Cool, ok. Was just wondering if you used quickshade on them and if you'd found the same problem I had. No probs. Nice work also Loki, by the way.

To be fair, I did consider dipping along the way. I'm a lazy, slow painter. I just couldn't bring myself to do it to Infinity models.

Progress was made even further on the Muyib last night - all colours are blocked in and touched up. It'll be getting its bath tonight, and hopefully even real work started on it.

I did make the short term pledge, I just dont have a photo of them.

In the mean time here is a pic of all my Line Kazaks, 8 of them were painted in the last week.

There are:

9 Rifles
2 LGL
2 Snipers
2 Missile Launchers
3 AP HMGs
All of that comes to 288|8

Edit: added a bigger picture

@ Nerm - you must be looking forward to the kazak sectorial coming out!?

...I get having a variety of weapons to pick from in multiples, but 9 rifles? Were you planning the start of a 40k army here?

Don't discount the rifles.
I used 9 rifles to great effect against a friend's TAG in ARO once (he shot at my APHMG model) because he wanted it dead.

4 crits later, his TAG was little more than scrap.

HMG died, but his sacrifice inspired his brothers to greater acts.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Short answer: because i can

Long answer: because i like to field themed armies, whether it it a kazak swarm or a more elite force. Variety adds freshness to the game. I would get bored without the choices that having so many models gives me.

I didnt actually go out and buy three packs on line kazaks. I bought the original 4 to use for Inquisitor 28mm back in 2007-2008 and the newer ones i got mostly when people were selling on a whole bunch of stuff and they were just included.

If you take issue with 9 rifle kazaks then I probably shouldnt mention my 8 Tankhunters

That's awesome Nerm!

With your short pledge, did you come back and confirm you'd completed it? If I don't get confirmation within a reasonable amount of time I just assume it wasn't completed.

Nah I didn't confirm it. I will remember to let you know in the future

No worries, it's just the best way to do things from my point of view. I don't require photographic proof or anything, just dropping by to confirm is enough. Of course we all like to see pretty pictures if you have them.

whoa, not "taking issue" here at all, just wondering
Would probably be an intriguing army to play against, that kazak swarm - meta around here doesn't really see much of anything in the way of swarm lists which might be why I'm taken aback by such an amount of minis

Oh, and in the way of pledges: I pledge to finish my still mostly black Charontid and at least my two PanO Palbots this week. With luck I might add an auxbot to that.

Pledge added Bolo, good luck.

Anyone else? The list is looking a little sparser than I like to see it.

I pledge to put together, base and greenstuff my 8 Galwegians by this Sunday. If I get some paint on them then thats a bonus

Well, that's one Charontid done. Good lord that idea to gradually highlight black up all the way to white (which can be really cool) might be a bit out of my league yet, patience-wise Still, good enough to do the rest like this. just need to get the purple highlights a bit less saturated.

Good man Nerm, added your pledge now.

Your Charontid looks really nice Bolo! That's a nice scheme you've chosen, very high contrast, Tron style and the purple is a nice compliment.

Yeah, I figured even the original charlntid might be a real nice figure in colors which did not suggest "technically supremely executed fingerpaints" as does the official paintjob

This one?

It's not my favourite colour scheme but I think it's beautifully executed...

Yup that's what I said: beautifully executed horrible scheme which honestly had me completely turned off of the model until I actually held it in hand

Haha, okay fair enough. My issue with it is actually the model, it's far too clunky for my tastes.

Heh, fair 'nuff. It is bulkier than much of the EI stuff is, that's true. However, have you ever played around with one a bit? It's really more elegant in the flesh than I'd have thought. The gun arm is the only really bulky bit (If I'd gotten my drones before priming the Charontid I probably would have replaced a significant amount of that arm with a drone weapon!)

No I must admit I haven't held one, maybe I'd feel different.

The original paintjob reminds in a bad way of 2nd edition 40k.

Bang on, that's a much nicer way of putting it

 Casey's Law wrote:

You probably would. aside from the fething huge gun arm it's really almost elegant.

And that's my palbots, complete with the doc they'll be serving. Just heard SW wave two will be shipping in a few weeks so the (cheesecakey beyond my usual limits but hey, free and quite characterful!) engineer model is en route too.
...Oh god, I did kind of mention "maybe an auxbot", didn't I? Well, new pledge time. Make that an auxbot, a peacemaker and a sierra dronbot over the next seven days.

I actually got some work done on my Muyib. Got the ink bath done, and started layering the green, and finished the highlighting of the green on the helmet. Hopefully tonight I can get the green finished off and the fatigues started. If so, I might be able to finish the model off before the weekend, and get started on the second Nasmat (and maybe even get around to stripping the last Ghulam and Fiday).

Hey all!

As Casey suggested to me when I visited his blog, I am here for some help with getting my butt in gear. I have a bunch of Infinity product here that I would like to one day see converted from 'still in packaging' to fully completed, maybe even including paint!

I guess to get started, the first thing I am going to do is get a P&M blog up of my own, so in case I ever finish anything I'll have someplace to document it.

I'm not sure if 'make a plog' counts as a pledge, but I'm aiming to have it finished within 24hrs anyways.

Good job, Bolo, I love to see an early pledge completion. I'm a last minute sort of guy! I've added your new pledge to replace it.

Making a blog is a good pledge in my books Michael! Anything that motivates us fits here nicely. I've added you in for tomorrow, hope this gets the ball rolling for you and we see some pretty miniatures soon!

I'm looking forward to your pledge Loki, sounds like your making quicker progress than you anticipated too! I don't suppose making the pledge has affected your motivation for the better?

Don't get too excited. Last time I made a pledge on the Infinity boards and all I ended up completing was my Al Hawwa.

I tend to burn out on Infinity figs after one model due to the level of detail. But my main motivation right now is my friend and I are actually playing Infinity next time we do some gaming rather than 40k, and I want to have a fully painted force.

Mmmmm OK. So I pledge to paint and photograph 1 model per day until the whole of my new order from CB is painted up?
