Nice one, Kan! Looking forward to it!

Proof!

Better shot of the Hawwa Sniper, and also the finished Muyib. The highlights are paler on the Muyib because I'm trying something new - highlighting with P3 Thrall Flesh for a more washed out look rather than mixing Jack Bone into Camo Green, which came out inconsistent at best.

Really lovely work, Loki! Nice to see you painting Infinity again. Do you get many games with them?

Not as many as I'd like. The next time my friend who plays Infinity makes the trip here we'll be playing though. Bit bored of wiping the floor with him at 40k.

Reporting a failed pledge here - partly because repairing the damage from the dragoe tipping over from a display shelf onto a wooden floor took some time (pretty much AOK now, except for one thing which is probably an improvement ^^ and some paint chipping which is still to be fixed) but mostly due to getting an airbrush working and since I'll probably be dicking around with that for a couple of weeks, I can't really pledge much I'm sure I'll be able to do. I'll get my Swiss Guard (only primed now) to "mostly done" status within a week (using airbrush), my armoured cavalry to "ready for detailing" or thereabouts in that same timeframe and get my dragoe looking at least ready enough for the tabletop in that week as well but none of them done, really. just waaay to attractive to play around for me atm

(I should probably start a P&M blog for this, I suppose. that would be an awful lot of random ranting, though - even for me )

I'm going to have to push my pledge back a week, due to unforseen circumstances (pulling two late nights at work then seeing The Wolverine late on a work night, then going out tonight, probably to buy more Infinity to add to the pile).

Sorry guys, I've not been very attentive recently. Loki, I've updated your pledge for the 21st. Keep at it. Victor's pledge is still on hold and Kan's is just around the corner. Sorry you couldn't make yours Bolog, hope you pledge again.

A bit of a ballsy move for me considering I've got an animation to do on top of other comission orders, but heres my pledge:

By the 23rd August, I hereby pledge to complete my nurgle zombie army. By complete I mean everything sculpted, painted (to a decent tt standard) and based to match my 'Greenstrider' Jungle fighting Tau Cadre.
Very tall order indeed, but probably the only way to get me motivated to finish them off!

List of stuff to do:
Complete 60 Zombie/infected Sculpts (approx)
Complete Pestilence, Dragon Lord of Nurgle (Count as Heldrake)
Complete Flying base for Blight Drone.

I'll try and get pics up as I go, feel free to harass me via PMs if I don't seem to be updating enough

My pledge got pushed back due to various family crises.

Both involving cancer (terminal in one case).

I'm still modelling and painting, but I'm also still waiting on those ghulams (who'd'a thunk that they'd be so hard to find?).
I'm also going to be in Melbourne for a week, which pushes it back again.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

My pledge got pushed back not because of crises(I hope everything is at least calm and not hectic for you Chromedog), but because of the distraction of my bases for the Nomads arriving and a massive trade from Alfndrate for a Cygnar army going through.

Plus the Kamael cloth/armor ratio puzzles the hell out of me and I cannot get it just right to save my life.

It's not that hectic - it's more that with my inlaws, something medical generally happens every year around late July/August and coincides with our wedding anniversary.

Val, Dul, sorry guys but your in the wrong place. Check the sub-forum.

Sorry to hear that chromedog, it's horrible news to receive. Keep the old chin up and try and take some time to smell the roses if you can.

Kan, do you want to change the date or drop the pledge?

I'm going to have to change my pledge. I won't be able to get models assembled as I forgot my cutting board. Instead I pledge to base, undercoat and get pain on my 7 Kaplans. 4 combi, 1 ADHL, 1 spitfire and 1 multi sniper

Hey no worries, dude. Out of interest, did you find the thread through 'recent threads' or something? We got 3 people through very quickly, it'd be nice to know where you guys came from.

While you're here, check out Infinity! I guarantee you will not regret taking up this game.

'Popular threads' perhaps? I think a thread like this has a rather high exalts to views ratio, so this could well happen again. A subtle change to the title, perhaps?

Made in gb

Yeh I think it's one or maybe more of those thread views. I'm tempted to change the name but I'd really rather people fell in here and thought, 'Damn, why am I not chugging down this delicious game instead of gagging on a lukewarm SM Centurion?'

Yeah, my pledge will have to go on hold for now. While the spirit is willing, the body has decided to rebel with some kind of cold or flu. Right now I have... a multitude of problems that keep me from staring at details without feeling like my head will explode.

Once it's gone, I'll take my pledge off hold. At the every leasy I should be able to catch up with building the last few models I've bought.

No worries man, hope you feel better soon. I'll update the OP.

So I was thinking, would you guys prefer a + and - scoring system instead of the current system?
Example:
Every pledge you complete gets you +1 and every failed pledge gives you -1.
[..........!..........] 0 Points
[..........l....!.....] 5 Points
[.......!..l..........] -3 Points
[..........l.........!] 10 Points
