Christ, WTF did you do to make your mom lose it like that? If you didn't do anything, then you might want to talk to someone in a position to help you because your mom has anger issues.

Also, the worst thing that ever happened to my army, was getting my ass handed to me against some Necron Destroyer Spam. Aside from that, I keep a close guard on them.

However, my dad did throw away my entire collection of first gen Transformers and Voltron away when I left for school. That stung a little.

This.

I have to wonder where you people meet these girls. Then I have to wonder how you let them so far into your life that they have knowledge of and access to your stuff before you know then well enough to have discovered how crazy they are.

I would LOVE to know her side of the story. I'm achingly curious to know what actions had occurred that day to inspire her to believe that much destruction was an appropriate action. Either she's crazy or you were a very bad boy.

Needless to say i refused, because I knew she'd just spend it on 'haunted' internet dolls...
It took me about two weeks to ffind a place to live, and when I went over to collect my belongings they were all sold...
Hurt me more than the breakup did... My SM, my Jade Falcon Lances, my Necromunda gangs... all gone.
But it can always get worse... She refuses to let mesee the little one too...

Sorry dude, just trying to figure out where the its your fault....
Nope nothing. Shoulda said

Worst that happened to me was my cat knocked off my freshly painted metzl Njal Stormcaller and finecast Astaroth (painted as a wolf lord). Astaroth's axe snapped half way which was a pain to glue again and Njal's raven broke off which was pretty easy to fix. Also i got pretty angry once and threw my freshly painted dreadnought at my wardobe and it smashed and I lost its leg.

Several years ago, an ex girlfriend raged at me for spending $150 on a Warriors of Chaos battalion for my new army. She said that it was a waste of money to spend on little plastic toys that are for little kids.

Coming from the girl who it was nothing for her to spend $175 on one card for her YuGiOh! deck. She did not play the game, just had a deck.

Needless to say - we're no longer together

This thread is filled with weird stuff. I don't understand why one would stay with a person who is willing to break things intentionally when angry. Though I certainly don't understand willingness to use violence if that were to happen to ones own models either.

I have only two things that come to my mind.

First was rather longer time ago while I was still living with my mom. My older sister and some other people were visiting while I was away and she (doesn't really know anything about gaming) gave some of my "toy tanks" for playing for kids. Luckily my mom noticed it a little later and picked them straight away from kids. There wasn't much damage done, merely little gluing.

Second was then my paint pots where in drawer where I keep my "currently being painted" stuff (easily accessible). I come home from work and my wife tells my that our daughter got hold of them and painted a lot of stuff pink, including her fingers and face. Lesson learned. First, keep the paints out of 3 year olds reach. Second, teach where you cannot stick your hands if daddy isn't around.

This thread is abou the worst thing that has happened to your models. This, clearly, is awesome.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

About 8 years ago I had been painting a Gargantuan Squiggoth. I was working on it for about a month. I had just finished his face. My wife was mad at me for something I can't recall. but she took black spray primer, and blasted the face.

I came downstairs and was all set to work on the rest of the model and I saw this dark side of the moon on his face. It took me 8 hours to fix that.

I'd probably be in jail right now if she was home when I discovered what she did. Joking. And yes we are still married. :(

Club me. Ain't I cute?

No offence is meant but I'm surprised you married her after that, personally I'd have taken that to be a slap in my face and would have removed her from my life. Doing that sort of damage to something which took so long would make me very piffed off.

Or we take our toys too seriously Duce......?

Had a feller wave a knife in my face because I accidently put a dent in his drum kit (I was pished at a party and got pushed onto it).

He my have been right to be that angry, I think I was prretty dismissive of it since it was his tosser mate that pushed me but mostly it was because I saw no value in the drumkit and dissmissed it out of hand.

The ladies might tolerate the hobby but i'll wager few hold much value in it, especially since we tend not to tell them how much we spent on ickle plastic figgies.

Women (and men too for that matter) who respond to conflict in this manner, in my opinion, are displaying tendencies that will eventually impact every aspect of your life with them.
Essentially what I'm seeing are people who have no respect for another's property. No investment in the happiness or well being of their relationships, and a level of casual amorality usually associated with mildly psychotic personalities.
Continuing to be with someone like that is bad decision making.
Unless, of course, you yourself are similar in personality, in which case, you more or less are perfect for each other.
If it were me, I'd pack my stuff the same day, and never speak to that person again.

I suspect most of these people are children who are still too stupid to know any better.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

My roommates went to a great amount of effort take all 60 of my fire-warriors and a dozen vespids and put them in individual icecube sized jello molds! Also a hammerhead in a cake sized jello mold.

Aside from a few lost helmet antenna and a new paint job needed on the vespid, the damage was minimal.
