Nah, sand, rocks and small burned patches of grass is going fine at the moment.
But that was the main reason i use the burned grass tufts.
Also, nurgle isnt anti-life, he has his own garden! lol.

Reet, le update time... 
I'm a tad nervous about this as well... I'm showing you my baby... personally I love what I've done to the Exorcist, it still has a few things needing doing to it, but I have to order those next week.. boo and hiss... but anywho pics to follow... 
I have also finally finished cleaning the Hunter-Slayers!!! I now have sore thumbs and smell acetone permanently... Also included a pic of my messy workstation, as Vik wanted to see what it looks like... well whatever tickles your pickle

The only thing I'd change is, instead of the compressed image, take a cut out of the head instead. as the image is too squished lols.

Thats true... I missed the one on the dozer plate on purpose tbh lols. Due largely because the skull would have landed on the seam where the light flap folds... and it was too much hassle to GS

Busy? the Hunter-slayers only took a few hours to clean, even then, once I've got some pure acetone I'm going to give them one last dip and strip before mounting them on the bases I just ordered. Thats why I bought the hunter slayers lols... good old memories.. aka, old age  And thanks about the Exorcist... didn't take long to do tbh... most of it was waiting on the GS to set.

My god those things give me nightmares to this day - I made him swear to buy Forge World for the others he wants to get.
Though I should imagine that on the end of a stick a single Exorcist could be used like a mace.

I like the mace exorcist... although, by the time I get this brick of a tank one, they'll end up finecasting it...

Thanks Vik, yup, twas all sculpted by moi. Using patience and gak load of sculpting tools... the trick is to apply the GS, shape it to the form you want, then wait 15-25 minutes before smoothing it out into a more pleasing one. Trouble is, the SoB list I've got written up is Order of the Sacred Rose... and its all white... and I hate painting white... grrrrrrrrrrr. well it's white and black... the armour being white and everything else being black :faceepalm:
Hey at least when I paint the metal nids up you'll be able to see the detail on them... which was more than could be said about how they used to look... the phrase I'm looking for is "Dip and Shake"

I plan on doing it the hard war Vik, Spacewolves grey > Fenrisian grey > Skull White... I like to shade rather than block colour.

Going to strip the organs barrels and re-paint it . but currently, I'm making a plasticard "horseshoe" to sit on, as it was ill fitting before. As I said before... the single most ill fitting kit GW has ever produced... give me FW any day... and why FW got the basic variant of the Exorcist I'll never know, as I'd have thought the mobile church variant would have been more suited to the talents of the model makers there.

Wash as in paint? or wash as in clean?
If paint, then thinned coats of your chosen colour, in whatever recesses you want doing, and between wash layers, clean up and overlay onto the primary colour by touching it up. hope that makes sense?

does make sense... but it still doesnt say on the top of the box which one i should use... scheme is pretty simple really... white pants...red vest and so on... carpace is white too... i thought about using a blue wash? would that be a wise choice? the effect should make the white even more clean and cold looking as a harsh contrast to the warm looking red...?
