I had a lone Termagant some how manage to find it's way on to my couch from my work station (must have been scouting for biomasss). I only discovered that it was there when my girlfriend got up to answer the phone. She didn't know that she was sitting on it, (not sure how.. I mean, wouldn't you notice something like that?) she felt terrible about it and apologized but it really wasn't a big deal. He took no real damage besides the ankle had nearly severed, making him resemble a motorcycle that was laying down during cornering. Other than that just some of the glue bonds broke.

A friend and I were playing apocolypse, the first game I got to field the stompa that I had recently assembled. On occasion, we drink tequila while we play. The stompa performed like a champ, psycho dakka blasting a large number of his bloodthirsters and pretty much winning me the game. Afterwards, as I'm loading orks into the trunk of my car, I hear what can only be the sound of my stompa bouncing off of his porch steps (large, hollow plastic models make a distinct sound when hitting concrete). He had attempted to balance the stompa on a box he was carrying... I guess it fell off as he got to the stairs. Needless to say we almost found all the pieces, although it was dark out, nothing more glue couldn't fix. We've had many games since then where I've threatened to punt his models across the lawn

A couple of years back I had just put the final touches on a brand new pre-release box set of the fellowship of the ring kit, that was for a special GW painting competition. I come home from school to not only find that every single model i had just painted was now given a nice ink wash of gryphone sepia ink. My entire 2k darkangels army was also inkwashed and smashed into millions of tiny pieces. Apparently my sister was babysitting one of her friends dogs, and it just happened to be a 150+ pound st bernard, that was also diabetic.... Some how she neglected to give it its appropriate medication and it had an epic meltdown ... which resulted in it some how breaking through my bedroom door then jumping about on my painting desk and destroying everything i had, including eating 3 bottles of ink ( that can't be healthy) the dog owner felt bad so she gave me 10$ .......

Not my wife, but my small ones!
2 boys, 5 & 3.
1 girl, 20m.

They all love to play with my armors, my IG army. My boys like to watch my while I paint or convert or build. I have to Lemans that I am building. I am almost done with them, I get home from work and they are out with broken turrets or what ever. My Vendetta has incured the skills of my daughter. It has been under her walker, with a wing here and there, guns over there, landing gear yonder, etc etc.

Good thing for Krazy Glue!

After priming a lot of fire warriors 24 or so. My wife put them out side because it was a nice sunny day, our dogs must have thought they were cool and knocked them off the table she had set them on, I was only able to ever find 4 of them.

nothing, my wife and I have a solid understanding in regards to my models. half the stuff within arms reach is commission work anyways, so she never touches anything.

Had a feller wave a knife in my face because I accidently put a dent in his drum kit (I was pished at a party and got pushed onto it).

He my have been right to be that angry, I think I was prretty dismissive of it since it was his tosser mate that pushed me but mostly it was because I saw no value in the drumkit and dissmissed it out of hand.

The ladies might tolerate the hobby but i'll wager few hold much value in it, especially since we tend not to tell them how much we spent on ickle plastic figgies.

Considering a piece of the drum kit likely costs more than most people's entire armies, yes, he was right to be more than a little annoyed (skins can range from $40 to $200 depending how serious they are which I'm assuming you dented, the actual kit part itself could vary from $40 second hand into the thousands for 1 piece).

Some serious psychos in this thread though, anyone that does violence when they're angry is someone you want to get some help for.

No discernible relationships to speak of yet, mostly due to the fact I don't actively seek them (not because I think I'd fail, I'm just like that. Been the same with mates too. Maybe because during primary school my best friends for 7 years in a row literally moved interstate after a year, every single one, so I figured 'ahh screw it'). Worst that's happened to my minis is school self 8 years ago doing a horrible job on my crons Although I am quickly rectifying that as I recently got back into W40k (coincidentally the same month the newcrons came out without me realising!)

Some of you guys have had insane women in your lives...

