I will (hopefully) be playing my first real game this coming Monday. Just a quick game or two using 150 point newbie-lists. I hope to learn some tips and tricks with different unit types.

In honor of reaching my new title of Ultraviolent Morlock I pledge to finish cleaning, assembling, and basing my Die Morlock Gruppen box, so that I might use them come Monday.

Just made a quick list (no clue if it is good or not), but in any case, I will need to finish assembling at least 4 Morlocks, 4 Uberfall Kommandos, and the 2 Sin-Eaters. So that is my Pledge, 10 models moved from Stage 2 to Stage 3 in my blog by Monday.

You can do it mate! If you feel your focus waining use the community to your advantage, the pledging thread for motivation and the showcase thread for blog traffic. Good luck!

Haha, nice one, that's a big pledge, what date should I put on that and how many miniatures is it in total?

I'll add it now, good luck!

Ended up not working today so I assembled, based and green stuffed my 8 Galwegians.

Next pledge is to paint all my volunteers and metros by Sunday. 3 volunteers and 4 metros

I didn't get as much done this weekend as I'd have liked, mostly because I spend Saturday running around doing stuff for my home loan, and spent most of today playing Guild Wars 2 (she's a harsh mistress).

I did, however, get all of the green on my Muyib layered, and I'll do the highlighting tonight and hopefully get started on the fatigues.

Great job, lads! Yet again this darn pledge alludes me. I got distracted by another competition. I'm almost there though so I'll repledge it one last time.

Off to update now...

Really nice. The bases look great too. What do you use for the grass tufts?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also, a quick spray of matt varnish would do wonders here. Particularly for the highlanders. All looks good though.

Yeah, I am planning to use matt varnish but the weather here is way too cold for spraying. I'm basically getting everything to that stage then once the weather gets warmer they will be truly finished.

The tufts are the 6mm tufts form army painter? I'm waiting for varnish before I add the tufts

Must be this thread, because I haven't been this motivated on a fig in ages. Muyibs armour and fatigues finished, working on the visor (yellow is such a bitch).

After the visor, it's mostly touching up, and a little bit of work on the gun, then basing.

I'm used to repeated layering (thanks Tyranids). So I'll just stick to it. I like the look with a yellow visor.

Just helmet visors. I already did one Muyib like that already and I liked the end result, so I'll stick with it.

My pledge is to paint my Intruder, Hellcats, or the female Wildcat since the male Wildcat is annoying the heck out of me.

The Hellcat with Boarding Shotgun is getting some love today though.

Spent more time last night meeting with people about my house, but I got some painting done. Another layer on the Muyibs visor done, all touch ups done, started on the rock he's got his foot on. Only just noticed there's a lizard on that rock.

Tonight hopefully I can finish it off. Metallics on the gun, highlight the visor, finish the rock, paint the lizard (I'm thinking purple/pink for some variety).

Hey Casey, hate to do this but ummm, well I sorta got a little over ambitious and forgot that in order to paint my models 1 -2 a day and take pictures of them. That I must first actually have the models in my possession. My big-o-box from CB won't be here till maybe Friday or Saturday so I'm forced to postpone my pledge. D:

Finished all this in time for my first game this evening. Although I only played one game and ended up using only a single model from the 10 I pledged to complete. And that was as a proxy for an HMG version

I was very pleased with the way the Morlocks turned out, but the Uberfallen were very frustrating to say the least. I actually still do not have the tails on the pupniks, going to have to buy some smaller drill bits first methinks.

But still, happy to get some models built and very proud to finally lose my Infinity virginity! Resulting in a win no less!

Started a public blog rather than my one in the DCM forum which was sporadically updated.

Got some more work done on the Hellcat but being stumped a bit on the armor.
My goal right now?

Have the Boarding Shotgun Hellcat finished within two weeks--dependent upon whether or not my bases have arrived by then.
And get it looking nice.

Pleased to report I powered through that Muyib. I haven't painted a model that fast in a long time, and it's looking like my best model yet. I'll get photos of it and the Hawwa up this weekend.

Tomorrow I start on the second Nasmat.

24H to spare and I managed to chuck in a spare auxbot.

Up for next wednesday, my dragoe, which is barely more than primed atm. Maybe I'll throw in the GdA that belongs with the second auxbot, too. Might as well.

Music to my ears!

@Kan - Nice one on posting up a blog but what exactly is your pledge? A date and what you want to achieve by then is the easiest way for me to add the pledge to the OP.

@Victor - No worries on changing pledges, what date do you want me to change it to?

Sorry guys but I've taken my pledges down indefinitely. I'm entering a lot of competitions and I just don't have time right now, I'll get back to them as soon as I can. Sorry!

Right now I'm still waiting on my bases and Hellcats...so right as of now, I'm going to make a Tohaa pledge.

You can hold me to it.
I want to finish my Kamael infantry from the Tohaa starter box by August 10th.
