Thought I Would share this totem nest I built for Jonathan Hartmans Lesotho 212 game in January . As WD have kindly popped it in this months Blanchitsu.

Not been building much of late but I Wouldn't mind makiing a new board next year. Been enjoying collecting the munda models though.

Neil! It's been too long again, loving that totem, it would look great in a city square.

Also the praise is almost exactly one year late but I never saw the hive city and it is truly a thing of beauty! I thought I was the only one mad enough to build something at that scale but of course you would have beaten me to it

What are the plans for a new board?

Cheers chaps,

@monkey reminds me of the weird spider toy in toystory 2.

@Commander I Kinda hop GW make some sort of hive scale model again , like the one from the hexagonal campaign game , but much bigger and more detailed .
Nothing fancy re new board , probably a human peasant grox farm for 40k board for a small skirmish game that has resided in my head for years.

Hey bro. Haven't been on here for a long time but was thinking of you and PDH recently and wanted to say you were a massive part of my childhood. Sold it all awhile ago, wanted to meet women. And focusing on more useful hobbies, finishing my Carpentry apprenticeship etc. Would rather my kids just be normal kids. You understand, no one wants an artist for a son. But you are a real wizard with the models. This stuff is samey samey, but when you are good you are bloody good. Your not bipolar by any chance are you. Anyway. Stay well stay strong Kia Kaha from NZ.

Hey grag glad to hear your doing well mate. I ditched the hobby for over 20 years 2010 was my comeback year. Cant believe its been nearly 9 years since my 1st post. The doctor told me i wasn't bi polar but for a while i thought i may be. I have been working full time for a year so not much hobby time but i have a few pokers in the fire so to speak . Hope your carpentry is successful you have a great artistic eye. Always enjoyed your grimdark narrative models.

Aye up folks, Grags post has inspired me to put up some stuff i worked on this year. Not had as much hobby time as previous years but i am getting back in the swing of things.

so i made some imperial army types a while back. based on the classic gallagher wd front cover

these then became the basis for a long held dream to create a ten man old school tactical ig squad

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Oh, my god! I LOVE this thing! The scale is absolutely stunning. The corrosion, the overlap, the disintegration, the aggregate mess. It's just fantastic. Really evokes the grimdark horror of an semi-abandoned yet somehow still barely-functional factory. This totally looks the part. I can't heap enough praise on this thing. It's just fantastic.

You need a disclaimer at the start of that post, I was not ready for all that amazing looking terrain!

No idea how you dirtied up the first piece so well. It looks like it's been neglected for a century just collecting all kinds of dirt, I just want to take a pressure washer to the whole thing

And wow, the large piece is just mindblowing. So much detail crammed into every square centimeter, fantastic...

this "raises" quite some questions... "how" and "why"... alsthough i know the answer to the why..."because"

but how on earth did you bring it in the backyard of yours? weight and height sure makes this a task like moving a piano... and the looming fear of destroying it in a blink of an eye....

that aside... truly mad genius of an artist... we wouldn´t have expected anything less than amazing...

cheers, vik
