thought either I could give them to MY kids when I have some, or if they didn't seem interested, I could sell the lot for a few bucks to add to the college fund.

Last time I went home, I thought I'd give them a look, to see how things were holding up, and they are gone. The whole chest was gone.

I mentioned it to my dad, who had never said a word to me about it before that day. Turns out, my herion addict brother who literally lives in a shack out in the woods, had taken them, and...you guessed it...sold them for herion.

As if I already had enough reasons to never speak to him again.

Lesson learned though. Never store anything I want to keep back home.

I just remembered that back in the day (read early 90s) a friend and I played a 250 point game of 40k with "fireplace rules". That is to say that if your guy died in game he went into the pit, never to be seen from again. After that fateful game I converted an eldar phantom titan from epic to represent my Kingsford (a brand of charcoal) Clan Eldar. The titan had a little chefs hat, a BBQ fork in his close combat fist, and half of a foam ball stuck into his pulsar painted like a BBQ pit. Those were the days.

THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!!!

i had a little discussion about "hobby spaces" with my brother.
We were 20 (me) and 18 (him) ,and usually everything ended with some fight. That day,i throw his softair stuff from the 3th floor of my house directly in the garden.
He used a baseball bat that we had (called "the argument") on my Ultrasmurfs.

EDIT:single swing.i stoped him before the second, but damage was done on Rhinos & OOP devastators.

That day i started imperial guard.

I have had several incidents with my models over the years with my daughter...

My first Valkyrie has gone through some acrobatics from when my daughter was 3. I just gotten it painted up and left it at my computer desk and I went into my bedroom to get ready for guests. She decided it would be nice if she would show it around the house to everyone. So, she picked it up went around the living room and then she made it to the bedroom and tripped with it right in from of me and it flew about a don't know about 3 feet. One of the wings came off. I fixed it later tho so I guess it was alright.

Another incident was with one of my IG sentinels. I just gotten it painted up and was happy with it. Well when I was taking a break and watching TV. Somehow she managed to get into my paints and decided one part of it needed to be blood red.

She seems to like the color red because she also painted a completely built HWT (unprimed tho) blood red as well once too.

Of course I got a little angry with her when she got into my things, but I get over it cause I love her and all. She also likes to build and paint with daddy so it's all fine with me.

I've had 2 figures become dog treats but puppies eat everything. I ended up getting rid of the puppy because he was getting to aggressive with my daughter tho.

...and to TBH I do worry sometimes my girlfriend will break my models sometimes with some of the fights we have.

Years ago my girlfriend got pissed at me and threatened my model planes. I told her I'd do to her whatever she did to my models. After she set my 1/72 scale Stuka on fire I kidnapped her from a bar, tied her up in my basement and...

Actually, I shouldn't say that story, it happened to the wrong kind of model. You mean wargaming models, right?

I frequently break my orks as I transport them. I'm kind of cheap and I carry 3000 points of orks, including a stompa in a small carrier and a reusable grocery bag. Little dids and doodads come off but oh well, I've got lots of glue and it's orky to fall apart and get put back together. The worst fall-apart I had was when the stompa's gun came off. You can still see the shiny blob of dried glue if you look hard enough

As for models that she owns, she left a new Finecast Canis Wolfborn that I gave her as a gift bounce around her car's trunk for a few weeks. When I found it it was missing the tail and all of the wolf claws. Now it looks like a weird bear with a dual powerfist marine riding it.

I forgot one of my old ones-a gf three years ago put her feet on my coffe table and kicked all my converted plaguebearers onto the floor. No apology. I called her out on her lack of respect for my stuff (she did it again on the dresser with her perfume bottles, knocking my stuff over behind the dresser) and she flipped out about how she was such a disrespectful person and didn't deserve to have anyone and threatened to go cut herself (pretty sure she actually did-on her legs). The models were only a small part of leaving her...did I mention she was certifiable??

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
