Great redesign, but the butt manes have to go.

Actually, I'll probably stick to Khymerae for my Eschers and use the Phyrcats for something else. Something Warcry maybe.

I'd be really surprised if those were plastic (wish they were). But to me they look like resin sculpts. It's just that they were likely sculpted digitally like most of the other recent FW stuff. That recent doc model also looked like he could have been a single clampack sprue but he turned out to be resin.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. Just got my WD, and it’s got rules for Outlaw Brutes!

1. Scrap code Corrupted Ambot
2. Mutated Ogryn
3. Warp Horror (using the three headed Nurgle model from Rogue Trader
4. Sump Beast. Model used is a scratch build!

Mutated Ogryn. Is that the Traitor Command Ogryn, or a conversion?

They use the TC ogryn as an example of one. Amboy is converted slightly, sump beast is body of a sea king deep mare mount with head of a karibdiss.

Wow. Both look really great.

Funny that they say the Ambot has skulls from the Citadel Skull set, when the "head" is actually a Master of Possession's staff

Now I want to do an Ambot with this as the head:

Converted Ambots are the new mutilators.
You know, if anyone wants to field mutilators.

They used the Traitor Command one, but it’s all an excuse to convert.

The three different poses look very similar.

Am I wrong in thinking that with the Orlocks the sprue could make them like quite different?
I feel like I’d only want one sprue as they are too ‘duplicated’ in look here..

Juve with shield and green goblin hover board now?

No cool new weapon this time.

Though, I’ll definitely reduce the flight stand height a little. Having o e of those topple off a high tower will be painful...

I do hope we'll see some standalone female Van Saar gangers (like Orlock), and that the champions are sufficiently distinct from the Arachni-rig Brute option (they did call it a Spider-rig suit, but...).

An interesting idea for the juves, but I had hoped the champions might be more focused on special weapons that had multiple profiles that were changeable on the fly.

As minis go, they look ok. Looks very much pose locked.

What game are they for again? Necromunda, you say? Huh. Alright, if you say so...

Look alone, I like the miniatures. Talking about gameplay...I'm not fond of the hoverboards standing on a flying peg put on a 25mm base when they're that big. Especially these fragile incurved flying pegs...not even talking about how bad they look on Necromunda bases (you better paint the base before glueing the peg, and even so watch out for the type of glue you're using...you often end up ruining the paint job that way).

Also, do we really need more flying fighters in Necromunda ? I mean, those will really look awkward in a Zone Mortalis map (meaning with walls that you can't climb / pass through) but will be awesome in Mechanicus (3D) maps. And if Van Saar have flying oversized hoverboards, I really don't get why they didn't give motorbikes to Orlocks. Don't really like where this is going, frankly - the high mobility juves riding stuff part, I mean.

WellI don't think anyone at the studio play the game seriously..

The whole concept of supposedly suicidal fighters riding high tech hover boards, and carrying shields already made no sense. Actually these "prospects" so far aren't cheap and/or usually come with very expensive equipments.

Actually, fluff wise, that makes sense - they don't care how expensive it is and since they're young, they don't think too much about the possibility of dieing. They just want to show off and prove themselves to their gang.

But gameplay wise, it's indeed quite tough to equip that with high tech expensive stuff at the beginning...especially in a Van Saar gang that tends to have already expensive fighters because of their high shooting skills and plasma guns.

Maybe they'll get discounts like the orlocks ?

Then again... they're Van Saar. The way they dress is not a simple fashion statement. Coexisting with death is kind of their schtick.

I think the important part that need explain is where the money for those equipments come from. With the only plausible explanation is that these prospects are rich kid from the upper hive using their parent's credit card.

To be honest, the same can be said for the whole Van Saar house.

Having access to a STC, even defective, looks like to have the same effect in the end !

Err no, gangs are funded by their house for their service, and they don't spend all the money on the worst fighters in the gangs, unless it's the parent that own the bank.

And that's not just Van Saar, The Storm Welder from Goliath isn't cheap, same for the Escher's rat lizards, and Orlock wreckers aren't cheap, but are probably the most reasonably priced.

Actually I just made up another plausible explanation, that the "prospects" are winners from some kind of "underhive talents contest" held within the gang houses.