The worst i had was i was gluing some necron warriors together and they were on the coffee table drying when she moved one of them to make room for her glass of water and the torso fell off the legs. She was mortified and thought she completely ruined it and couldnt stop appologizing... I should have probably milked her apology more but i just laughed and reset the model and let it dry since it was plastic glue.

Think she knows better than to touch my computer, models, tv or xbox cause i wouldnt put up with a tantrum like that if she wrecked my models and id just kick her out

My fiance is the kind of girl that likes geeky things. I got her playing Magic with me, and she regularly beats me in games. Warhammer, she isn't so into. She likes how it looks but doesn't understand what's going on when I play despite my explanations. Anyway, she made an effort to try and share the hobby with me by greenstuffing some "snakes" to my weirdboy model to make him into Zogwort because I'd been talking about converting him.

Let's just say that she's an amazing girl, but she isn't very artistically inclined. Anyway, I still used the model in a few recent games. I got questions and guys laughing at it, but I'm oddly proud of the badly sculpted serpents.

My girlfriend is perfect. Never thought I'd say that about a girl, but there is no better term. Shes known I love 40k from the start, and she actually really seems to like chaos. All I really do is chaos (or CSM pre-heresy) anyhow. Shes even got her own small army of CSM now. I hate it when she paints them because shes in college for art, and honestly is the best damn artist I know, so naturaly anything she touches is far better than anything I could do. As far as worst things.. uuuh My cousin dropped my Ultraforge Greater Wardemon (I think thats what the notabloodthirster is called) and his arms popped off, but an easy fix. And you guys really need to realise that girls breaking your stuff to get back at you is a very bad sign. I've been in a really bad relationship before, and yeah it starts off small like that, but it will only get worse.

I just remembered. A certain girlfriend of mine bought me an Epidemius for my birthday a few months after I sold my Nurgle Daemon army. It's still sitting in my closet, and I'm debating what to do with it. I'm thinking he could be a Beast of Nurgle for BB that I could splash with my chaos team, if I can just find a way to get him to fit on the small base.... I really appreciated the thought and that she was paying attention to what I did fwiw.

my girlfriend is pretty cool with the 40k thing. She calls me her "adorable little nerd" and puts up with all my shenanigans. Really the worst I have to deal with is from my parents and siblings who to this day call it "toehammer" for god knows what reason.

Worst thing: Well, nothing, we have been married 11+ years so, she doesn't mess with them at all. Now, most interesting, can't go there without getting too graphic or lewd.

This wasn't a friend, but someone I met on the street. My local gaming store at the time was only two doors down from a bar. This was in a college town, right off of campus. As we were leaving the store one night a semi-drunk trio of idiots began to taunt us. One thought it would be funny to kick my large tackelbox of Chaos Marines out of my hands.

Needless to say, attempting to ruin thousands of dollars of property of a 6'5" tall, 300 pound guy with 8 guys backing him up is NOT a good idea. Is soon as I saw what had happened I flipped out and acted in violence for the only time in my adult life. I threw one punch, which by some miracle caught the guy in the temple and knocked him out.

I freeked out and got the heck out of the area. About five minutes later while drving in my car I looked over at my friend and came tot he shocking realization that I had just one-punch KOed a guy.

Holy crap...I had no idea women could be so crazy and destructive when it come to little models and their owners. I don't know if I want a gf anymore!

I had a couple of friends over and one of them (the fat one) accidentally sat of my Deff Dred that I had painted up for a contest a couple of weekends ago (it got 1st place ). It is okay now.

PM me if you want me to draw anything related to Warhmmer 40k. I will put it in my gallery for all to see.

This is one scary thread. When i was in my teens and i had a really nice collection of citadel fantasty minatures (the early 80's). My whole collection and paints were given away by my brother to his girlfriends brother. I can only assume it was so failed atempt to progess his relationship to the next stage... I never got them back either and he didnt get to the next stage with her

These days its just the cats stealing them away and my clumsiness.... Oh they drink the paint water too.

What is it with cats and paintwater anyway? If I forget to empty that out, later, I have to clean up what ever water got spilled.
