I've seen the prototype, it's well shaped and I trust them to manage it well. They are very conscious of their brand aesthetic: they held applications for designers in the past year and a requisite was an understanding of such.
Can anyone tell me which figures have been shown? The dragon? Valandar? The infernals?
[scratches head]
I have seen the entire base pledge, dragon, etc and scenery painted up. They're stunning, I'm suspecting a pro studio did them.
So why haven't they used them to pump up the backers?
The Dragon is one of the best out there without getting into large kits. It's fluid without being snakey, holds a real presence on the table. It doesn't suffer from the static posing many "claw raised, mouth snarling" (or what my friends uncharitably call "Sandra Garrity stock-pose") of others.
Valandar(sp) is beautifully simple and elegant whilst towering over other figures. His figure has movement without being ridiculous. I hate to draw comparisons, but think of the simplicity of Sigvald the Magnificent but taller, more active, and less inherently dickish.

Anyone who doesnt want their pledge can transfer it to me. I want in but cant, and didn't think of doing a $1 and buy in later at the time.
Mantic said they would include me and a few other lates, but I never heard anything, but Mantic did let someone sell their pledge on Boardgamegeek when they needed out. Admittedly that wasnt a $1 pledge, more like $300, but I couldn't buy in for that much, but I could buy in and then expand it to what I wanted.
Besides:

He can add you if they're still doing that. As of yesterday he was still offering.
I was asked to do so before I found my pet chemist was able to let me piggyback on his pledge. YMMV, good luck with your emailing.

I found a way in thank you. Because I was promised a late entry in September when I phoned up Mantic I talked about it and sent copy of documentation to a new separate address within Mantic head office given over the phone.
Mantic honoured the deal because the staffer who made the promise is no longer there and that accounts for why it wasn't actioned in good time..
The guy who did however is getting 'scowled at' apparently, as the Pledge Manager is formally closed so when I asked to disclose the method of entry to others who wanted in he said no. So it looks like I am the last in the door then.
There are a number of $1 pledgers though here and elsewhere, piggybacking should still be an option, but you have to decide now.
This is now going to wipe me out until next payday, but it will be worth it.

Be careful with the pledge manager, guys. Whilst you can still adjust and add to it, any additional submissions after the first will charge you for the full order again.
So adding a $15 dragon to a paid-up $100 pledge will bill you $115, and not finalise unless you pay again. We ended up having to phone Mantic to get this amended individually. I do not know if emailing would help.

To add to my Heroquest wait. I am getting used to this.

Chris Nicholls no longer works for Mantic. He promised me a pledge account in September 'in a few weeks'.
I phoned yesterday sent details to the person I spoke to and the pledge manager was actioned by email.
I cannot say who I got the current offer from though as that door is intended to be shut.
I thank Mantic for honouring their promise back in September.

There will be only one shot to get it right, and a limited budget anyway.
I am still debating my final purchase even though, though I have been thinking about it for a long time, due to not being sure exactly how much I can spend on the day.
I will have the money banked tomorrow and am looking at:
Dungeon Master $100
Warlord of Galahir $25
Infernal Crypts $25
Tyrant of Halpi $25
Black Fortress $25
Resin Counter upgrade $10
Dungeon Traps $8
Collectors edition hardback (Free with over $200 spent)
I might have to drop Dungeon Traps if the exchange rate to USD is not favourable.
I am also looking twice at Black Fortress, I will spend that $25 to go over $200, though I need not, but extra tiles, do I need them. I will have bonus tiles in the other three boxsets.
So far I am thinking yes because of the Black Fortress scenarios promised in the Dungeon Master level. However I could spend that cash on miniatures instead, Crypt stalkers, or one of the resin upgraded heroes packs.
Decisions, decisions.

More campaigns, more quests, more tiles, more furniture, more everything.
All of that will further whatever devious dungeons you crawl, be they random ones or overlord designed ones.
Between the expansions and the base pledge I would imagine you'd have more than enough figures, plus who knows how many hordes of figures you've already got in your collection.
Plus you may still be able to get more figures when they reopen the pledge manager. Hopefully.
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
I need somehelp with the pledge manager, how do I pay? I want to avoid Paypal because of currency conversion fees. Can I use VISA?

I'm pretty sure I used VISA in my Dungeon Saga pledge manager.
Though, it's worth saying that with paypal, you can pick the other option that is, 'charge me in dollars and I'll go with whatever my bank charges.'
Though, yeah, paypal really do try to scare you out of picking that option, but everytime I've done it, it's ended up being in the region of £5+ cheaper than Paypal's scheme.
Oh well, today is the day and the pound chooses today to dip against the dollar.
Just my luck.
Had the pledge account actioned today though, so I will be in.

I had no choice, as this was a get in while the door was closing. I had to go with the days rate which was about £4 more than the day before.
I asked to pay in pounds its a UK company, but the crowdfund and associated pledges are in dollars only.
Now I am in however I am thinking of adding more. I dont need an extra dragon, but the $15 pricetag makes me all kinds of stupid.

Yeah, I would recommend waiting for them to open again... As I said above, adding more items and resubmitting the PM just doubles your cost and asks you to pay again..
Remember you need to spend OVER $200 to qualify, I would nudge just over the line to be safe. Buy a dice bag or something.
My loadout came to $210, were it not for the offer I would have bought less, probably avoiding the Black Fortress and resin counters, though the counters were tempting anyway.
When I did my order the Collectors edition hardback didn't show up on the shopping cart, I decided to just continue without and put a note on the delivery instructions; then emailed Mantic.
Eventually they replied:

<Mantic>,
The Hardback companion free with over $200 USD could not be purchased except at full price. Can you confirm that I will be able to get my hardback copy. I bought the Black Fortress primarily to qualify for this.
Notification has been added to my delivery notes.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
The hardback book will be added automatically from our end if you spend $200 or over so you don't have to worry about it.
Thanks,

So it looks like you just put in your order, qualify and then get your hardback. Allowing for its regular price its a good idea to budge your order up, hardback books are expensive now, and it lookslike it will be fairly big.

Video, showing the book style packaging and sneaky Dragon!
I was wrong about the book casing being KS exclusive, and I'm really sorry. At the first playtest it was explained to us that way, but it looks like they changed for a more viable plan.
BUT there is an exclusive deal where if you buy all 3 expansions for the KS you get an extra book case free for all your swag.
Also the pledge manager is now re-opened until Friday. So you can swag it up further...
For folks like me that don't get the emails, check out the new update . Photos!

Well I got to see the dragon. It's different, much more bulky than most.
I wonder if other dragons rib him for being so fat. Been eating the wrong maidens probably.
