Well, you're right. It's just a natural lichen so it is a consistent color throughout. I have an idea how to dress it up a bit that is consistent with the rest of the base though.

Knight looks solid, too. The thicker barrel was the way to go. Do agree with Moltar on hitting the bushes with a little shade. Just for that extra depth because the bushes are so large.

I need to go back to sorting out ways to project power across the battlefield. Good Lord gun-lines are boring to run. I don't know how Tau players could stand them for all those years.

Oh, did a really quick re-paint of a Vindicare that I picked up used. For some reason they'd painted his jump suit bright red. I just threw him together for the tournament. I'll touch up some of his details and finish the basing before I set him aside.

Nice addition. I think he need a dot of color in the eyes. draw your attention there. Other wise it on the suppressor.

I think red eyes would really set it off nicely (and go with your beautiful AD Mech). That model always makes me laugh, I used to call mine 'The Compensator'.

Worked on some orks tonight. First unit of Red Skull Kommandos is nearly done and began the creation of the jump packs for my storm boys.

No, no presents. But my eldest cleaned the boat for me (which was amazing) and my wife took us all out for a fancy dinner.

Well, I'm inordinately proud of these for a bunch of badly painted miniatures. Guess I just like to find new purposes for old plastic. Red Skull Kommandoz are done. First step in the reconstitution of the old ork army (well, second step of you count the Morkanaut that Cam made for me). Sorry for the quality of the pic, new box and I don't have any photo software on it yet.

I'm feeling a strong call of the Waaaaaaghh. The boys look like a good motley crew all together.

I miss seeing your boyz, glad to see them coming out of storage!

It's nice to be working on my orks again. I have some bigger projects that I'd like to do eventually but the first priority for me is getting the two units of Red Skulls and one or two units of Storm Boyz (30 figs total) ready to go. After that, I can start working on some more exciting projects.

I'm actually a few boys short for the next project, so I'll be building/ painting 4-5 slugga-boyz and continuing to work on their rokkits. The rokkits will be very simple... sections of tube with GS nose-cones (already done). Will be adding fins next, then finally inserting a long pin at an angle into the rokkit, the other end of which will be inserted into the back of the slugga boy to make them convertible (either sluggas or storms).

I really like the way you did your Burna boys. The various red masks really come off looking good.
