Initially I was just going to do a small order to round off my army but I was that happy with my first set of pictures I've decided what the hell and decided to bulk up my wood elves as best as possible.

For those of you who don't know me, or my work, I am Joshua Allan Howdeshell, thus JAHminis. I am a former industry painter, having painted for Privateer Press, Crocodile Games, Aberrant Games, and Dragonblood Miniatures. I am a Golden Demon winner, a Golden Bolter winner, and too many others to list. All of my work is published in the CoolMiniorNot Annual (three years running now, with more to come in the 2012 and 2013 annuals).

I take commissions for high-end tabletop and display quality single minis. Conversions, minor sculpting, and kit bashes are more than welcome. If you have an HQ unit that you want to look its best, and stand-out on the table, get in touch, and we can discuss a project. I am also avalilable for 54mm and 72mm scales, if you just want an awesome display model.

All prices are $50 less than normal for DakkaDakka users, so they start at $150US, instead of $200. Here are a few examples of my work, and the Dakka rates for the job.

All of my minis are prepped to perfection (no moldlines or gaps), pinned, and painted to the best of my ability. They are all varnished for protection, and play, on the tabletop.

International shipping is via Registered Mail, and all payments are accepted via Paypal. 50% down is required at the start of the project, and the other 50% when you are happy with the completed mini.

Basic - base colors, drybrudh, wash, highlight key details. 1 euro per model. great for large horde armies
Standard - basecoat, washs, Layering and hard edgeing techniques. 2 euro per model.
Centerpiece - 8-20 layers and washs. freehand designs. 3.50 euro per model. Stand out unit champions and army generals at an affordable price.
This is just a basic template and I am perfectly willing to negotiate the price of the project. I am also willing to do assembly and prime, basecoating and converting work.

I’m looking at doing commissions for some spare cash. For now I’ll only take commissions within the US. Prices are reasonable, and the job will be completed in a reasonable time frame, typically 1-2 weeks from delivery of mini. Rush jobs (1-2 days of delivery) are possible at no extra charge if of reasonable size (single Trygon sized mini, 5 Terminator sized minis, or 10 human sized minis or less in a single well defined color scheme) and backlog (if any) permits. Basing, cleanup, and conversions are available, I always prefer less assembly. If you are in the Chicago-land area I can do personal pickup, discussion, and delivery at Games Plus.

My Qualities, Minimal Play, Table Top, and Display.
Large (dragon) simple (2-3 colors) minis painted to minimal play quality may have simple shading of some sort (dry-brush or wash) applied.

Looking for a some extra cash this summer, so I'm available as a painting service. I'm not the greatest painter, but I can paint to fairly nice degree. Since I'm not a fantabulous painter like some people around here, I'm fairly cheap. Since they are cheap though, I would rather do groups of miniatures. I'd rather not just paint one unless it is quite large. Some examples of my work, with pricing:

$3 for around 28mm size, with a normal amount of detail.



$6 for a larger miniature


$10 for a large, highly detailed miniature
